The present invention relates to a display of the power reserve of a watch movement. Such displays are known which, driven by means of a differential, delivers a movement proportional to the displacements between the axis and the cage of a barrel and therefore representing the winding rate of this barrel. This movement generally actuates a needle which moves in relation to a scale carried by the dial of the watch.
These known displays of the power reserve of the watch are analog and relatively inaccurate especially in the case of movement with large power reserves of the order of several days or a week.
The present invention aims to achieve a power reserve display of a watch movement that accurately indicates and a great ease of reading the number of days remaining from the power reserve of the watch for that the user has at a glance a precise indication of the number of days during which his watch will walk before it is necessary to reassemble.
Another object of the invention is to provide a digital display of the power reserve of a watch movement indicating the number of days of walking remaining to be covered.
The invention therefore relates to a display device of the
power reserve of a watch movement as claimed in claim 1.
The invention also relates to a watch provided with such a display device as claimed in claim 8.
The accompanying drawing illustrates a watch provided with a power reserve display device according to the invention and the mechanism of this display device.

<tb> Fig. 5 <sep> illustrates in plan the state of the power reserve display when this power reserve is zero.
<tb> Fig. 6 <sep> is a plan view illustrating the power reserve display and its drive mechanism.
<tb> Figs. 7 and 8 <sep> are partial views of the drive mechanism of the display device on the one hand during the winding of the barrel is the arming, and secondly when walking the watch is disarming.
The display device according to the invention is a digital display of the running time of the watch movement, it comprises a rotary disk 1 provided with numbers distributed along its periphery from 0 to x, x being the number representing the maximum number of days of the power reserve of the movement equipped with the display device. In the illustrated example this disk has an additional position indicated by UP meaning to the user that the reassembly is maximum.
This disc 1 is integral with a star 2 having as many teeth as indications, numbers and UP, carried by the disc.
A jumper 3 cooperates with this star 2 to maintain the angular position of the disc 1 and the star 2 between two successive actuations of this star 2.
The disc 1 is arranged relative to a window 4 of the watch face or with respect to a window made in the watch case B such that for each angular position of the disc 1 a indications, numbers or UP , or next to the window 4 and can be visible to the user.
The disk 1 is rotated by a driving mechanism of the power reserve display device described below, at a rate of one step per day so that the number appearing in the window 4 corresponds to the number of days of power reserve remaining.
In the example illustrated (see FIG.
6) Disk 1 has the digits 0 to 8 plus the UP position. This disk 1 is integral with the star 2 having ten teeth and it performs a revolution in ten steps, this embodiment is therefore provided for a movement with a maximum power reserve of eight days and a few hours, as will be seen further.
With the aid of this rotary disc 1 and the window 4 can be digitally indicate the remaining duration of the power reserve in number of days.
In the example illustrated in FIG.
1 we see that the wicket is practiced in the rear face or bottom of the watch case 6 but it is obvious that the wicket 4 could be practiced in the dial of the watch so that the display of the running time be visible from the upper face of the watch.
Thus, the display of the power reserve according to the invention comprises a window 4 practiced in the dial or in the watch case and a rotating disk performing a step per day including uniformly distributed on its periphery figures ranging from 0 to x,
x being the maximum number of days of the power reserve and possibly an additional indexing position.
This digital display of the duration of the power reserve is jumping so that in the window always appears only a whole number which greatly facilitates the reading of the information.
This digital display of the duration of the power reserve of a watch movement is driven by a drive mechanism of the display of the power reserve which includes the star 2 secured to the display disc 1 and the jumper 3 and a drive wheel comprising a wheel 5 driving with a friction coupling 6 a disc 7 having a finger 8.
This training wheel 5, 6, 7, 8 is driven at a rate of one complete revolution for a period of time corresponding to the difference between two digits of the display disk 1. Thus, in the illustrated example where the Disk 1 counts represent the number of power reserve days, the training mobile performs a full turn in one day, or 24 hours.
In a variant on the other hand, where the interval of time corresponding to the passage from one digit to the other of the display disk 1 would be different from one day, this time interval would be of a duration necessary for the mobile of drive rotates 360
This drive mobile 5-8 is rotated by the motor of the watch movement, usually one or more barrels,
using a gear train comprising a differential so that the rotation of the drive wheel corresponds to the angular displacements of the axis of a cylinder relative to its cage or generally to the angular displacement between the input member and the motor output member of the watch movement.
Such wheels are well known in the context of existing power reserve indicator and will not be described in detail here, an example will be given later in the context of an embodiment for a two-barrel movement in series. .
In the illustrated example the driving mechanism of the power reserve display further comprises a rocker 9 pivoted at 10 and subjected to the action of a return spring 11 bearing on a fixed stop 12 .
This rocker comprises a heel 13 intended to cooperate with a pin 14 carried by the display disk 1, a stop located between the last digit corresponding to the largest power reserve and the subsequent indexing position of the disk 1.
This flip-flop 9 further includes a spout 15 for cooperating with the finger 8 of the drive wheel at the end of arming the display of the power reserve.
When we go back the motor of the watch movement is caused to arm the display device of the power reserve.
The drive wheel 5-8 is driven clockwise and causes each turn indexing a step of the disk 1.
Assuming that the power reserve of the movement is eight days and three hours and that the display indicates 0 power reserve day when the movement is up, the training mobile 5-8 will perform eight full laps and thus will cause the indexing of eight steps of the disc 1, the number eight then appears in the window 4. By continuing to rebuild the engine even beyond its maximum armature what is possible with slidable flanged cylinders, one drives the drive wheel of a new turn causing a final indexing of the display disk and the indication UP is positioned in the window 4 indicating that the arming is completed.
In doing so the pin 14 of the disk 1 comes into contact with the heel 13 of the rocker 9 and moves it against the action of the spring 11 causing the displacement of its nose 15 which is positioned on the path of the finger 8 of the mobile drive.
Thus even if the user continues to move the motor of the movement, the disc 7 of the drive wheel is stopped although the wheel 5 continues to rotate through the sliding coupling 6. This position of the mechanism is illustrated in FIG. fig. 2. FIG. 4 illustrates the position of the mechanism at the end of arming before the last indexing of the display disc 1. FIG. 3 illustrates the last indexing of the display disc 1 and the movement of the flip-flop 9.
Then, the normal operation of the watch causes the disarming of the display of the power reserve.
In this phase the motor drives the drive wheel in the opposite direction, in the opposite direction of the hands of the watch. At the beginning of this reverse rotation, a first indexing of the display disc 1 immediately takes place since the spout 15 is close to the tooth of the star 2, which makes the display of UP, full arming, at the first digit of the graduation indicating the power reserve, in the case illustrated in days.
From this moment the drive wheel is driven in the opposite direction of the hands of the watch due to a lap for a period of time corresponding to the display gap between two successive positions of the disk. Display 1. In the example shown each day, the display decreases by one, one day of power reserve, and after eight days the display indicates 0.
The user knows that he must then reassemble his watch.
Fig. 3 6 illustrates in plan the display device of the power reserve, its drive mechanism and the gear actuated by the motor of the movement and driving the drive wheel 5-8.
Figs. 7 and 8 illustrate the operation of the gear train connecting the motion motor to the drive wheel 5-8 in the winding phase, respectively disarming, the power reserve display.
In the illustrated case the engine comprises two barrels mounted in series, the axis 20 of the first cylinder (not shown) is integral with a first cylinder wheel 21 engaged with a first referral 22 itself also meshing with the plate 23 of a differential. On the plate 23 is rotated at 24 a satellite with two teeth 25, 26.
The toothing 25 of this satellite is engaged with a pinion 27 integral with an axle 28 carrying a gear 29 meshing with the wheel 5 of the driving wheel 5-8. The toothing 26 of the satellite is engaged with a pinion 30 secured to a large wheel 31 pivoted about the axis 28 and connected thereto by a friction coupling.
The large wheel 31 is engaged with a second return 32 meshing with a second barrel wheel 33 integral with the axis 34 of the second barrel.
In such an arrangement the cages of the first and second cylinder are connected cynematically with each other by a gear train not shown.
In such a case the motor input of the movement is formed by the axis 20 of the first barrel and the output of the motor is formed by the axis 34 of the second barrel.
During the arming of the display of the power reserve, that is to say during the reassembly of the watch, the axis 34 of the second cylinder is immobilized by its ratchet while the axis 20 of the first barrel is rotated anti-clockwise (FIG 7) which causes the plate 23 to rotate in a counter-clockwise direction.
The satellite rolls on the toothing 30 of the pinion of the large wheel 31 which is stationary, blocked by the second return 32, the second barrel wheel 33 integral with the fixed axis 34 of the second barrel. This results in a rotation on itself of the satellite 25, 26 which drives the pinion 27 by its toothing 25 and thus the axis 28 and the toothed wheel 29 in rotation in the opposite direction of clockwise. Thus the drive wheel 5-8 engaged with the gear wheel 29 is well driven in the direction of clockwise causing the display of the power reserve display.
During normal operation of the watch, disarms the display device of the power reserve (see Figure 8). In this phase the axis 20 of the first cylinder is fixed by its ratchet so that the plate 23 remains stationary.
The large wheel 31 is driven by the second barrel wheel 33 and the second wheel 32 in the direction of clockwise. The toothing 30 of the pinion of this large wheel 31 drives the satellite by its toothing 26 and the toothing 25 of this satellite drives the pinion 27 of the pin 28 thus driving the toothed wheel 29 in the direction of clockwise causing the counterclockwise rotation of the drive wheel 5-8 and thus the disarming of the display of the power reserve.
In general, the gear train connecting the inlet and the outlet of the engine, for example the shaft and the cage of a cylinder to the drive wheel may be any provided that it allows to drive, in function of the rotary movements of the input and output of this motor,
the drive wheel in one direction for arming the power-reserve display and in the reverse direction for disarming this display. It is also necessary that the difference in the duration of the power reserve represented by two successive graduations of the display disc corresponds to the time taken by a complete revolution of the driving wheel 5-8.
In general, the scale carried by the display disk comprises a succession of numbers and / or signs corresponding to values of the remaining power reserve, the increment of this value being constant between two of these figures. and / or signs.
The numbers and / or signs carried by the periphery of the display disk are equidistant and distributed over at least a portion of the circumference of the disk,
generally over the entire circumference.
The star 2 of the mechanism carried by the display disc 1 has as many teeth as the number of digits and / or signs carried by the display disc 1.
