Fig. 1 eine Faltbühne in Seitenansicht,
Fig. 3 das Gelenk im zusammengefalteten Zustand.
The invention relates to a folding platform for use as a work and protective scaffold, in particular on construction sites, with at least one articulated strut which comprises two partial struts, the adjacent ends of which are connected by a joint which consists of at least one tab of one partial strut and the other partial strut are arranged parallel to one another overlapping and have mutually aligned bores, and is formed by a pivot pin which projects through the bores, and the joint has a locking device for an extended position of use of the joint strut.
With such folding platforms, it is already known that after the folding process of the articulated strut, the extended position of the articulation is secured with a locking bolt. The locking pin protrudes through a hole in the tabs of one hinge strut and through a hole at the adjacent end of the other hinge strut. To lock the strut, this locking pin must be removed again. If this bolt is supplied loose, it can be lost. Then there is a risk that the joint will not be locked during the next unfolding process. If this locking pin is attached to a fastening rope or a chain, this fastening rope can become jammed by the folding process, hinder transport work of the folding platform or tear off.
In addition, the actual locking bolt must be separately secured against falling out by means of a spring pin or split pin, etc. If the holes through which the locking pin protrudes are knocked out, the locking pin has play and the joint is no longer properly fixed, as a result of which the flow of forces over the joint deteriorates.
The object of the invention is to provide a folding platform of the type mentioned, in which the articulated strut can be locked reliably and easily.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a folding platform having the features of claim 1.
The solution according to the invention has the advantage, among other things, that the locking device has no loose, lost parts, since the locking wedge is captively arranged on the pivot pin. A fastener that jams in the hinge, hinders transport work on the folding platform, or can tear off is not necessary.
Additional securing by means of spring cotter pins or cotter pins etc. can also be omitted, since the wedge that is inserted from above always remains in the inserted locking position due to its own weight and / or self-locking. For folding, the locking wedge is simply pushed back and thus releases the joint. This process and the locking principle are very simple and very safe.
A further advantage of this embodiment is that the contact of the locking wedge with its contact surface, at the abutting ends of the partial struts, eliminates the alignment errors which occur due to the necessary play of movement and improves the flow of forces via the joint.
Locks for articulated struts of folding platforms (Robusta-Gaukel company) are also known, in which a sliding lock is also provided for the abutting points of the partial strut ends. However, this solution is not based on a wedge clamping principle like the arrangement according to the invention. For this reason, the flow of forces over the joints is unfavorable and misalignments that occur due to necessary movement play are not excluded.
Another advantage of the present invention is that the hole in the tabs through which the pivot pin projects can be designed as a short elongated hole, the longitudinal axis of which extends essentially parallel to the expanded strut. As a result, the end faces of the abutting partial strut ends are always close to one another, which ensures an optimal flow of forces of the articulated strut.
An additional advantage is that the hinged straps have a uniform punching shape, which enables simple and economical production.
Another expedient embodiment of the subject matter of the invention provides that the pivot pin is captively connected to the straps of a partial strut and is thus secured against falling out at the same time. For this purpose, the pivot pin can preferably be designed as a tubular sleeve which is expanded at its ends to secure the position in the holes in the tabs.
It is further proposed according to the invention that the extension of the contact surface between the two partial struts runs through the axis of rotation of the pivot pin. As a result, the contact surfaces of the partial strut ends always lie against one another in the unfolded straight state of the strut without forming a gap.
In the drawing, a particularly advantageous embodiment is shown, which is described below. It shows:
1 is a folding stage in side view,
2 a joint of the articulated strut in the unfolded and locked state,
Fig. 3 the joint in the folded state.
1 essentially consists of a platform 8 and a frame 9, which are hingedly connected to one another and are supported against each other in an opened, perpendicular position by a pressure-loaded articulated strut 2 running diagonally to the two elements mentioned. The articulated strut consists of two partial struts 10, 11, at the adjacent ends of which two welded tabs 7, which are located opposite each other, are arranged. The tabs 7 of one partial strut 10 overlap the tabs of the other partial strut 11. The tabs 7 each have an aligned bore through which a pivot pin 5 projects, the bore in the tabs 7 of a partial strut 10 or 11 as a short elongated hole 13, the longitudinal axis of which extends essentially parallel to the unfolded strut 2.
A locking wedge 4 has an elongated hole 6 through which the pivot pin 5 also projects. The locking wedge 4 can be moved parallel to the joint of the struts 10 and 11. The elongated hole 6 in the locking wedge 4 has a flat angle to an abutment surface 12 with which the locking wedge 4 bears against the folded-out articulated strut 2.
Furthermore, the extension of the abutting surface between the two struts 10, 11 runs through the axis of rotation of the pivot pin 5. In an extended articulated locking position of the articulated strut 2, in which the ends of the struts lie close together, the locking wedge with its slot 6 pulls over the tabs 7 and thus the ends of the struts the pivot pin 5 to its contact surface 12. In a folded joint release position (see FIG. 3) of the joint strut 2, the locking wedge 4 is retracted and thus releases the joint 3.
