Detailed Description
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Here, the vehicle body is defined in the vertical, front, rear, left, and right directions based on the line of sight of the occupant seated on the motorcycle.
Fig. 1 schematically shows a motorcycle 11 according to an embodiment of the present invention. A motorcycle (saddle-ride type vehicle) 11 includes a body cover 12 attached to a vehicle body frame. The body cover 12 covers the vehicle body frame (in the figure, the vehicle body frame is covered by the body cover 12). A front fork 13 is steerably supported on the frame. A front wheel WF is rotatably supported around an axle 14 on the front fork 13. A front wheel brake 15 is mounted on the front wheel WF.
The handlebar 16 is coupled to the front fork 13. The handlebar 16 includes a lever-type handlebar 17 extending in the lateral direction in parallel with the axle 14. A throttle grip 18 and a brake grip 19 are provided at the right end of the lever type handle 17. The braking force of the front wheel brake 15 acts on the front wheel WF in response to the operation of the brake handle 19.
A swing arm 21 is connected to the frame via a support shaft extending in the horizontal direction. The swing arm 21 is connected to the frame so as to be swingable in the vertical direction around a support shaft. A rear wheel WR is rotatably supported around the axle 22 at a free end of the swing arm 21. A rear wheel brake 23 is mounted on the rear wheel WR. The braking force of the rear wheel brake 23 is controlled based on, for example, the operation of a brake pedal.
A seat 25 is supported on the frame at a position slightly closer to the rear wheel WR between the front wheel WF and the rear wheel WR. A riding section 26 is formed between the handlebar 16 and the seat 25. The riding section 26 is recessed further toward the ground than the seat 25. The straddle portion 26 is partitioned by the vehicle body cover 12.
The vehicle body cover 12 includes a cover 27. The cover 27 opens and closes an opening defined by the vehicle body cover 12. The opening opens a storage space under the seat 25.
A power unit 28 is mounted below the seat 25 below the storage space. The power unit 28 is supported by the frame. The power unit 28 includes an engine and a transmission. The rotational force of the engine is transmitted to the rear wheel WR through a chain, for example.
As shown in fig. 2, the vehicle body frame 31 includes: a head pipe 32 that steerably supports the front fork 13, a main frame 33 that extends rearward and downward from the head pipe 32, and a pair of left and right seat rails 34 that are connected to the rear ends of the main frame 33 and extend rearward and upward. A fuel tank 35 is mounted under the seat 25 on the seat rail 34. Fuel is supplied from the fuel tank 35 to the power unit 28. A storage space 36 is defined between the fuel tank 35 and the main frame 33. A battery case 37 and an ABS (antilock brake system) module 38 are disposed in the housing space 36.
A pivot frame 39 is connected to the rear portion of the main frame 33. The pivot frame 39 extends downward from the main frame 33. The power unit 28 is connected to the pivot frame 39. The pivot frame 39 supports the power unit 28. The power unit 28 is then arranged below the main frame 33. A pivot shaft of the swing arm 21 is supported by the pivot frame 39.
As shown in fig. 3, the body frame 31 includes a sub-frame 41 connecting the main frame 33 and the seat rail 34. The sub-frames 41 extend to the left and right sides of the housing space 36. The front end of the sub-frame 41 is fixed to the main frame 33 at a position shifted forward by a predetermined distance from the fixing portion C of the main frame 33 and the seat rail 34. The rear end of the sub-frame 41 is fixed to the corresponding seat rail 34 at a position shifted rearward by a predetermined distance from the fixing portion C of the main frame 33 and the seat rail 34. Then, the sub-frame 41 is interlocked with the main frame 33 and the corresponding seat rail 34 to establish a truss structure.
A cross bar 42 is disposed between the sub-frames 41. The cross bar 42 extends horizontally to the left and right of the vehicle body, and couples the sub-frames 41 to each other. The cross bar 42 is disposed between the ABS module 38 and the fuel tank 35 in the height direction of the vehicle body, and is disposed offset rearward from the ABS module 38 in the vehicle body front-rear direction as shown in fig. 4.
The ABS module 38 is connected to pipes 43 and 43. One pipe 43 extends from the brake grip 19. The other pipe 43 extends from the front wheel brake 15. The hydraulic pressure generated by the operation of the brake handle 19 is introduced from the pipe 43 to the ABS module 38. The ABS module 38 temporarily reduces the braking force of the front wheel brake 15 in accordance with the rotation speed of the front wheel WF. With this reduction in braking force, locking of the front wheels WF can be avoided.
The ABS module 38 is disposed above the rear portion of the main frame 33 between the pair of left and right seat rails 34. Similarly, the battery case 37 is disposed between the pair of right and left seat rails 34. The battery case 37 is located near and in front of the ABS module 38.
As shown in fig. 5, the ABS module 38 and the pivot frame 39 are arranged in a vertical direction, and the fuel tank 35 is arranged above the ABS module 38. Further, the sub-frame 41 and the ABS module 38 overlap at least partially when viewed from the side. The main frame 33 overlaps the fixing portion C of the seat rail 34 and the ABS module 38 in a plan view.
A riding section 26 is formed in front of the battery case 37. The riding section 26 and the battery case 37 are separated from each other by the cover 27 of the vehicle body cover 12. When the cover 27 is opened, the battery case 37 in the receiving space 36 is accessible from the outside.
With respect to the configuration of the ABS module 38, the ABS module 38 is fixed to the bracket 45. One end 45a of the bracket 45 is fixed to the pivot frame 39. The bolt 46 may be used as a fastening member for fixing. The bracket 45 extends from one end 45a fixed to the pivot frame 39 across the upper surface of the main frame 33. As shown in fig. 6, the other end 45b of the bracket 45 is coupled to an auxiliary bracket 47 fixed to the sub-frame 41 on the opposite side of the pivot frame 39. The bolt 48 may be used as a fastening member for fastening.
A flat plate portion 49 extending in the horizontal direction is formed on the bracket 45 between the one end 45a and the other end 45 b. The flat plate portion 49 is formed with an auxiliary flat plate portion 51 that rises perpendicularly from the flat plate portion 49. The ABS block 38 is fixed to the flat plate portion 49 and the auxiliary flat plate portion 51 by bolts 52.
The bolts 46, 48 are screw-coupled with, for example, screw holes formed in the pivot frame 39 or the auxiliary bracket 47. As shown in fig. 7, a rubber fitting 53 as an elastic member is interposed between the bolts 46 and 48 and the bracket 45 during screwing. A rubber mount 54 is attached to the bracket 45 directly above the main frame 33. The rubber fitting 54 is sandwiched between the bracket 45 and the main frame 33. Here, a single frame having a rectangular cross section may be used for the main frame 33.
In the motorcycle 11 of the present embodiment, an ABS module 38 is disposed between a pair of right and left seat rails 34 above the rear portion of the main frame 33. The main frame 33 extends rearward and downward from the head pipe 32, so the main frame 33 approaches the ground as it faces rearward. The ABS module 38 is disposed at the lowest position in the vehicle body frame 31. Therefore, the ABS module 38 is disposed below the vehicle body (below in the direction of gravity), and the center of gravity of the vehicle body can be lowered.
The power unit 28 as a weight is supported by the pivot frame 39. The ABS module 38 and the pivot frame 39 are arranged side by side. Therefore, the power unit 28 and the ABS module 38, which are heavy objects, are arranged at the center of the vehicle body in a concentrated manner in a plan view. Further, a fuel tank 35 is disposed above the ABS module 38, and a seat 25 is disposed above the fuel tank 35. Thus, the weight is intensively arranged at the center of the vehicle body between the front wheel WF and the rear wheel WR. In addition, the limited space under the fuel tank 35 can be effectively utilized.
In the motorcycle 11 of the present embodiment, at least a part of the sub-frame 41 and the ABS module 38 overlap each other in a side view, and the main frame 33 overlaps the fixing portion C of the seat rail 34 and the ABS module 38 in a plan view. The sub-frame 41 can more firmly connect the main frame 33 and the seat rail 34, and the ABS module 38 can be disposed in a region where the rigidity is improved by the main frame 33, the seat rail 34, and the sub-frame 41.
As previously described, the bracket 45 may be used when the ABS module 38 is secured. One end 45a of the bracket 45 is fixed to the pivot frame 39 or the main frame 33, and the other end 45b is fixed to the sub-frame 41. By fixing the ABS module 38 to the vertically extending brackets 45 supported by the two frames 33, 34, the position deviation of the ABS module 38 can be suppressed.
One end 45a of the bracket 45 is fixed to the pivot frame 39 by a bolt 46 via a rubber fitting 53. The other end 45b of the bracket 45 is fixed to the sub-frame 41 by a bolt 48 via a rubber fitting 53 in the vehicle width direction. Thus, by fixing the ABS module 38 to the vehicle body via the elastic member, the ABS module 38 can be protected from vibrations transmitted from the power unit 28. Similarly, vibrations transmitted from the wheels WF and WR to the ABS module 38 during running can be reduced.
The battery case 37 is disposed near and in front of the ABS module 38 and between the pair of right and left seat rails 34. The battery case 37 is formed with a riding section 26 at the front. The space above the main frame and below the fuel tank 35 can be effectively used by disposing the ABS module 38 in the housing space 36, disposing the straddle portion 26 in the front of the housing space 36, sandwiching the sub-frame 41 between the right and left sides, surrounding the upper side by the fuel tank 35, and disposing the battery case 37 in the front.
In the present embodiment, the bracket 45 and the constituent members of the vehicle body frame are fixed via the rubber mount (elastic member) 53, but the bracket 45 and the ABS module 38 may be fixed via an elastic member.
