Abstract
Un método para el monitoreo de parásitos externos de peces en la acuicultura, que comprende las etapas de: - sumergir una cámara en un corral marino que contenga peces; - capturar imágenes de los peces con la cámara; e - identificación de parásitos externos de peces en los peces mediante el análisis de las imágenes capturadas, caracterizado por las etapas de: - distinguir entre al menos dos clases diferentes de parásitos externos de los peces que difieren en la dificultad de reconocer el parásito externo de los peces; - calcular las métricas de calidad para cada imagen capturada, las métricas de calidad que permiten identificar las clases de parásitos externos de los peces para los que la calidad de la imagen es suficiente para la detección de piojos.
