Abstract
The seat comprises seat(1) and backrest(2) dish sections, joined at the sides via two springs(11). The arms(9,10) of the latter form cylindrical bosses(29,30) inserted in sleeves(5,7) integral with the dish-sections. Each spring comprises two coil springs(20,21), each with radial arms at the opposite ends. One arm(25,26) is joined by a cranked portion(27,28) to the outer end of the spring. The pairs of arms are fixed together inside the bosses. ADVANTAGE - Long life, and springs will not break simultaneously.
Description
BESCHREIBUNG
Darin zeigt:
Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch ein Federelement, und
Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt längs der Linie II - II in Fig. 1.
DESCRIPTION
Seating furniture according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from EP-A 114 034. This seating has proven itself. However, it happened occasionally that a spring element broke after long use. The present invention avoids this disadvantage by the characterizing features of claim 1.
It has been shown that in the embodiment according to the invention with two helical springs per spring element, with the same elasticity and the same load, significantly higher fatigue strength values can be achieved. A breakage of the spring element after long use can thus be avoided. In addition, a break would not occur in both helical springs at the same time. so that additional security is guaranteed.
From US-A 4 084 850 it is known per se to use a helical spring for the resilient mounting of a back shell on a telescopic carrier. However, this spring only has a torque and no transverse forces to be transmitted.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a spring element, and
FIG. 2 shows a cross section along the line II-II in FIG. 1.
The seating consists of a seat shell 1 and a back shell 2 made of polypropylene. For stiffening, the two shells 1, 2 each have an edge bead 3, 4 which is U-shaped in cross section and open at the bottom. In the case of the seat shell 1, these edge beads 3 serve to fasten the chair legs, not shown. At the rear end, the edge beads 3 merge into a sleeve 5 with a circular cylindrical bore 6 that is open to the rear. In the same way, a sleeve 7 with a circular cylindrical bore 8 is formed on the lower end of the edge beads 4. In the holes 6, 8, the two arms 9, 10 of a spring element 11 are inserted and secured on both sides of the furniture, z. B. with press fit.
Each spring element 11 has two coil springs 20, 21 formed from spring steel wire with a circular cross section and having a common coil axis 22. The two coil springs 20, 21 are mirror-symmetrical. On the other spring 20, 21 facing end, a leg 23, 24 is bent radially projecting. The other spring leg 25, 26 projects radially in the same radial plane at an angle of approximately 100 degrees with respect to the first leg 23, 24 and is connected to the other end face of the helical spring 20, 21 via a cranked connecting part 27, 28.
As a result of this design, the two legs 23, 24 and 25, 26 of the two springs 20, 21 that belong together are immediately adjacent to one another. They are cast together in a circular cylindrical plastic pin 29, 30. So that the spring element 11 is aesthetically well presented and to keep the risk of injury low, the coil springs 20, 21 are cast into a polyurethane foam body 31.
