背景技术
作为这种显示装置,人们知道有比如,在下述的专利文献1中记载的类型。
该显示装置包括由液晶面板形成的显示机构;控制机构,该控制机构在该显示机构中显示规定的显示信息,并且在规定的时刻,对显示信息进行更新,由微型计算机构成;照明机构,该照明机构由背光构成,对显示机构进行照明;调光机构,其改变该照明机构的亮度,控制机构根据来自调光机构的输入信息,改变照明机构的亮度。

发明内容
但是,用于在显示机构中显示规定的显示信息的绘图处理花费某种程度的处理时间,其结果是,具有显示信息的更新周期(时刻)要求比如,100ms的情况,在象这样更新周期慢的显示装置中,如果对应于周围的亮度对调光机构进行操作,则发生亮度变化先发生,使用者具有不适感的问题。另外,作为解决该问题的方式,人们考虑采用性能高的微型计算机,但是,具有无法避免成本上升的问题。
本发明是针对这一点而提出的,本发明的目的在于提供一种在避免成本上升的同时,可消除使用者的不适感的显示装置。
为了实现上述目的,本发明涉及一种显示装置,其包括显示机构;控制机构,该控制机构在该显示机构中,显示规定的显示信息,并且在规定的时刻,对上述显示信息进行更新;照明机构,该照明机构对上述显示机构或设置于其周围的另外的显示机构进行照明;调光机构,其改变该照明机构的亮度,其特征在于上述控制机构根据来自上述调光机构的输入信息,选定上述照明机构的亮度,对应于对上述显示信息进行更新的上述时刻,改变上述照明机构的亮度。
另外,本发明的特征在于上述控制机构进行:确定上述调光机构的调光等级的第1处理;根据通过该第1处理确定的上述调光等级,使控制上述照明机构的亮度用的输出与从上述第1处理起经过规定时间后的上述时刻一致的第2处理。
按照本发明,可实现最初的目的,可提供在避免成本上升的同时,可消除使用者的不适感的显示装置。

在图1中,本实施方式的显示装置比如,组装于装载于汽车上的计量装置中,显示车辆信息,该车辆信息为警报或通报行驶距离、车速、导航、交通信息等的行驶信息、车辆的各部分的状态,包括显示机构1、照明机构2、控制机构3、与调光机构4。

控制机构3可采用比如,微型计算机,通过CAN(ControllerArea Network)通信缆线、图中未示出的布线,与车辆的各种设备等连接,接收上述行驶信息、上述车辆信息(在下面统称为“显示信息”)的输入信息,对应于这些输入信息,将上述显示信息显示于显示机构1中,并且在规定时刻(更新周期),对上述显示信息进行更新。另外,控制机构3接收来自调光机构的调光信息的调光信号,控制照明机构2的亮度。
另外,控制机构3包括CPU,其用于根据各种信息进行运算处理;存储部,其由实现暂时保持该CPU的运算处理结果等的可读出和改写的RAM、保存控制程序、控制数据的ROM构成;输入输出接口,其通过总线连接,以便获取上述各种信息、控制信号、时钟信号、闩锁信号等。

具体来说,在时刻t1,调光机构4的亮度设定在调光等级“1~10”(数字表示亮度)中的调光等级“7”。
控制机构3根据时刻t1的上述调光信号和上述输入信号,获得而保存作为调光等级的“7”,作为上述显示信息的时刻t1时的显示数据的亮度判断·显示用数据(第1中间数据)(第1处理)。象这样获得而保存的上述亮度判断·显示用数据作为显示输出用数据(第2中间数据),用于下一时刻t2的显示输出处理。于是,时刻t1的上述显示输出用数据构成时刻t1的一周期前的时刻t0的上述亮度判断·显示用数据。

接着,在时刻t3,处于调光等级“10”的调光机构4的亮度设定在时刻t4变为调光等级“8”,但是,对应于该设定变更,照明机构2的亮度实际改变(调光机构4的亮度设定由照明机构2反映)为距时刻t4经过一周期(规定时间)后的时刻t5的更新时刻。
如上所述,在本实施方式中,在具有显示机构1;在该显示机构1中显示规定的显示信息,并且在规定的更新周期(时刻),更新上述显示信息的控制机构3;对显示机构1进行照明的照明机构2;改变该照明机构2的亮度的调光机构4的显示装置中,控制机构3根据来自调光机构4的输入信息,选定照明机构2的亮度,对应于更新上述显示信息的显示更新周期,改变照明机构2的亮度,由此,可在避免成本上升的同时,消除使用者的不适感。
即,通过对应于对上述显示信息进行更新的显示更新周期,改变照明机构2的亮度,可使显示更新的时刻,与照明机构2的亮度改变的时刻一致,由此,即使在不采用绘图处理性能高的高成本的控制机构的情况下,仍可相对显示更新的时刻,通过照明机构2的亮度变化在先发生的方式消除对使用者的不适感的问题。
另外,在本实施方式中,控制机构3进行对应于显示更新周期(显示更新时刻),确定调光机构4的调光等级的第1处理;根据通过第1处理确定的上述调光等级,使控制照明机构2的亮度用的PWM信号输出与从上述第1处理,经过一周期后(经过规定时间后)的时刻一致的第2处理,由此,可容易制作程序,实现成本的降低。
此外,在本实施方式中,调光机构4采用旋转编码器、电位器,但是,如果调光机构4为改变照明机构2的亮度的触发器的类型,则其是任意的,其也可为伴随上下方向开关、前照灯的开关的运动,可改变照明机构2的亮度的光开关。
还有,在本实施方式中,照明机构2对显示机构1进行照明,但是,其也可为对设置于该显示机构1的周围的任意的另外的显示机构(比如,计量装置)进行照明。在此场合,由于显示机构1的显示更新周期(时刻),与另外的显示机构的亮度变更时刻一致,故可获得与本实施方式相同的优点。

本发明可用于适用于比如,各种车辆的显示装置。

Claims (2)

1.一种显示装置,其包括:
显示机构;
控制机构,该控制机构在该显示机构中显示规定的显示信息,并且在规定的时刻,对上述显示信息进行更新;
照明机构,该照明机构对上述显示机构或设置于其周围的另外的显示机构进行照明;
调光机构,其改变该照明机构的亮度,其特征在于:
上述控制机构根据来自上述调光机构的输入信息,选定上述照明机构的亮度,对应于对上述显示信息进行更新的上述时刻,改变上述照明机构的亮度。
2.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其特征在于上述控制机构进行:确定上述调光机构的调光等级的第1处理;根据通过该第1处理确定的上述调光等级,使控制上述照明机构的亮度用的输出与从上述第1处理起经过规定时间后的上述时刻一致的第2处理。
