On voit que l'appareil selon l'invention présente simultanément les avantages suivants;
- faible consommation énergétique, puisqu'il n'est pas nécessaire de faire circuler en permanence le fluide dans le corps d'évaporateur 5;
¯suppression totale de l'entartrage, si bien que l'appareil peut être utilisé en continu, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de l'arrêter périodi quement pour un nettoyage;

The present invention relates to an evaporator, in particular for the treatment of polluted industrial liquids, for example of the waste water type.
It can be used in the area of residue treatment, but also in all areas where a solution of the scaling or clogging type must be evaporated. This technique is used when it is desired to separate the impurities contained in a liquid: the liquid is collected by evaporation and the waste which it contained is recovered in the form of salts or sediments.
For example, it may involve treating waste water laden with hydrocarbon waste, as encountered in the petroleum industry. After evaporation, one collects, on the one hand, a sufficiently clear water to be discharged into the sea or in a river, on the other hand, solid salts or sediments which one burns or which one throws in the discharge.
To achieve this result, the known devices used to date are generally boilers or evaporators derived from the chemical industry. They are either static (boilers) or dynamic (evaporators), the solution (generally water) then being conveyed by a pump.
Whatever device is used, the results obtained are poor when the solution is scaling or tends to crystallize.
In the case of static devices, the scale is deposited on the hot wall of the device, in a uniform layer, and very quickly lowers the heat exchange coefficient, which decreases the capacity of the device, up to 'to make it unusable.
In the case of dynamic devices, by adopting very high circulation speeds for the liquid, we manage to delay the phenomenon but not to eliminate it, and this by admitting a high energy consumption at the level of the circulation pump.
The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks and to produce an evaporator meeting the following two criteria:
- absence of scaling on the hot wall in the case where the solutions are scaling or encrusting,
- low energy consumption.
The evaporator apparatus according to the invention has the characteristics specified in claim 1.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the heating wall is cylindrical of revolution, while the brushes housed inside rotate with a rotor around the axis of revolution of the cylinder.
Means may be provided for regulating the application pressure of the brushes when they rub on the wall to be cleaned.
The pressure adjustment means can be, for example, constituted by at least one spring bearing on the rotor and acting on each brush.
Each brush can advantageously be articulated on the rotor around an axis parallel to that of the rotor, but eccentric and located closer to the wall to be cleaned, so that the circular trajectory of the brush around its axis is intersecting with the section circle of the cylindrical wall.
The appended drawing, given by way of nonlimiting example, will allow a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial section view of an evaporator device according to the invention,
fig. 2 is a section along line II-II of FIG. 1.
The apparatus according to the invention as illustrated in the drawing comprises a supply 1 which pours the solution to be evaporated; a feed tank 2 receiving this solution; a controller 3 ensuring a constant level in the tank 2; an evaporator body 4 whose internal wall 5, cylindrical of revolution about a vertical axis 6, is surrounded by a double external wall 7; a brushing assembly, the rotor 8 of which is rotated by a geared motor 9; an evaporation channel 10 connecting the top of the evaporator 4 to a droplet separator 11; a withdrawal channel 12 located at the bottom of the separator 11, from which the liquid or condensate phase is thus collected; an outlet channel 13 through which the dry vapors are discharged.
The intermediate space between the walls 5 and 7 of the evaporator body 4 has an upper inlet 14 and a lower outlet 15 for a heating fluid.
The rotor 8 has a vertical shaft 16, driven in rotation by the gearmotor 9, as well as an upper flange 17 in the form of a horizontal disc.
The shaft 16 carries around it four eccentric vertical axes 18, on each of which is articulated an arm 19 with an almost radial orientation in the cylindrical wall 5. Each arm 19 carries a metal brush 20, the bristles 21 are supported on the internal face of the heating wall 5.
Each brush holder 19, 20 has an acerbating pin 22 on which is anchored a tension spring 23 which is supported on a screw 24 whose position is adjustable by means of a nut 25, on a stirrup 26 of the flange 17.
Each axis 18 is eccentric, located closer to the wall to be cleaned 5. Each brush 20 therefore describes around its axis 18 a circular path 27 which intersects with the section circle of the cylindrical wall 5 (fig. 2). Thus, the traction of the spring 23 tends to apply the metal hairs 21 against the wall 5, and this with a force which can be adjusted by means of the screw 24.
At its lower part, the evaporation body 4 has a withdrawal opening 28 for the recovery of the salts and solid waste scraped off the wall 5 by the brushes 20.
The operation is as follows:
The polluted liquid, consisting of the solution to be evaporated, is poured through the feed 1 into the constant level tank 2. This solution therefore fills the evaporator body 24 which constitutes a communicating vessel in which a constant liquid level is maintained.
The double heating wall 5, 7 is traversed by the heating fluid which enters at 14 and leaves at 15. The volatile parts of the solution
evaporate through channel 10 to give rise, on the one hand, to a liquid condensate which can be drawn off at 12 and, on the other hand, to dry vapors which are discharged at 13.
As for the solid deposits which tend to form on the internal face of the cylindrical wall 5, they are permanently eliminated by a scraping effect effected by the metal bristles 21 of the brushes 20. These solid residues detached from the wall 5 fall in crumbs in the lower part of the evaporator where they accumulate. Periodically, they are discharged through the withdrawal opening 28.
It can be seen that the apparatus according to the invention simultaneously has the following advantages;
- low energy consumption, since it is not necessary to continuously circulate the fluid in the evaporator body 5;
¯ complete removal of scaling, so that the device can be used continuously, without the need to stop it periodically for cleaning;
- The mounting of the brushes 20 on articulated arms 19 returned by springs 23 automatically compensates for the wear of the bristles 21 and permanently ensures effective brushing of the wall 5, even after a long period of operation.
