The invention relates to a structural profile made of rubber or plastic material according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such profiles are used in various technical areas such as used in vehicle construction, in device construction, but especially in facade construction in very different configurations. The deformable section serves to bring the profile into its final position or components such as Insert facade elements into the profile. In order to achieve sufficient mechanical stability, the deformable section must then be stiffened with the filling profile. It is evident that the material cross section previously reduced by the C-shaped groove is again supplemented.
In known structural profiles, the one-piece filling profile generally has approximately the cross section of the C-shaped groove to be filled. In order to prevent the filling profile from being pushed out later under mechanical load, the C-shaped groove must have a sufficiently deep undercut on both sides in order to overlap the filling profile. Considerable resistance has to be overcome to insert the filling profile. This is not without problems with larger profile cross sections, and it is practically no longer possible to insert them by hand. Rather, special spreading tools are required to spread the C-shaped groove so far that the filling profile can be inserted. However, there is again the risk of damage to the structural profile, which e.g. is particularly large at very low temperatures and thus increased material brittleness.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a structural profile of the type mentioned, in which the Füllpro fil can be inserted into the groove as easily as possible by hand. In addition, the mechanical stability of the profile filling is to be improved. This object is achieved according to the invention with a structural profile that has the features in claim 1.
The two parts of the filler profile, which are connected to one another by a hinge, can be folded up in the simplest manner in such a way that the profile can be inserted into the C-shaped groove without the side walls at all having to be spread apart. Subsequent pivoting back of the two parts stiffens the filling profile in the groove, the spring action of the two side walls preventing an independent opening. The two separate parts of the filling profile also have different mechanical properties than the same material cross section in one piece, so that a better stiffening can be achieved.
The two parts of the filling profile are particularly advantageously connected to one another in one piece by the hinge being formed by a material bridge. Such profiles can be produced particularly easily in the extrusion process. However, it would also be readily conceivable for the two parts of the filling profile to be separate parts which are connected to one another in an articulated manner.
The hinge-like connection of the two parts of the filling profile is particularly advantageously arranged such that the parts can only be opened in one direction of rotation, while the other direction of rotation is blocked by abutting adjacent wall sections. In addition, the spring action can be improved if the hinge-like connection on the tensioned filling profile is lower than the two outer sections of the filling profile in relation to the base of the C-shaped groove. In this arrangement, the filling profile snaps into a rest position after overcoming the maximum necessary press-in force, in which it is held by the spring force of the two side walls. To remove the filler profile, a certain force must be applied in the opposite direction before the two parts open.
The filler profile preferably consists of a material with lower elasticity than the rest of the structural profile. The mechanical stability can thus be increased further. In certain cases it would even be conceivable that the filling profile does not consist of rubber or plastic material, but e.g. made of a light metal or the like. In this context, it would also be conceivable that the filling profile does not extend over the entire length of the C-shaped groove, but rather that individual filling profile sections are only used at regular intervals.
The two-part filling profile is preferably used for structural profiles whose C-shaped groove is relatively long. If the groove extends over two bendable side walls, a further advantage can be achieved if the shape and length of the side walls are chosen such that the end of one side wall can be hooked onto the groove section of the other side wall before the filling profile is used. This creates optimal installation conditions, e.g. insert a glass pane into the profile. Interlocking is possible alternately on both side walls, whereby the asymmetrical configuration in the hooked state can possibly create better space on one side.
Preferably, a hooking bar is arranged on each of the outer ends of the side walls, on which the partial groove section can engage.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawings and will be described in more detail below. Show it:
1 shows a cross section through a structural profile with an inserted but not yet braced filling profile,
FIG. 2 shows the structural profile according to FIG. 1 with a tensioned filling profile, and
3 shows the structural profile according to FIG. 1 without a filling profile and with the side walls folded up.
In Fig. 1 a structural profile 1 is shown, e.g. could be used in facade construction. It is designed as a double-T profile, one T-leg of which is a deformable section 2, which is arranged symmetrically on the central web 10. This is achieved by an approximately C-shaped groove 4 which is arranged in this section. The two side walls 9a and 9b of the groove 4 can be bent open in such a way that the facade elements 7 can be pushed into the profile. The deformable section 2 must then be stiffened again, so that the facade elements 7 are held in place by the structural profile.
The stiffening takes place with the aid of the filling profile 3, which consists of the two parts 8a and 8b. In the present embodiment, the filling profile consists of two mirror-symmetrical, approximately prismatic sections. The two parts are connected via a hinge 6, which is designed as a thin material film. The hinge can obviously open the two parts 8a and 8b in such a way that the filler profile 3 can be inserted into the opening 5 of the C-shaped groove.
To brace the profile, a pressure is exerted on the filling profile in the direction of arrow A against the base of the groove, as can be seen from FIG. 2. Since the hinge 6 at the bottom of the groove is somewhat lower than the two outer sections of the parts 8a and 8b, the two side walls 9a and 9b of the groove 4 exert a torque running against the opening direction on the two parts 8a and 8b. The filling profile is held in the tensioned position, whereby it runs at a slightly obtuse angle as shown in the drawing. The filling profile 3 fills the C-shaped groove substantially completely. A latching edge 10 can be provided on both sides for better latching.
Obviously, other configurations of structure profiles are also conceivable according to the same principle. The filling profile 3 itself, or its two parts 8a and 8b, do not necessarily have to be constructed as prismatic sections. For example, it would be conceivable also an oval or elliptical overall cross section of the filling profile. Finally, it would also be conceivable for handles, tongues or the like to be arranged on the outside of the filling profile in order to facilitate the removal of the filling profile. A number of filling profiles could also be arranged on a structural profile, e.g. at a profile angle that has a filling profile on both outer legs.
Fig. 3 shows the interlocking of the left side wall 9a with the right side wall 9b before bracing. On the back of the side walls, a hooking bar 11 is arranged on the outside, on which the groove section of the adjacent side wall can engage. Obviously, there is somewhat better space on the left for inserting the element 7a than on the right.
The hooking could also be changed so that the hooking bar of the right side wall 9b is hooked.
After assembling the elements, the hooking is released and the filling profile is inserted.
