The present invention relates to a water-dilutable two-component paint, suitable as a sealing agent for plastic surfaces, consisting of an aqueous polymer dispersion and an emulsifiable isocyanate resin, which for the protective after-treatment of plastic surfaces, such as linoleum, rubber, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) -, polyurethane (PUR) - and epoxy surfaces is suitable. The present invention further relates to the use of the inventive water-dilutable two-component paint for the protective after-treatment of linoleum, rubber, PVC, PUR, epoxy and plastic surfaces or for the protective after-treatment of plastic surfaces, such as linoleum, rubber, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PUR) and epoxy surfaces.
Despite the known durability and durability, there is a desire in the art to further protect plastic surfaces, such as linoleum, rubber, PVC, PUR, and epoxy surfaces exposed for use in commercial or aggressive cleaning, with a sealant coating. The sealing coating offers particular ecological advantages.
To date, plastic surfaces, such as linoleum, rubber, PVC, PUR, and epoxy surfaces according to the teaching aids cleaning technology, Edition 1998, printing and publishing Grafiprint + Partner AG, as well as general opinion, by applying a plastic dispersion as self-gloss dispersion (matt, semi-gloss or high gloss) protected and maintained. The self-gloss dispersion is usually sparingly applied in two to three coats, in an amount of about 30 g / m 2 per coat, uniformly distributed in webs by means of a coater. The dry film thicknesses are in the range of less than 30 microns (<30 microns). For older porous coverings, a pore filler should be applied before coating. Old self-glossy dispersion films are removed by thorough cleaning.
The disadvantage of these procedures is that the treatments are repeated every two to five years with great effort. Furthermore, the environment is heavily polluted by the old protective films and the basic cleaning agent used. The general doctrine does not include solutions for the permanent protection of plastic surfaces, such as linoleum, rubber, PVC, PUR, and epoxy surfaces.
The object of the present invention is to remedy this situation and to provide a sealing system based on a water-dilutable two-component paint, consisting of an aqueous polymer dispersion and an emulsifiable isocyanate resin, which provides a uniform protective film with the dry film thickness of at least 30 micrometers (> 30 microns) in two to three coats offers. The application is carried out by brushing, rolling or spraying.
The application-technical problem could not be solved without inventive step. The skilled person can apply with the present invention, a uniform, streak-free, quick-drying, bubble-free seal. The lifespan is five to ten years. The renewal is carried out by grinding or grinding the old protective layer and the new order of the two-component paint.
It should be noted that the elasticity of the protective film corresponds to the elasticity of the plastic surfaces. Furthermore, the protective film must be resistant to physical and chemical attack. The protective film has to be loadable after six hours drying time.
The present invention relates to a water-dilutable two-component paint which is suitable as a sealing agent for plastic surfaces, characterized in that it consists of (i) an aqueous polymer dispersion and (ii) an emulsifiable isocyanate resin, wherein (i) the aqueous polymer dispersion contains the following constituents: 40 -90 weight percent water, 5-40 weight percent polymers and 1-40 weight percent additives; and (ii) the emulsifiable isocyanate resin consists of hydrophobic and hydrophilic polyisocyanates and contains 5-100 weight percent polyisocyanates and 5-100 weight percent cosolvent.
The aqueous polymer dispersion [component (i)] used according to the invention preferably has a pH of 6-9, in particular 7-8.5. To produce this pH, excess acid groups are neutralized with alkali hydroxide, ammonia hydroxide or with amines. Preference is given to neutralization with ammonia, preferably with tertiary amines (R 3 N), which form a compound (ion) of the formula - [R 3 NH] <+> with the proton of the acid or carboxyl group to be neutralized.
Preferably, in the aqueous polymer dispersion [component (i)], a polyol dispersion in water is used.
A further embodiment consists in that, in addition to the polyol dispersion, cobinders in the form of reactive and non-reactive polymer dispersions are used.
The polyols may correspond, for example, to the following formula:
EMI4.1
Further additives for the aqueous polymer dispersion [component (i)] are organic cosolvents, thickeners, leveling agents, defoaming agents, cobinders, matting agents, waxes, UV absorbers and other additives known per se.
Cosolvents in component (i) and component (ii) are used to stabilize the paint system. Thickeners are added to control viscosity stability. Leveling agents serve to promote the course. Defoaming agents are used to control defoaming. Waxes are used to improve the abrasion resistance. UV absorbers are used to protect the coating and the substrate.
In component (ii) it is possible to use hydrophobic and hydrophilic polyisocyanates. The water-dilutable two-component paint, consisting of an aqueous polymer dispersion and an emulsifiable isocyanate resin, can be optionally diluted with water to the required solids content.
The polyisocyanates of component (ii) preferably correspond to the formula:
EMI5.1
The present invention further relates to the use of the inventive water-dilutable two-component paint as a sealant for plastic surfaces for the protective after-treatment of linoleum, rubber, PVC, PUR, epoxy and plastic surfaces, or of plastic surfaces, such as linoleum, rubber, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PUR) and epoxy surfaces. In this sense, the two-component system according to the invention acts as a sealant.
The polymer dispersions used according to the invention can be used for the protective aftertreatment of linoleum, rubber PVC, PUR, epoxy and plastic surfaces or plastic surfaces, preferably linoleum, rubber, PVC, PUR, and epoxy surfaces. This includes the usual plastic mixtures in which plastics are the main component. Even plastics with a compacted or treated surface can be protected. Surfaces treated with this material exhibited a uniform coating after drying, withstanding high levels of stress in the object area, and proved to be dirt-repellent, abrasion-resistant, easy-care, non-yellowing and protective.
