la fig. 1 est une vue en coupe partielle illustrant la tête de robinetterie selon l'invention dans son exécution préférentielle;
1; fig. 2 est une vue de profil de la colonne d'actionnement;
sa fig. 3 illustre la partie inférieure de ladite colonne d'actionnement et le tamis amortisseur de bruit dans son exécution préférentielle, ces deux éléments étant vus de face;
la fig. 4 illustre ledit tamis lorsqu'il est vu d'en haut;
la fig. 5 est une vue en plan de l'élément d'étanchéité mobile dans son exécution préférentielle, ce dernier étant vu d'en haut;

CLAIM
Tap head comprising a threaded sleeve (1) intended to be fixed to a tap body and a flow regulating device composed of an actuating column (2) driving a first movable sealing element (3), and d '' a second fixed sealing element (4) serving as a lower sealing element, characterized in that the actuating column (2) is a monobloc element comprising at its lower part (5) a recess (6) at the less partially covered with a plane noise damping screen (7), integral with said actuating column and arranged in the manner of a plane inclined with respect to the axis (8) of said actuating column.
The subject of the invention is a valve head comprising a threaded sleeve intended to be fixed to a valve body and a flow regulating device.
Many devices are known which equip the upper part of fittings with sanitary installations for example. Such devices are most generally in the form of a cartridge which, housed in a valve body, is provided with coaxial discs pierced with orifices and capable of performing relative rotation and an actuating column for adjusting the debit.
French patent application No. 2475680 describes a device whose actuating column and its guide box form an individual and removable assembly, screwing onto a cartridge constituting the lower part of this device. Said cartridge comprises in particular a cylindrical housing in which there is a first movable disc intended to cooperate with the lower part of the actuating column and a second, fixed disc, integral with the housing. As a means for suppressing noise, the device comprises a rebound disc situated above the first movable disc and comprising on its rear face lugs or damping fins. Such a device is characterized by a relatively high number of constituent elements.
German patent application No. 3145863 describes a similar device, but the movable flow regulating disc is actuated by means of an intermediate piece cooperating with the actuation column proper. This intermediate piece has a semi-cylindrical grid, perforated at its base with circular openings and used to suppress noise. Given its shape and its relative fragility, said grid is supported in its middle part by projecting parts of the intermediate piece.
The object of the invention is to propose a device similar to those described above, but comprising a smaller number of constituent elements, consequently of easier and less expensive construction, and the noise damping means of which are simpler and more robust than those previously described.
It relates to a valve head comprising a threaded sleeve intended to be fixed to a valve body and a flow regulating device composed of an actuating column driving a first movable sealing element, and a second element fixed sealing serving as a lower sealing element, characterized in that the actuating column is a one-piece element comprising at its lower part a recess at least partially covered with a plane noise damping screen, integral with said actuating column and disposed in the manner of an inclined plane relative to the axis 8 of said actuating column.
An embodiment of the head which is the subject of the invention will be described, by way of example, with reference to the attached drawing, in which:
fig. 1 is a partial sectional view illustrating the valve head according to the invention in its preferred embodiment;
1; fig. 2 is a side view of the actuation column;
his fig. 3 illustrates the lower part of said actuating column and the noise damping screen in its preferred embodiment, these two elements being seen from the front;
fig. 4 illustrates said sieve when viewed from above;
fig. 5 is a plan view of the movable sealing element in its preferred embodiment, the latter being seen from above;
fig. 6 is a plan view of the fixed sealing element in its preferred embodiment, the latter also being seen from above.
As illustrated, the valve head which is the subject of the invention comprises a threaded sleeve 1, generally made of brass, intended to be fixed on a valve body, the seal between said sleeve and the valve body being able, for example, to be ensured by a seal suitably placed in the housing 9 arranged on the external surface of the sleeve.
The valve head comprises a flow regulating device comprising a monobloc actuating column 2, generally made of brass, illustrated in its preferred embodiment in FIG. 2.
In its upper part, said column comprises a groove 10 intended to cooperate with a Circlips 11 (registered trademark), held in said groove by pinching and ensuring the fixing of the actuation column to the threaded sleeve 1. In its middle part, said column comprises a second groove 12, intended to serve as a housing for an annular seal 13, ensuring the tightness of the flow regulating device.
In its lower part 5, the column 2 has a cylindrical recess 14 intended to receive a cylindrical pin 15 slightly protruding from said recess and thus acting as a stop limiting the angle of rotation of the column around its axis 8. Also in its part lower, on its portion diametrically opposite to that comprising the recess 14, the column 2 has a recess 6 of rounded shape and whose preferential execution is illustrated in section in FIGS. I and 2. It has been observed that such a shape is particularly favorable to a laminar flow, therefore not very noisy, of the water supplying the sanitary installations of current model.
In its lower part 5, said column further comprises a notch 16 into which the upper end of the screen 7 will engage, thereby ensuring that the latter is secured to column 1.
The lower end of the actuating column 2 consists of a protruding element 17 intended to cooperate with a corresponding recess 18 arranged on the upper surface of the movable sealing element 3, so that the latter is driven integrally by rotation of the column 2. Projecting element 17 and recess 18 are executed in such a way that their maintenance is ensured by simple stamping. The projection element 17 also ensures, by simple compression, the joining of the lower part of the screen 7 to the lower part 5 of the column 2 and to the movable sealing element 3.
The recess 6 arranged in the lower part 5 of the actuating column 2 is at least partly covered by the noise-absorbing screen 7. FIG. 3 illustrates this particular provision.
The portion of screen 7 covering the recess 6 forms an inclined plane with respect to the axis 8 of the actuating column 2. It has been found that an angle of inclination of approximately 10 represents an advantageous arrangement of said screen 7 In a preferred embodiment, said sieve is in the form of a fine wire mesh, preferably made of stainless steel, the meshes of which are between 1.0 and 1.5 mm on a side. This preferred design ensures relatively silent water flow.
The lower part of the sieve 7 is further cut so as to be able to fit exactly into the corresponding recess 18 arranged on the upper surface of the movable element 3. The sieving of the sieve is in particular ensured by two notches 7 'and 7 "each cooperating with two stops 18 'and 18" emerging from the recess 18.
The upper part of the screen 7 engages in the notch 16 arranged in the column 2, above the recess 6. This thus ensures perfect attachment of the noise damping screen with the actuating column.
As indicated above, a pin 15 serves as a stop limiting the angle of rotation of the column 2 and, by way of consé
quence, the rotation of elements 7 and 3 which are integral with it. The external part of the pin 15 moves in a corresponding space 19 arranged on the internal face of the sleeve 1. This space is shaped so as to allow rotation of the actuating column by a maximum angle of 180.
The flow control device comprises, in addition to the elements described above, two sealing elements 3 and 4, respectively mobile and fixed. According to a preferred embodiment, these elements consist of ceramic discs, each pierced with an orifice in the form of a half-moon, respectively 20 and 21. This material has the advantage of being able to be machined with precision and of being almost insensitive to wear. It follows that the watertightness of such a device can be guaranteed for a relatively long period, without any overhauls or repairs being necessary. The movable sealing element 3, integral with the column 2, will be machined so that its outside diameter
is slightly less than the inside diameter of the socket 1,
so that its rotation takes place without excessive friction.
The fixed element 4, which functions as a lower sealing element of the valve head of the present invention comprises in its upper part a notch 22 intended to cooperate with a pin 23 serving to block said element 4. Its lower face is in besides bevelled like illustrated in section by fig. 1.
According to a preferred embodiment, the plane of the lower face forms an angle of about 25 with that of the upper face of the fixed element 4. This particular configuration makes it possible to ensure a laminar flow regime and therefore not very noisy.
The outside diameter of the fixed element 4 will be calculated so as to correspond exactly to the inside diameter of the socket 1.
The tightness of the device could also be reinforced by the presence of a shape-shaped seal 24.
