一般的显示面板中,通常会设置有一静电放电环来保护显示面板的电路。如图1所示,是公知显示面板结构示意图。此显示面板1包含一显示电路3以及一静电放电环4。一并参照图2所示,是公知显示面板边界的局部放大示意图,亦即图1的圆圈10的局部放大图,该静电放电环4位在该显示面板1的边界11以及该显示电路3的金属层30间以包围该显示电路3,进而避免静电损害该显示电路3而导致显示面板1的损坏。然而,当静电能量过大时,由于该静电放电环4的金属材料的低电阻值可能无法阻挡静电能量的伤害。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,以避免静电能量的的损害,据以提升静电放电保护的效果。
为实现上述目的,本发明提供的显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,包括:一基板;一显示电路,设置该基板上,其中该显示电路包含一半导体层以及一金属层;一第一静电放电环,设置于该基板上并与该金属层位于同一层且包围该显示电路;以及一第二静电放电环,设置于该基板上并与该半导体层位于同一层且包围该第一静电放电环。
由此,当静电从显示面板的边缘进入内部时,本发明用于显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,可通过该第二静电放电环具有的高电阻值,吸收大部分的静电能量,接着再通过该第一静电放电环吸收剩余的静电能量,以达到保护显示电路的功效,进而避免显示面板的损坏。

具体实施方式
本发明提供了一种显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,以有效防止静电能量的穿越以及损害。
首先,请参照图3、4、及5(A),是本发明显示面板结构示意图、显示面板边界一第一实施例的局部放大示意图、以及显示面板边界的一第一剖面示意图。此显示面板2为一圆型结构的显示面板2,如图所示,此显示面板2的多重静电放电环装置包含:一基板8、一显示电路3、一第一静电放电环4、以及一第二静电放电环5。该显示电路3、该第一静电放电环4、以及该第二静电放电环5设置于该基板8上。
如图3所示,该显示电路3包含一金属层30,该第一静电放电环4包围该显示电路3并与该金属层30位于同一层,该第二静电放电环5包围该第一静电放电环4。如图4所示,是图3圆圈20的局部放大图,该第一静电放电环4与该显示电路3的该金属层30间具有一第一空间Ⅰ,该第一静电放电环4与该基板8的边缘21间具有一第二空间Ⅱ,该第二静电放电环5位于该第二空间Ⅱ中,同时,该第二静电放电环5的宽度51大于该第一静电放电环4的宽度41。在一实施例中,该第一静电放电环4与该第二静电放电环5耦接一连接模块6并且接地(未显示)以便释放静电能量。
另外,该第一静电放电环4为一金属材料具有一第一电阻值,该第二静电放电环5为一非金属材料具有一第二电阻值,该第一电阻值与该第二电阻值为不同,该第二电阻值大于该第一电阻值,该第二电阻值与该第一电阻值的比值为5至5x1010。在一实施例中,该第二静电放电环5可为一半导体材料。由于该第二静电放电环5具有高电阻值,因此可有效消耗大部分由外部进来的静电能量,接着再由该第一静电放电环4的低电阻值消耗剩余的静电能量,且同时可经由接地将静电能量导出,进而避免静电伤害该显示电路3而得以保护该显示面板2。
如图5(A)所示,该基板8分为一显示区81和一非显示区82,该非显示区82围绕该显示区81,该显示电路3位于该显示区81,该第一静电放电环4和该第二静电放电环5位于该非显示区82。该第一静电放电环4和该第二静电放电环5为不同层,且具有一第一绝缘层91以及第二绝缘层92位于该第一静电放电环4和该第二静电放电环5之间。该第一静电放电环4具有一第一侧边42,邻近该第二静电放电环5。而沿着该显示区81朝向该非显示区82的方向上,该第二静电放电环5具有一第二侧边52和一第三侧边53,该第二侧边52邻近该第一静电放电环4,该第三侧边53远离该第一静电放电环4且邻近该基板8的一边缘21。并且,该第二静电放电环5的宽度51小于或等于该第一侧边42和该基板8的该边缘21之间的距离。
该显示电路3还包含一半导体层32,该金属层30包含一第一金属层31以及一第二金属层33,其中该第一金属层31为一资料线,第二金属层33为一栅极线,并且该第一金属层通过一接触孔93与该半导体层32电性连接,该第二静电放电环5与该显示电路3的该半导体层32设置于该基板8上的同一层,其中该半导体层32的材料选自多晶硅材料、非晶硅材料或金属氧化物,该第一静电放电环4与该显示电路3的该第一金属层31设置于该基板8上的同一层。
图5(B)是图4显示面板边界的一第二剖面示意图。图5(B)与图5(A)相似,惟该第一静电放电环4与该显示电路3的该第二金属层33设置于该基板8上的同一层,且该第一绝缘层91位于该第一静电放电环4和该第二静电放电环5之间。
图5(C)是图4显示面板边界的一第三剖面示意图。图5(C)与图5(A)相似,惟该显示电路3的该半导体层32位于该显示电路3的该第一金属层31及第二金属层33之间,以及该第二静电放电环5与该显示电路3的该半导体层32设置于该基板8上的同一层,且该第二绝缘层92位于该第一静电放电环4和该第二静电放电环5之间。
图5(D)是图4显示面板边界的一第四剖面示意图。图5(D)与图5(A)相似,惟该显示电路3的该半导体层32位于该显示电路3的该第一金属层31及第二金属层33之间,该第二静电放电环5与该显示电路3的该半导体层32设置于该基板8上的同一层,以及该第一静电放电环4与该显示电路3的该第二金属层33设置于该基板8上的同一层,且该第一绝缘层91位于该第二静电放电环5与第一静电放电环4之间。
如图6所示,是本发明显示面板边界一第二实施例的局部放大示意图,其结构大致与第一实施例相当,惟差异仅在于该第二静电放电环5的该第二侧边52,贴近于该第一静电放电环4的该第一侧边42。
如图7所示,是本发明显示面板边界一第三实施例的局部放大示意图,其结构大致与第一实施例相当,惟差异仅在于该第二静电放电环5的该第三侧边53,贴近于该基板8的该边缘21。
请参照图8及9(A),是本发明显示面板边界一第四实施例的局部放大示意图以及显示面板边界的一第一剖面示意图,其结构大致与第一实施例相当,惟差异仅在于本发明显示面板2的多重静电放电环装置还包含一第三静电放电环7,其设置于该基板8上并与该第一金属层31位于同一层且环绕该第一静电放电环4,该第三静电放电环7为一金属材料具有一第三电阻率,不同于该第一和第二电阻率,该第三静电放电环7与该第二静电放电环5重迭,且具有一第一绝缘层91以及第二绝缘层92位于该第二静电放电环5与该第一静电放电环4或第三静电放电环7之间。沿着该显示区81朝向该非显示区82的方向上,该第三静电放电环7具有一第四侧边71和一第五侧边72,该第四侧边71邻近该第一静电放电环4。在一实施例中,相似于图6的该第二静电放电环5,该第三静电放电环7的第四侧边71,贴近于该第一静电放电环4的第一侧边42。在另一实施例中,相似于图7的该第二静电放电环5,该第三静电放电环4的第五侧边72,贴近于该基板8的该边缘21。
图9(B)是图8显示面板边界的一第二剖面示意图。图9(B)与图9(A)相似,惟该第一静电放电环4、该第三静电放电环7与该显示电路3的该第二金属层33设置于该基板8上的同一层,且该第一绝缘层91位于该第二静电放电环5与第一静电放电环4或第三静电放电环7之间。
图9(C)是图8显示面板边界的一第三剖面示意图。图9(C)与图9(A)相似,惟该显示电路3的该半导体层32位于该显示电路3的该第一金属层31及第二金属层33之间,以及该第二静电放电环5与该显示电路3的该半导体层32设置于该基板8上的同一层,且该第二绝缘层92位于该第二静电放电环5与第一静电放电环4或第三静电放电环7之间。
图9(D)是图8显示面板边界的一第四剖面示意图。图9(D)与图9(A)相似,惟该显示电路3的该半导体层32位于该显示电路3的该第一金属层31及第二金属层33之间,该第二静电放电环5与该显示电路3的该半导体层32设置于该基板8上的同一层,以及该第一静电放电环4、该第三静电放电环7与该显示电路3的该第二金属层33设置于该基板8上的同一层,且该第一绝缘层91位于该第二静电放电环5与第一静电放电环4或第三静电放电环7之间。
由上述的说明可知,本发明由在显示面板上设置多重静电放电环,且其中外圈的静电放电环较内圈的静电放电环具有较高的电阻值,据此外圈的静电放电环可有效消耗大部分由外部进来的静电能量,接着再由内圈的静电放电环消耗剩余的静电能量,因此可有效避免静电伤害该显示面板的电路。
上述实施例仅为了方便说明而举例而已,本发明所主张的权利范围自应以申请的权利要求范围所述为准,而非仅限于上述实施例。

Claims (20)

1.一种显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,包括:
一基板;
一显示电路,设置于该基板上,其中该显示电路包含一半导体层以及一金属层;
一第一静电放电环,设置于该基板上并与该金属层位于同一层且包围该显示电路;以及
一第二静电放电环,设置于该基板上并与该半导体层位于同一层且包围该第一静电放电环。
2.如权利要求1所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第一静电放电环电性耦接该第二静电放电环且接地。
3.如权利要求1所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第一静电放电环具有一第一电阻值,该第二静电放电环具有一第二电阻值,该第一电阻值与该第二电阻值为不同。
4.如权利要求3所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第二电阻值大于该第一电阻值。
5.如权利要求4所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第二电阻值与该第一电阻值的比值为5至5x1010
6.如权利要求1所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第二静电放电环的宽度大于该第一静电放电环的宽度。
7.如权利要求1所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第一静电放电环为一金属材料。
8.如权利要求1所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第二静电放电环为一非金属材料。
9.如权利要求8所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第二静电放电环为一半导体材料。
10.如权利要求1所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该基板分为一显示区和一非显示区,该非显示区围绕该显示区,该显示电路位于该显示区,且该第一静电放电环和该第二静电放电环位于该非显示区。
11.如权利要求10所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第一静电放电环和该第二静电放电环为不同层,该第一静电放电环具有一第一侧边,邻近该第二静电放电环,沿着该显示区朝向该非显示区的方向上,该第二静电放电环具有一第二侧边和一第三侧边,该第二侧边邻近该第一静电放电环,该第三侧边远离该第一静电放电环且邻近该基板的一边缘。
12.如权利要求11所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第二静电放电环的该第二侧边,贴近于该第一静电放电环的该第一侧边。
13.如权利要求11所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第二静电放电环的该第三侧边,贴近于该基板的该边缘。
14.如权利要求11所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第二静电放电环的宽度小于或等于该第一侧边和该基板该边缘之间的距离。
15.如权利要求1所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,包含一第三静电放电环,设置于该基板上并与该金属层位于同一层且环绕该第一静电放电环。
16.如权利要求15所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第三静电放电环具有一第三电阻率,不同于该第一和第二电阻率,该第三静电放电环与该第二静电放电环重迭。
17.如权利要求15所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第三静电放电环为一金属材料。
18.如权利要求15所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,沿着该显示区朝向该非显示区的方向上,该第三静电放电环具有一第四侧边和一第五侧边,该第四侧边邻近该第一静电放电环。
19.如权利要求18所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第三静电放电环的第四侧边,贴近于该第一静电放电环的第一侧边。
20.如权利要求18所述显示面板的多重静电放电环装置,其中,该第三静电放电环的第五侧边,贴近于该基板的该边缘。
