BESCHREIBUNG
Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Ansicht eines Portionenbechers;
DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a portion cup according to the preamble of claim 1. Portio nenbechermit tear tabs are already known. In these, the tear-open tab is designed as a tongue which runs out into a triangular, protruding tip. However, it is disadvantageous that such portion cups did not fit into the automatic vending machine stack or caused disruptions in dispensing due to the above pull tab.
The object of the invention is to provide a portion cup of the type mentioned at the outset, which is suitable both for the rational production from plastic and for use in stacking shafts, and it is possible to conveniently grasp the tear-open tab with two fingers.
This object is achieved by the features mentioned in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
As a result, these portion cups can be stacked up in the usual stacking shafts of beverage vending machines and removed individually without any problems. In addition, the pull tab can be gripped easily with your fingers without the risk of the tab breaking off prematurely.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown. Show it:
1 is a perspective view of a portion cup;
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the portion cup including cover fo lie.
The portion cup contains a pot-like, slightly conical cup part 2 made of thermoformed plastic with a radially protruding edge 3. The cup opening is closed by a cover film 4, which is usually printed. The cover film 4, which is preferably made of aluminum, is glued, sealed or welded to the edge 3 in order to achieve a tight seal. The contents of the cup usually contain coffee cream or lemon juice.
On the shell of the cup part there is a concave indentation 6 extending over the entire cup height, the radius of which is 9-12 mm, preferably approximately 10 mm, and the chord length is 10-14 mm, preferably approximately 12 mm.
Above this indentation 6 there is a tear-open tab 5, by means of which a pouring opening for the contents of the cup can be torn open in the cover film 4.
In the area of the tear-open tab 5, the edge 3 deviates slightly from the circular shape, the tab part projecting beyond the circular shape making up less than 10% of the diameter of the cup rim, namely approximately 1-2 mm, preferably approximately 1.5 mm, with a diameter of the cup rim of about 41 mm. At a radial distance from the cup indentation 6 of approximately 3-4 mm, there is an arcuate weakening line 7 in the edge 3, which is approximately concentric with the indentation 6. This weakening line 7 in the material of the cup rim, together with the adjacent edge part which projects beyond the circular shape of the cup rim, delimits a lenticular break-off part 8 which, together with the part of the cover film 4 above it, forms the tear-open tab 5.
The lenticular break-off part 8 has a width of 3.5-6 mm, preferably about 5 mm, at its widest point.
When the cup is opened in order to pour out the contents of the cup, the tear-open tab 5 is gripped with two fingers and initially bent upwards. As a result, the line of weakness 7 tears, and since the cover film 4 is connected, in particular glued or welded, to the lenticular break-off part 8, a tongue can then be torn from the cover film 4 so that the contents of the cup can be poured out.
An embodiment variant consists in that, instead of the weakening line 7 in the cup edge, there is a corresponding curved dividing line. Furthermore, there is the possibility of omitting the lenticular break-off part 8 of the cup rim 3, so that only a lenticular piece of the cover film remains as a tear-open tab, which protrudes beyond the concave boundary line.
