Abstract

Se divulga una válvula cardíaca protésica que incluye un armazón, una estructura de velos y un miembro de sellado dispuesto alrededor de una superficie exterior del armazón. Como un ejemplo, el miembro de sellado incluye una capa interior y una capa exterior afelpada que comprende una superficie exterior afelpada. La capa interior está dispuesta contra la superficie exterior del armazón y la capa exterior está dispuesta contra la capa interior y unida a ella. La capa interior se pliega en los extremos de entrada y salida, en una dirección axial relativa a un eje longitudinal central del armazón, para superponer los extremos respectivos de la capa exterior y formar pliegues cónicos en los extremos opuestos del miembro de sellado, cada pliegue cónico incluyendo una primera porción más estrecha donde la capa interior se pliega y se pone en contacto consigo misma y una segunda porción más ancha donde la capa interior se superpone a una superficie exterior de una porción de extremo de la capa exterior.
