BESCHREIBUNG DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a sliding contact, in particular for commutation systems of small DC machines.
High demands are made on electrical sliding contacts of commutation systems of small DC machines with regard to the service life and a constantly low contact resistance.
Known solutions for such commutation systems consist of a commutator which interacts with a carbon or metal brush, the lamellae of which are made from sheet metal or wires. The materials used here are copper and, in the case of high-quality designs, particularly wear-resistant precious metal alloys, such as Ag Cu 10, for use. The contact surface is sometimes gold-plated to increase reliability. Corresponding versions are e.g. described in DE-AS 1 613 169 and DE-OS 2 041 238. Such commutation systems are economically and technically unsatisfactory due to the complicated structure of the commutator, the high use of precious metal materials and an unsatisfactory long-term behavior of the contact transition resistance.
In order to minimize the cost of materials, it has therefore been proposed to design commutators as layer commutators on a ceramic or plastic base body. Such layer commutators are described in DD-WP 101 246, DD-WP 127 191 (both IPK H 01, R, 39/04) and DD-WP 156 654 (IPK H 01 R, 39/06).
Compared to commutators with solid lamellas, the layer commutators are more economical solutions in terms of materials. The disadvantage of such commutators is primarily the small layer thicknesses or metal layers, which limits the service life and the load capacity of the contact layers. Eliminating this disadvantage by depositing thicker layers fails due to the technical possibilities of producing thicker layers with the required low porosity, high hardness and adhesive strength and a flat surface. Layers with the required quality parameters can only be produced up to the order of 10 µm. The possible wear paths are in the range of a few | xm and the service life is accordingly short.
Attempts have been made to counteract this disadvantage by means of extremely hard metal layers. For example, according to DD-WP 101 246, a Nix Py layer, which has an extremely high mechanical wear resistance, has become known as a contact layer of a commutator. Such layers have a high hardness and lead to a large brush wear. In addition, the electrical properties of Nix Py are relatively poor and thus high contact resistances occur. The long-term behavior of the contact resistance is also adversely affected by the poor resistance to oxidation.
Commutation systems equipped with such layers are therefore poorly suited for precision DC machines. According to DE-OS 1 763 878 and DE-OS 2 124 425 it is also known the elements of the commutation system, i.e. the commutator or the brush with a soft metal coating, preferably with a 0.3 to 6 (in the thick soft metal layer. It is obviously assumed that in addition to a lubricating effect, part of the energy occurring in the switching spark on the contact system is converted into the low-melting metals. It is disadvantageous that these soft metal layers have an insufficient constancy of the contact resistance due to oxidation .. If noble metal layers are used as cover layers, which is generally known for high-quality contact systems, the service life essentially depends on their layer thickness and thus on the expenditure of noble metal.
A manufacturing method for a layer commutator is described in DD-WP 156 654, IPK H 01 R, 43/06. According to this process, a Nix Pr layer is chemically and reductively deposited on a ceramic base body, on which a precious metal contact layer is applied by electroplating. The Nix Py layer serves as an electrically conductive adhesive layer for the layer to be electroplated, so its thickness can be kept very thin at 50 nm.
In the case of such contact systems, too, the service life is ultimately determined by the available wear path of the gold layer, since after its wear, the contact system no longer has the required parameters.
The aim of the invention is to achieve with little effort that such electrical sliding contacts have a long service life with high stability of the electrical parameters.
The invention has for its object to provide a high-quality electrical sliding contact, in particular for commutation systems of small DC machines, which has little wear, no or only insignificant oxidation phenomena and requires little precious metal.
Starting from an electrical sliding contact, in which a contact layer is arranged on a carrier material, the object of the invention is achieved in that a hard amorphous intermediate layer with a surface roughness of 0.5 to 10 μm and a cauliflower-like surface structure is arranged between the carrier material and the contact layer .
The intermediate layer expediently consists of Nix Py. The phosphorus content of the Nix Pr layer should be between 5 and 10%. Another variant of the invention provides an intermediate layer made of Nix By. The roughness of the surface structure is preferably 3 µm. For high-quality contacts, the contact layer consists of gold, silver or a silver-palladium alloy. A copper layer is also sufficient for less demanding tasks. The thickness of the contact layer should be between 0.5 and 10 μm, the layer thickness having to be at least slightly greater than the roughness of the intermediate layer surface.
