Abstract

本发明公开了一种三维显示装置及其驱动方法,采用电致发光显示面板来替代传统形式的背光设置在液晶显示面板的下方,可使整个三维显示装置轻薄化。在三维显示模式下,电致发光显示面板中形成在行方向和列方向均交替排列的发光区域和黑色区域,且发光区域以RGBX为一像素重复排列,从而形成异形光栅结构,电致发光显示面板除了提供背光还兼容了后置三维光栅的作用,利于三维显示装置整体的轻薄化设计。在三维显示模式下,控制对应于同一发光区域的用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各第一亚像素显示不同的灰阶信息,使人的左右眼分别位于两个视点时接收具有不同灰阶信息的图像,从而产生立体视觉,实现了亚像素级别的裸眼三维显示。

Description

一种三维显示装置及其驱动方法
技术领域
本发明涉及三维显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种三维显示装置及其驱动方法。
背景技术
三维(3D)显示技术的主要原理是使观看者的左眼和右眼分别接收具有细微差异的图像,即左视图和右视图,两幅视图经过大脑的分析后整合从而使观看者感知画面物体的深度,进而产生立体感。
早期的3D显示装置需要使用者佩戴相应的3D眼镜,近年来裸眼3D显示器件备受关注。实现裸眼3D显示的装置一般有两种类型:狭缝光栅式3D显示装置和微透镜阵列式3D显示装置。狭缝光栅式又称为视差屏障,通常使用开关液晶屏、高分子液晶层和偏振膜实现,通过控制开关液晶屏中上、下基板的电极之间的电压差,使高分子液晶层中液晶分子发生旋转,形成不透明条纹,即视差障栅。当液晶屏开关打开时,在这些视差障栅的作用下,左眼图像只能由左眼看到,而右眼将被遮挡;右眼图像只能由右眼看到,而左眼将被遮挡。当液晶屏开关关闭时,显示面板不会出现视差障栅,从而成为普通的2D显示器。
目前,现有裸眼三维显示装置均需要在显示面板的前方额外增加可实现视差屏障的3D光栅,这不利于三维显示装置的轻薄化。
发明内容
有鉴于此,本发明实施例提供了一种三维显示装置及其驱动方法,用以提供轻薄化的三维显示装置。
因此,本发明实施例提供的一种三维显示装置,包括:液晶显示面板,以及设置在所述液晶显示面板下方的电致发光显示面板;其中,
所述电致发光显示面板具有紧密排列且在行方向和列方向均交替排布的多个第一区域和第二区域;在三维显示模式下,各所述第一区域为发光区域,各所述第二区域为黑色区域,且所述发光区域以分别位于两行或两列的RGBX为一像素重复排列;
所述液晶显示面板具有呈阵列排布的多个第一亚像素;行相邻的每至少两个所述第一亚像素对应一个所述第一区域;在三维显示模式下,对应同一所述第一区域的各所述第一亚像素中,用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各所述第一亚像素显示的灰阶互不相同。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,在二维显示模式下,对应同一所述第一区域的各所述第一亚像素显示的灰阶均相同。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,所述液晶显示面板为黑白液晶显示面板。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,所述X为R、B、G、Y或W。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,在二维显示模式下,所述电致发光显示面板中的各所述第二区域为黑色区域。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,各所述第一区域和各所述第二区域为第二亚像素;或,各所述第一区域为第二亚像素,各所述第二区域为各所述第二亚像素之间被黑矩阵覆盖的区域。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,在二维显示模式下,所述电致发光显示面板中的各所述第二区域为与任一侧行相邻的所述第一区域发光颜色相同的发光区域。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,各所述第一区域和各所述第二区域为第二亚像素。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,每个所述第一区域的中心位置与对应的行相邻的至少两个所述第一亚像素的中心连线的中心位置重合。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,每个所述第一区域的中心位置与对应的行相邻的至少两个所述第一亚像素中的其中一个所述第一亚像素的中心位置重合。
在一种可能的实现方式中,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,各所述第一区域的形状为正方形、菱形或圆形;各所述第一亚像素的长宽比为1:1。
本发明实施例还提供了一种本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置的驱动方法,包括:
在三维显示模式下,控制位于液晶显示面板下方的电致发光显示面板中的各第一区域进行发光显示;并控制所述液晶显示面板的对应同一所述第一区域的各第一亚像素中,用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各所述第一亚像素显示不同的灰阶信息。
在一种可能的实现方式中,本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法,还包括:在二维显示模式下,控制所述液晶显示面板中对应同一所述第一区域的各所述第一亚像素显示相同的灰阶信息。
在一种可能的实现方式中,本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法,各所述第一区域和各所述第二区域为第二亚像素,所述驱动方法还包括:在二维显示模式下,控制所述电致发光显示面板中各第二区域进行与任一侧行相邻的所述第一区域相同的发光显示。
在一种可能的实现方式中,本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法,在三维显示装置中,每个所述第一区域的中心位置与对应的行相邻的至少两个所述第一亚像素中的其中一个所述第一亚像素的中心位置重合;所述驱动方法,还包括:
在三维显示模式下,当确定三维显示装置的屏幕发生旋转时,重新确定各所述第一区域与各第一亚像素的对应关系。
本发明实施例的有益效果包括:
本发明实施例提供的一种三维显示装置及其驱动方法,采用电致发光显示面板来替代传统形式的背光设置在液晶显示面板的下方,可使整个三维显示装置轻薄化。在三维显示模式下,电致发光显示面板中形成在行方向和列方向均交替排列的发光区域和黑色区域,且发光区域以分别位于两行或两列的RGBX为一像素重复排列,从而形成异形光栅结构,使电致发光显示面板除了提供液晶显示面板的背光还兼容了后置三维光栅的作用,省去了在液晶显示面板前方额外增加三维光栅,利于三维显示装置整体的轻薄化设计且利于前置的液晶显示面板附加触控等功能;并且,由于电致发光显示面板在实现黑态时亮度近乎为零,黑白态对比度较高,因此形成的三维光栅易于得到低串扰的三维显示。由于电致发光显示面板中的每个发光区域(第一区域)均对应液晶显示面板中行相邻的至少两个第一亚像素,各第一亚像素用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息,因此,在三维显示模式下,控制对应于同一发光区域(第一区域)的用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各第一亚像素显示不同的灰阶信息,使相邻的两个视点之间接收具有不同灰阶信息的图像,人的左右眼分别位于两个视点时会接收两幅不同的图像,再由两眼的视觉汇合到大脑中成为一个像,从而产生了立体视觉,实现了亚像素级别的裸眼三维显示。

具体实施方式
下面结合附图,对本发明实施例提供的三维显示装置及其驱动方法的具体实施方式进行详细地说明。
附图中各区域的形状不反映真实比例,目的只是示意说明本发明内容。
本发明实施例提供了一种三维显示装置,如图1所示,包括:液晶显示面板100,以及设置在液晶显示面板100下方的电致发光显示面板200;其中,
如图2a和图2b所示,电致发光显示面板200具有紧密排列且在行方向和列方向均交替排布的多个第一区域201和第二区域202;在三维显示模式下,各第一区域201为发光区域,各第二区域202为黑色区域,且发光区域以分别位于两行或两列的RGBX为一像素203重复排列;其中,X为R、B、G、Y或W;图2a示出了在电致发光显示面板200中两行的RGBX为一像素203的情况;图2b示出了图2a旋转90度后,在电致发光显示面板200中两列的RGBX为一像素203的情况;
如图3a和图3b所示,液晶显示面板100具有呈阵列排布的多个第一亚像素101;行相邻的每至少两个第一亚像素101对应一个第一区域201;在三维显示模式下,对应同一第一区域201的各第一亚像素101中,用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各第一亚像素101显示的灰阶互不相同。图3a和图3b以一个第一区域201对应行相邻的两个第一亚像素101为例进行说明;图3a为与图2a所示的发光区域(第一区域201)对应的各第一亚像素101的排布,图3b为与图2b所示的发光区域(第一区域201)对应的各第一亚像素101的排布,其中,在液晶显示面板100中行相邻的第一亚像素r1和r2对应于电致发光显示面板200中的发光区域R,第一亚像素g1和g2对应于发光区域G,第一亚像素b1和b2对应于发光区域B,第一亚像素x1和x2对应于发光区域X。
本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置,采用电致发光显示面板200来替代传统形式的背光设置在液晶显示面板100的下方,可使整个三维显示装置轻薄化。在三维显示模式下,电致发光显示面板200中形成在行方向和列方向均交替排列的发光区域和黑色区域,且发光区域以分别位于两行或两列的RGBX为一像素203重复排列,从而形成异形光栅结构,使电致发光显示面板200除了提供液晶显示面板100的背光还兼容了后置三维光栅的作用,省去了在液晶显示面板100前方额外增加三维光栅,利于三维显示装置整体的轻薄化设计且利于前置的液晶显示面板100附加触控等功能;并且,由于电致发光显示面板200在实现黑态时亮度近乎为零,黑白态对比度较高,因此形成的三维光栅易于得到低串扰的三维显示。
本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,如图4所示,由于电致发光显示面板中的每个发光区域(第一区域201)均对应液晶显示面板100中行相邻的至少两个第一亚像素101,各第一亚像素101用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息;因此,如图5a所示,在三维显示模式下,控制对应于同一发光区域(第一区域201)的用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各第一亚像素101显示的不同的灰阶信息,使相邻的两个视点之间接收具有不同灰阶信息的图像,人的左右眼分别位于两个视点时会接收两幅不同的图像,再由两眼的视觉汇合到大脑中成为一个像,从而产生了立体视觉,实现了亚像素级别的裸眼三维显示。在图5a中以一个发光区域对应两个第一亚像素为例示出了实现两视点的情况,其中以“1”和“2”区分不同灰阶,左眼接收到灰阶为1的画面信息,右眼接收到灰阶为2的画面信息。在具体实施时,一个发光区域可以对应三个第一亚像素即实现三视点的情况,一个发光区域也可以对应四个第一亚像素来实现四视点或两视点(相邻两个第一亚像素组成一个视点),以此类推。
进一步地,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置需要进行二维图像显示时,即在二维显示模式下,如图5b所示,只需要将液晶显示面板100中对应于同一发光区域(第一区域201)的各第一亚像素101调节成显示相同的灰阶,即可使人的左右眼在不同的视点观看到相同的两幅图像,从而实现二维显示。在图5b中以一个发光区域对应两个第一亚像素为例示出了实现两视点的情况,其中以“1”表示相同的灰阶。
优选地,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,液晶显示面板100采用黑白液晶显示面板,即液晶显示面板100中未设置色阻,这样一方面可以提高三维显示装置的光透过率,另一方面不会存在由于色阻的设置位置而限制三维显示装置实现三维显示时方向的问题,即在屏幕旋转90度后依旧可以实现三维显示。
具体地,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,在电致发光显示面板200中的各发光区域(第一区域201)与液晶显示面板100中对应的各第一亚像素101区域的之间的位置关系可以有多种实施方式。
一种可能的实现方式为:如图6所示,每个第一区域201(发光区域)的中心位置(图6中圆圈表示)与对应的行相邻的至少两个第一亚像素101的中心连线中心位置重合。在图6中以每个第一区域201对应两个行相邻的第一亚像素101为例进行说明,其中,第一亚像素r1和r2对应于发光区域R,第一亚像素g1和g2对应于发光区域G,第一亚像素b1和b2对应于发光区域B,第一亚像素x1和x2对应于发光区域X。在此种实现方式下,观看者位于屏幕的中央法线处即可看到三维图像,但是,将屏幕旋转90度后无法实现三维显示,因此,此种方式只能实现一个方向(横屏或竖屏)的三维显示。
另一种可能的实现方式为:如图7和图8所示,每个第一区域201的中心位置与对应的行相邻的至少两个第一亚像素101中的其中一个第一亚像素101的中心位置重合。在图7和图8中以每个第一区域201对应两个行相邻的第一亚像素101为例进行说明,其中,第一亚像素r1和r2对应于发光区域R,第一亚像素g1和g2对应于发光区域G,第一亚像素b1和b2对应于发光区域B,第一亚像素x1和x2对应于发光区域X;图7是以每个第一区域201与左侧的第一亚像素101重合为例进行说明,图8是图7旋转90度后的示意图,可以看出,在屏幕旋转90度后将每个第一区域201对应的第一亚像素101进行变换后,依然可以实现三维显示,因此,此种方式可以实现两个方向(横屏和竖屏)的三维显示。但此种方式需要观看者变换观看视角,即与屏幕的中央法线成一个左视角(图7)或右视角(图8)才能观看到三维图像。
进一步地,在此种实现方式下,各第一区域201的形状优选为正方形、菱形或圆形;各第一亚像素101的长宽比优选为1:1。这样设置的优点为在屏幕发生旋转后人眼的观看距离可以保持不变,并且画面的亮度相对均一,三维观看效果不会由于屏幕的旋转而发生较大的差异,利于保证观看效果。当然,在具体实施时,各第一区域201的形状也可以为其他形状,在此不作赘述。
进一步地,本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,如图3a和图3b所示,液晶显示面板100中的各第一亚像素的排列方式可以根据电致发光显示面板中各第一区域的位置进行变换。当电致发光显示面板如图2a所示时,在液晶显示面板中相邻两行第一亚像素可以对齐排列,也可以在列方向错开n个第一亚像素,图3a示出了各第一亚像素对齐排列的情况,图6示出了各第一亚像在列方向错开一个第一亚像素的情况。当电致发光显示面板如图2b所示时,在液晶显示面板中相邻两列第一亚像素可以对齐排列,也可以在行方向错开n个第一亚像素,图3b示出了各第一亚像素对齐排列的情况。
进一步地,在本发明实施例提供的上述三维显示装置中,在二维显示模式下,电致发光显示面板200中的各第二区域202可以为黑色区域,也可以为发光区域。
具体地,当电致发光显示面板200中的各第二区域202在二维显示模式和三维显示模式均为黑色区域时,电致发光显示面板200中的各第一区域201和第二区域202具体可以采用第二亚像素实现,在第二区域202处的第二像素处于不发光状态;或者,各第一区域201采用第二亚像素实现,各第二区域202采用设置于各第二亚像素之间黑矩阵图形实现,即第二区域202为各第二亚像素之间被黑矩阵覆盖的区域。
具体地,当电致发光显示面板200中的各第二区域202在二维显示模式需要变为发光区域时,在液晶显示面板中未设置色阻时,第二区域202的发光颜色为与任一侧行相邻的第一区域201发光颜色相同的发光区域,例如第二区域202可以与左侧相邻的第一区域201发光颜色相同。此时,各第一区域201和各第二区域202具体可以采用第二亚像素实现。当需要第二区域202在三维显示模式下变为黑色区域时,控制第二区域202处的第二亚像素处于不发光状态。
基于同一发明构思,本发明实施例还提供了一种上述三维显示装置的驱动方法,包括:
在三维显示模式下,控制位于液晶显示面板下方的电致发光显示面板中的各第一区域进行发光显示;并控制液晶显示面板的对应同一第一区域的各第一亚像素中,用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各第一亚像素显示不同的灰阶信息。
进一步地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,为了实现二维显示,还可以包括:在二维显示模式下,控制液晶显示面板中对应同一第一区域的各第一亚像素显示相同的灰阶信息。
进一步地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,当各第一区域和各第二区域均为第二亚像素时,驱动方法还可以包括:在二维显示模式下,控制电致发光显示面板中各第二区域进行与任一侧行相邻的第一区域相同的发光显示。
进一步地,在本发明实施例提供的上述驱动方法中,在三维显示装置中,每个第一区域的中心位置与对应的行相邻的至少两个第一亚像素中的其中一个第一亚像素的中心位置重合;该驱动方法,还包括:
在三维显示模式下,当确定三维显示装置的屏幕发生旋转时,重新确定各第一区域与各第一亚像素的对应关系。

Claims (15)

1.一种三维显示装置,其特征在于,包括:液晶显示面板,以及设置在所述液晶显示面板下方的电致发光显示面板;其中,
所述电致发光显示面板具有紧密排列且在行方向和列方向均交替排布的多个第一区域和第二区域;在三维显示模式下,各所述第一区域为发光区域,各所述第二区域为黑色区域,且所述发光区域以分别位于两行或两列的RGBX为一像素重复排列;
所述液晶显示面板具有呈阵列排布的多个第一亚像素;行相邻的每至少两个所述第一亚像素对应一个所述第一区域;在三维显示模式下,对应同一所述第一区域的各所述第一亚像素中,用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各所述第一亚像素显示的灰阶互不相同。
2.如权利要求1所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,在二维显示模式下,对应同一所述第一区域的各所述第一亚像素显示的灰阶均相同。
3.如权利要求1所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,所述液晶显示面板为黑白液晶显示面板。
4.如权利要求1所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,所述X为R、B、G、Y或W。
5.如权利要求1所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,在二维显示模式下,所述电致发光显示面板中的各所述第二区域为黑色区域。
6.如权利要求5所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,各所述第一区域和各所述第二区域为第二亚像素;或,各所述第一区域为第二亚像素,各所述第二区域为各所述第二亚像素之间被黑矩阵覆盖的区域。
7.如权利要求1所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,在二维显示模式下,所述电致发光显示面板中的各所述第二区域为与任一侧行相邻的所述第一区域发光颜色相同的发光区域。
8.如权利要求7所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,各所述第一区域和各所述第二区域为第二亚像素。
9.如权利要求1-8任一项所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,每个所述第一区域的中心位置与对应的行相邻的至少两个所述第一亚像素的中心连线的中心位置重合。
10.如权利要求1-8任一项所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,每个所述第一区域的中心位置与对应的行相邻的至少两个所述第一亚像素中的其中一个所述第一亚像素的中心位置重合。
11.如权利要求10所述的三维显示装置,其特征在于,各所述第一区域的形状为正方形、菱形或圆形;各所述第一亚像素的长宽比为1:1。
12.一种如权利要求1-11任一项所述的三维显示装置的驱动方法,其特征在于,包括:
在三维显示模式下,控制位于液晶显示面板下方的电致发光显示面板中的各第一区域进行发光显示;并控制所述液晶显示面板的对应同一所述第一区域的各第一亚像素中,用于提供不同视点图像的灰阶信息的各所述第一亚像素显示不同的灰阶信息。
13.如权利要求12所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,还包括:在二维显示模式下,控制所述液晶显示面板中对应同一所述第一区域的各所述第一亚像素显示相同的灰阶信息。
