Abstract

Un método ejemplar incluye inferir, para un bloque de transformada actual de un bloque de video actual, un tipo de transformada de entre una pluralidad de tipos de transformada que incluye una o más transformadas de coseno discretas (DCTs) y una o más transformadas de seno discretas (DSTs), en donde la inferencia del tipo de transformada comprende: determinar un tamaño del bloque de transformada actual; determinar si el bloque de video actual es dividido utilizando división intra-subbloque (ISP); y en respuesta a determinar que el tamaño del bloque de transformada actual es menor que un umbral y que el bloque de video actual es dividido utilizando ISP, seleccionar una DST particular de una o más DSTs como el tipo de transformada seleccionado; transformar, utilizando el tipo de transformada seleccionado, el bloque de transformada actual para obtener un bloque de datos residuales reconstruidos para el bloque de video; y reconstruir, con base en los datos residuales reconstruidos para el bloque de video, el bloque de video.
