Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种金属箔片(铌合金箔片)以及该金属箔片的生产方法,所述的金属箔片可以用作氢精制单元用的氢渗透膜,所述的氢精制单元用于燃料电池和用于与半导体有关的领域。
背景技术
近年来,作为对付全球变暖的措施,已经需要实际应用氢精制单元和利用氢精制单元的燃料电池,以及其散布。这种氢精制单元具有第一和第二室,其中第一室通过膜与第二室分开。因此,当包含氢的气体流入第一室时,膜产生作用,以在第二室收集氢富有的气体,同时在第一室保留包括杂质(例如CO和CO2)的气体这种方式基本上能够渗透氢。为此,在氢精制单元的膜中需要所谓的氢渗透性。
传统地,已经利用具有氢吸收性能的钯合金箔片(例如Pd-Ag箔片)作为这种膜。虽然钯合金箔片具有优异的氢渗透性,但是钯相当昂贵,需要由比钯合金箔片更便宜的材料制成的备选产品。
于是,已经研究钒合金和铌合金作为钯合金的备选材料(参见,例如,日本公开专利出版物H1(1989)-262,924;日本公开专利出版物H4(1992)-29,728;日本公开专利出版物H11(1999)-276,865;和日本公开专利出版物2000-159,503)。
但是,在上述专利文件中描述的所有合金中缺乏轧制性能,为了根据轧制形成方法制造这种合金箔片,需要特定的轧制条件和重复退火加工,提高了生产成本。此外,当在制造箔片时重复退火时,在有些情况下,箔片的元素以分布状态离析。此外,为了防止合金的氧化,必须在惰性气体气氛中进行这种工作,为了在惰性气体气氛中进行轧制过程和退火过程,需要大尺寸单元。此外,通过轧制形成的钒合金箔片和铌合金箔片具有低的延展性和缺乏可加工性和耐久性。
这里,对于铌合金箔片,为了提高耐氢脆性,加入Ta、Co、Mo、Ni等是已知的(参见,例如日本公开专利出版物2000-159,503),但是在Ni的情况下产生了问题,例如,在根据冷轧制方法生产铌合金箔片时,当Ni与铌的比率超过10重量%至20重量%时,显著降低了氢渗透性。
因此,本发明的一个目的是提供一种铌合金箔片以及其生产方法,该铌合金箔片具有优异的耐氢脆性、耐氢渗透性和可加工性,其中可以防止箔片中的元素以分布状态离析,并且该铌合金箔片可以用作氢精制单元用的膜。
为了达到上述目的,本发明人重复地进行了研究,结果发现,上述目的可以通过提供一种氢分离膜来实现,所述的氢分离膜的主要元素是非Pd元素,并且由具有特定合金组成的具有无定形晶体结构(amorphous crystalstructure)的铌合金制成的。
下面更详细地描述本发明。
发明概述
根据本发明的氢分离膜由无定形铌合金制成,无定形铌合金是由以下元素形成的:5至65原子%作为第一添加元素的选自Ni、Co和Mo中的至少一种或多种和0.1至60原子%作为第二添加元素的选自V、Ti、Zr、Ta和Hf中的至少一种或多种,以及剩余部分作为不可缺少组分元素的Nb。这种铌合金具有优异的耐氢脆性、耐氢渗透性,并且可以用作氢精制单元的膜。

实施本发明的最佳方式
根据本发明,在铌合金中混和的作为第一添加元素的Ni、Co和Mo的总量为5至65原子%,优选为10至50原子%,更优选为20至40原子%,在这些范围内,包括Ni、Co和Mo的铌合金显示优异的耐氢脆性。根据本发明,在第一添加元素是Ni的情况下,优选它的组成比率为20至40原子%。
此外,根据本发明,在铌合金中混和的作为第二添加元素的V、Ti、Zr、Ta和Hf总量为0.1至60原子%,优选为10至50原子%,更优选为20至40原子%。在上述范围内,可以向铌合金中加入这些添加元素中的至少一种,由此,可以提高得到的铌合金箔片的氢渗透性。
此外,根据本发明,在铌合金中可以混和作为第三添加元素的Al和/或Cu,可以通过加入这样的元素进一步改善耐氢脆性,优选这种金属的组成比率为0.01至20原子%,更优选为0.1重量%至5重量%。
除了上述的添加元素外,在根据本发明的氢分离膜中包括作为不可缺少组分元素的Nb,优选合金中的Nb组成比率为15至70原子%,更优选为25至50原子%。
此外,根据本发明,可以将Nb-Ni-Zr基合金、Nb-Ni-Zr-Al基合金、Nb-Ni-Ti-Zr基合金、Nb-Ni-Ti-Zr-Co基合金、Nb-Ni-Ti-Zr-Co-Cu基合金、Nb-Co-Zr基合金等列举为优选的Nb合金组合物,但是本发明不限于它们。
根据本发明,可以适当选择Nb∶Ni的优选比率(原子百分比),优选为1∶0.8至1.2,更优选为约1∶1。
接着,描述根据本发明的氢分离膜的生产方法。根据本发明的生产方法,首先,根据上述的组成比率制备作为不可缺少组分元素的Nb、第一添加元素、第二添加元素和如果需要,第三添加元素,在惰性气体中将由这些组分金属制成的金属混合物加热到不低于熔点的温度,以熔化,使用液体淬火方法将该熔体加工成为膜形状(箔片形状)。同时,加工熔体成为箔片形状用的优选方法如下:利用具有通过底部的狭缝的坩锅来制备由上述组合物制成的铌合金的熔体,同时旋转这样放置的由柱形体形成的滚筒,以便中心轴与狭缝平行,熔体从狭缝喷射到上述滚筒的表面,滚筒以这种方式旋转,以便从狭缝喷射的熔体瞬间冷却,然后,将在滚筒的表面上凝固铌合金连续地与滚筒表面剥离,因此,得到箔片。
图1所示为根据本发明的氢分离膜的生产中优选使用的单元的一个具体实例;但是,这种单元是概念性地显示,且不受此限制。
在图1所示的单元(合金箔片生产单元)中的坩锅1由凹槽和盖子形成,可以将其中密封。不特别限制这种坩锅1的材料,只要坩锅1是由可以耐高温的材料形成的,在所述的高温下,放置在凹槽内的铌合金被熔化,并且它与这种熔体不进行化学反应即可。可以列举例如氮化硼基陶瓷作为坩锅1用的适当材料。
此外,在这种坩锅1的周围,提供加热坩锅中的加热装置。对加热装置没有特别限制,只要它可以加热坩锅的内部达到不低于铌合金熔点的温度即可。图1所示的单元配备有由高频箔片制成的高频感应加热器4作为加热装置。高频感应加热器4可以将在坩锅中的熔体通过对流循环混和,因此可以在保持温度分布均匀的条件下快速熔化铌合金。这里,在坩锅中放置热电偶的情况下,可以证实坩锅中的铌合金熔体的温度。
根据本发明,坩锅1配备有气体入口7。因此,当在坩锅中放置的铌合金完全熔化时,可以通过入口7注入气体,以便可对坩锅内施加压力。
从此入口7注入的气体是惰性的,因此,防止了熔化的铌合金氧化。例如可以列举氮、氦、氩和氢作为特别适当的惰性气体,在这些当中,特别优选氩气。
这里,虽然不特别限制向坩锅注入了气体时坩锅内的压力,但是优选坩锅内的压力为0.01MPa至0.1MPa。
根据本发明,在坩锅的底部提供狭缝3。狭缝3可以使在坩锅中的熔体向下面描述的正在旋转的滚筒2的表面5喷射。当在坩锅中放置的铌合金没有完全熔化时,狭缝通常关闭。不特别限制关闭此狭缝用的装置。这里,根据本发明,如图1所示,不需要在以喷嘴形状突出于坩锅底部的部分提供狭缝。
虽然对狭缝3的宽度没有特别限制,但是优选狭缝的宽度为0.1mm至0.6mm,更优选它为0.2mm至0.5mm,最优选它为0.3mm至0.4mm。作为这样的结果,可以得到具有需要厚度的箔片。同时,也不特别限制狭缝3的长度,根据滚筒的尺寸,可以适当改变狭缝的设计长度。
如图1所示,根据本发明,在狭缝下面放置作为柱形体的滚筒2。放置此滚筒2,以便中心轴8与坩锅的狭缝3平行,安装该滚筒,以便在中心围绕该中心轴8旋转。因此,从狭缝3喷射出的熔体11向正在旋转的滚筒的表面5喷射。即,从狭缝中喷射出的熔体在滚筒表面上的第一点9处与滚筒表面接触,并且瞬间冷却,以便在滚筒表面上形成箔片层。滚筒以恒定的旋转速度旋转,箔片层在第二点10处连续剥离,因此,得到箔片6。在室中(未显示)收集已经剥离的箔片。
这里,根据本发明,不特别限制狭缝3和滚筒2之间的相对位置关系,只要狭缝3和滚筒的中心轴相互平行并且使滚筒的表面位于来自狭缝的喷射方向即可。
这里,如图1所示,本发明不限于利用由一个滚筒2(单滚筒形单元)形成的单元的情况,但是可以使用如图2所示的具有两个滚筒5′和5″(双滚筒形单元)的单元。
在如图2中所示的单元情况下,放置第一滚筒2′以便与第二滚筒2″平行,第一滚筒2′和第二滚筒2″在向下的方向向内旋转。因此,当在坩锅中的熔体从狭缝3向第一滚筒和第二滚筒之间的空间喷射时,这些熔体与第一滚筒2′和第二滚筒2″中的任一个或两个接触,以便快速冷却,由此,在滚筒的表面5′和5″上形成箔片层。然后,将在滚筒表面上形成的箔片层连续剥离,由此得到箔片。
根据本发明,需要滚筒2、2′和2″快速冷却从狭缝3喷射出的熔体,因此,需要它们由具有高热传导材料例如铜形成。这里,可以在滚筒中产生通过冷却液体例如水通过的孔。
此外,根据本发明,需要滚筒的表面5是连续的。此外,滚筒表面足够光滑,以便可以容易剥离在滚筒表面上已经形成的箔片层。
根据本发明,虽然不特别限制滚筒2的旋转速度,但是优选滚筒2旋转,以便滚筒表面5的转动速度为450m/分钟至3000m/分钟。这样的结果是,可以快速冷却从狭缝喷射出的熔体,并且可以制造具有无定形晶体结构的优异箔片。
根据本发明,可以调节喷射熔体的量、狭缝的宽度、滚筒的旋转速度等,由此,可以自由改变得到的铌合金箔片的厚度。根据本发明,虽然不特别限制得到的铌合金箔片的厚度,但是,在实施例中它是5μm至1000μm。具体而言,在根据本发明得到的铌合金箔片的厚度为5μm至40μm的情况下,形成这种箔片的铌合金成为无定形的。无定形铌合金的箔片可以特别用作氢精制单元的膜。
根据本发明,将包括坩锅和滚筒的单元放置在惰性气体例如氩中,由此,可以防止得到的铌合金箔片氧化。
实施例
利用具有图1图示的结构的单滚筒型合金箔片生产单元来制造铌合金箔片。
坩锅1是由氮化硼基陶瓷制成的,且具有的狭缝的宽度为0.4mm和长度为30mm。滚筒2是由铜制成的,且具有的尺寸:直径为300mm和长度为80mm。滚筒的表面5与狭缝3的距离为0.5mm。用水冷却滚筒。滚筒的旋转数设定为1500rpm。在坩锅中放置50Nb-40 Ni-10 Zr(原子%)的铌合金。将坩锅的内部加热至1750℃,完全熔化铌合金。此后,向坩锅中注入氩气,以便熔体从狭缝中喷射出,以在滚筒表面上形成箔片层,该箔片层连续与滚筒剥离,以便得到厚度为0.03mm的铌合金箔片(实施例1)。坩锅内的压力为0.05MPa。
此外,以相同的方式,制造根据本发明的实施例2至19的合金箔片,以便得到下表1所示的合金组合物。
同时,至于比较例,根据比较例1至8制造合金箔片,以便得到下表2所示的合金组合物。

因此,用下面的测量方法,对根据如上述得到的实施例1至19的合金箔片和比较例1至8的合金箔片进行关于下面评估项目的性能评估。
表面状态;用显微镜观察,且评估到的表面的光滑度。
针孔的存在;制备液体染料,其中在溶剂中溶解油溶性红色染料,以便浓度为1g/L,同时在充分通风的通风良好的位置中的吸墨水纸上放置样品,用刷子向样品上涂布液体染料。在时间过去5分钟后去除样品,证实在吸墨水纸上是否形成染色的点。
在箔片中的元素分布中离析的存在;通过EPMA(电子显微镜分析),来检查箔片中的元素分布中离析的存在。
晶体结构;根据x射线衍射方法分析晶体结构。
氢渗透性能;将根据实施例7和8以及比较例1和5的相应合金箔片固定在气体渗透测量元件上,并且加热到400℃,使氢气在其一侧流动,因此,在另一侧测量通过箔片渗透的氢气的流量。
结果,发现根据上述实施例1至19得到的所有合金箔片具有均匀的厚度,并且具有优异的表面状态,其中证实没有针孔。此外,在合金箔片中的元素分布没有离析,并且其晶体结构是无定形的,提供优异的氢渗透性和耐氢脆性,因此,证实箔片可以用作氢精制单元的膜。
相反,根据比较例1至8的合金箔片如下:在比较例6和8的情况下,一能生产无定形箔片带,因此,不能得到合金箔片;在比较例4和7的情况下,虽然得到箔片,但是它们不是无定形的;在比较例1、2、3和5的情况下,虽然得到优异的无定形箔片带,但是渗透通过的氢量非常低(参见图3)。
此外,如图3所示,从根据实施例7和8以及根据比较例1和5的合金箔片的氢渗透性能的曲线图发现,根据本发明的氢渗透膜具显著优于根据比较例1和5的合金箔片的性能,使得在400℃的测量温度下,分别地,Nb28Ni42Zr30(实施例7)具有的氢渗透系数高达1.3×10-8[mol·m-1·sec-1·Pa-1/2],和Nb32Ni48Zr20(实施例8)具有的氢渗透系数高达6.4×10-9[mol·m-1·sec-1·Pa-1/2]。
工业适用性
根据本发明具有无定形晶体结构的氢渗透膜不仅具有高效率的氢渗透性能,而且在氢所气氛中具有足够的刚性和稳定性,因此,可以特别用作氢精制单元的氢渗透膜,所述氢渗透膜用于燃料电池并且用在半导体有关的领域。
此外,根据本发明的生产方法,可以相对容易制造具有根据传统轧制方法难以加工的组成的铌合金箔片,由此,可以得到不引起氢渗透性降低以及具有优异的耐脆性的氢精制单元用的氢渗透膜,即使在根据传统轧制方法中制备具有相同组在的膜的情况下,它具有引起氢渗透性降低的这样的组成(例如,其中Ni与Nb的比率超过20重量%的组成)也是如此。
Claims (2)
1.一种氢分离膜,由具有无定形晶体结构的铌合金制成,其中铌合金是由以下元素制成的:5至65原子%作为第一添加元素的选自Ni、Co和Mo中的至少一种或多种,0.1至60原子%作为第二添加元素的选自V、Ti、Zr、Ta和Hf中的至少一种或多种,0.01至20原子%作为第三添加元素的Al和/或Cu,以及剩余部分的作为不可缺少组分元素的Nb。
2.一种由无定形铌合金制成的氢分离膜的生产方法,其特征在于,在惰性气体中,将通过混和以下元素得到的金属混合物加热至不低于熔点的温度使其熔化,使用液体淬火方法加工成为薄膜形状:5至65原子%作为第一添加元素的选自Ni、Co和Mo中的至少一种或多种,0.1至60原子%作为第二添加元素的选自V、Ti、Zr、Ta和Hf中的至少一种或多种,0.01至20原子%作为第三添加元素的Al和/或Cu,以及剩余部分的作为不可缺少组分元素的Nb。
