Diverses formes d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention sont représentées, à titre d'exem ples, au dessin ci-joint dans lequel: La fig. 1 représente, en Loupe, l'extrémité d'une capsule; La fig. 2 représente, en coupe, une va riante de détail de la capsule suivant la fig.1; La fig. 3 représente, en .coupe" une va riante de la capsule suivant la fig. 1; La fig. 4 représente, en coupe, l'extrémité d'une autre forme d'exécution de da capsule, avant filetage du col;
11 a ,pour .but d'éviter l'inconvénient pré cédent.
Capsule with compressed or liquefied gas. The present invention patent application relates to a capsule with compressed or liquefied gas, especially a capsule of small dimensions.
Various embodiments of the object of the invention are shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing in which: FIG. 1 represents, in a magnifying glass, the end of a capsule; Fig. 2 shows, in section, a variant of detail of the capsule according to fig.1; Fig. 3 shows, in section "a variant of the cap according to Fig. 1; Fig. 4 shows, in section, the end of another embodiment of the cap, before threading the neck;
Fig. 5 shows, in section, the end of the capsule according to .fig. 4 after the row of col, and on which the head is mounted; Figs. 6 to 10 show, in section, variants of the capsule according to FIG. 5; Figs. i1 and 1.2 represent, in section, the end of a .other form of the capsule execution, resp. a detail variant.
The open end of the capsule i (fig. 1; is constricted (a technical term indicating a narrowing or reduction in diameter) as much as is necessary for it to take both the diameter and the: additional thickness required.
This end which forms the neck of the capsule is externally threaded and on this thread is screwed a head 2 which clamps against the opening of the neck a washer 3 made of plastic material, for example rubber, which provides sealing. This washer, which protrudes towards the inside. The opening of the neck, serves at the same time without its projecting part as a seat for a bell valve IL guided by the rod 5, of which it is integral, in a central bore, of head 2 and intended to close the capsule under the pressure of the gas therein, contained:
The rod 5 and its head 6 intended to abut it in order to limit the travel of the valve, carry the flats and notches necessary to allow the wise passage of the gas. In the bore, if the valve 4 is open.
The advantage of the capsule described is that it only requires a single plastic seal, whereas in known capsules there are two distinct ones, one closing the end of the capsule, the other forming a seat. for the valve. In addition, this plastic seal only provides sealing by one of its faces, which reduces the chances of leaks.
Finally, when the plastic seal is out of: service, i1: can be -changed, without any metal part being discarded, while in known models the plastic material of the valve is crimped in: this valve3, and its decommissioning entailed: Q. that of the entire sub-pope. In the device -described, the ser weaving is avoided and replaced by the tightening of the washer: plastic by -l'extreme of the capsule.
According to fig. 2 the imprisonment of the plastic washer is completed by a bead 7 (fig. 2), projecting inside the housing of the washer 3 in the head 2.
In the variant shown in fig. 3, the head 2 consists of two parts 8 and 9 (end-. 3).
In the valve 4, the three parts 4, 5 and 6 (fig. I) are separate and assembled by screwing, but 4 and 5, or 5 and 6 could also be in one piece.
In general, it is of great im portance, so that ides plastic gaskets remain watertight, that these gaskets fill their housing exactly and that they are locked there as much. as possible.
In the capsules according to fig. 1 to 3, it is visible that these conditions are: not absolutely fulfilled. Indeed, in: this which concerns the first condition, the thread of the head 2 will not be filled exactly by that of the neck of the capsule 1, because it must be pushed far enough so that the screwing is not stopped before tightening is sufficient on the washer 3. There will therefore remain a vacuum which will adversely affect the quality of the seal, because the plastic material may flow back into it little by little, which will reduce the compression. that she undergoes.
With regard to the second condition; when tightening the head on the neck of the capsule the plastic material can flow freely towards the center of the washer, all the more easily as the thickness of the washer will be greater compared to the thickness: of the walls of the capsule. On the one hand, the seal at the end of the capsule will be defective, and, on the other hand, the plastic washer, flowing back towards its center, will deform towards the. range of the valve 4, the strength of which will be more random.
The embodiments described below remedy these defects. Fig. 1 # represents the open end of a capsule, before threading: from its end. It has undergone, quite at its open end, over a short length, a: additional necking pass la, which gives it, at this end, an outer diameter at most equal to the inner diameter of the thread of the: neck of the capsule. In fig. 5, the same end is shown, after threading.
This thread .laisse cylindrical the wall: outer of the narrowed part 1a, which fits into the bottom of the cavity of the head 2, also cylindrical, so that the plastic washer 3 will exactly fill its housing.
In addition, the face of the narrowed part 1a (fig. 4 and 5) instead of being flat, is conical (convex cone), so that, when tightening, the plastic material tends, not to flow back towards the center of the washer, but towards the outside, that is to say, the outer edge of the washer is pressed against the corresponding wall of its housing.
Fig. 6 shows a variant of the narrowed part 1a, the face of which has an outer part 1.4, annular and slightly frustoconical and an inner part .sail sloping in the form of a; small: cylinder 15.4e lower length: to the thickness of the plastic washer, and of more or less reduced thickness, therefore, more or less sharp which is intended to enter a circular groove 11 of the plastic washer 10.
The end of the capsule, established a = near fig. 5 has a knockout effect on the plastic washer, generally: fairly: hard, and the deformation of this washer, towards the reach of the sou = pope 4 is quite low in the capsule according to fig. 5. It is further reduced by the arrangement according to FIGS. 6 and 7.
The washer, can also be -composed of two parts, as it is shown: in da fig. 8. The part 3 of the washer is of reduced thickness, but sufficient for the seal between the head 2 and the narrowed part 1a of the capsule to take place under the best conditions.
But its thickness is too small for the valve seal to fit well, as this requires a fairly large thickness of plastic. The second part i2 of the plastic washer, having a smaller diameter than part 3 and placed under part 3 in a corresponding housing of the head 2,: counter to this drawback. This part 12 - can be of a different flexibility @ that of part 3.
The capsule according to fig. 8 comprises in cor e a part 13 which is a part of the head 2. This part takes the form of a tu bulure provided with a collar 13a which is placed in the housing of the part 12 and on which the latter rests . The part 13 is committed. In the upper end of the central channel 2a - of the head 2.
It is this which guides the valve and it is important that it is internally well calibrated, with a diameter corresponding to ai! outside diameter @ of the valve stem or rather the diameter of the cylinder circumscribed to this stem which will generally be of polygonal section. This is why it is interesting to make this separate exhibit, for him to give a special precision.
In devices such as those shown on the fi.g. 5 or 6, it is feared that the plastic washer is completely cut, and thus separates into two rings, the inner ring becoming free can then leave its housing and the closure is no longer. This drawback can be remedied by means of the variants, shown in FIGS. 9 and 10.
According to these figures the face of the: narrowed part 1a is provided with a milling 17. This milling, cylindrical in the variant of FIG. 9 and conical in its variant of FIG. 10, holds in place in the event of a rupture the inner ring of the washer: plastic, even if it is completely separated from the outer ring.
In the various embodiments such as those shown in FIGS. from @ 5 to 10 inclusive, the rupture of the plastic washer often occurs, no, puas along a coaxial cylindrical surface, but along a surface which is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the washer and which shares the cell- here in two parts 18 and 19, superimposed, as shown in FIG. 12, the compressed gas can get lodged between:
these .two parts and when we empty the. cap sule, it hunts part 18 inside this -capsule.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 11 a, for .but to avoid the previous inconvenience. In this variant, the face of the narrowed part la is flat, on the other hand the upper face of a. part 21 of the head ide the capsule has a circular projection and chaufreinée 20. As shown: the drawing, the outer part of the washer 3 is more -or less trapped by the projection 20 and the end edge of the narrowed part.
In the event of a break as shown in fig. 12 the, upper part Ide the washer is held in place by the narrowed part la. In the event of a break along a cylindrical surface -coaxial .on, the inner ring of the washer can be prevented from leaving its housing by providing the face of the shrunken part 1a with a countersink such that 'it is shown in fig. 9 or .. 10.
