5. Contact arrangement according to claim 4, characterized in that the flange (24) of the support tube (23) has on its circumference an axially projecting shoulder (25) which engages over the annular flange (18) on its circumference.
6. Contact arrangement according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the support tube (23) is full-walled.
The invention relates to a two-part arcing contact arrangement which is arranged in a movable blowing nozzle of a compressed gas switch and is movable therewith according to the preamble of claim 1.
The contact sets interacting in a pressure gas switch generally have a pair of nominal current contacts and a pair of arcing contacts. In the event of a switch-off stroke, the rated current contacts first disengage and only then the arcing contacts. The latter must therefore carry practically the entire cut-off current during the switch-off stroke, and the switching arc to be extinguished is drawn between these arcing contacts.
An arcing contact arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset is known, for example, from US Pat. No. 4,123,636, in particular from FIGS. 4-6. This contact arrangement interacts with a stationary, tubular arcing contact. Since the erosion ring is located in front of the free ends of the contact fingers, the switching arc - as soon as the movable arcing contact arrangement has left the fixed, tubular arcing contact - commutate on the erosion ring, and thus the contact fingers are protected from erosion. This switching arc is also blown by quenching gas that is fed to the blowing nozzle.
Now, in the known switch, the arrangement of the movable arcing contact pieces is such that - in the switched-on position - the ring of contact fingers engages on the outside of the stationary, tubular arcing contact, while the erosion ring extends into this tubular arcing contact.
This arrangement does not only result in the observance of relatively narrow tolerances in the manufacture and assembly of the individual components, but also has the consequence that the ring of the contact fingers inhibits the extinguishing gas flow through the blowing nozzle, especially in those periods of the switch-off stroke, since this is particularly important strong blowing of the switching arc would be desirable.
The proposed arc contact arrangement largely eliminates these disadvantages in that the ring of contact fingers and the erosion ring have approximately the same inside diameter, and that the erosion ring is fastened to one end of a support tube surrounding the ring, the other end of which is fastened to the annular flange .
Features of preferred embodiments can be found on the one hand in the dependent patent claims and on the other hand in the following purely exemplary description with reference to the drawing.
The only figure in the drawing shows a schematic axial section through an arcing contact arrangement, with an arrow of the blowing nozzle surrounding it.
The contact arrangement 10 shown in the drawing is located essentially in the inlet area 11 of a blow nozzle 12, which is only partially shown and consists of an insulating material and which is one of the movable components of a pressure gas switch and is fastened to an end wall 13 of a pump cylinder (not shown) .
The pump chamber 14 enclosed by the pump cylinder is connected to the inlet area 11 via passages 15.
A set of arcing contacts is mounted centrally on the side of the end wall 13 facing away from the pump chamber 14.
This set initially has a ring of resilient contact fingers 16 which, separated from one another by slots 17, originate from a common, annular flange 18.
This flange is screwed into a central recess 19 surrounded by the passages 15 in the end wall 13.
The contact fingers 16 converge with their free end towards the axis of the switch, so that they can spring outwards when engaged with the fixed arcing contact 20, which is only indicated by dashed lines. In addition, the contact fingers 16, which are essentially made of a resilient Cu alloy, are equipped on their actual contact surfaces with a shaped piece 21 made of a contact material that is as resistant to erosion and wear as possible, for example tungsten.
A burn-off ring 22 made of a burn-off and heat-resistant material, for example made of graphite, is arranged coaxially with the ring of the contact fingers 16 and the free ends thereof.
The erosion ring 22 has approximately the same inner diameter as the ring of the contact fingers (in the switched-on position), thus also encloses the arcing contact 20 in the switched-on position, but with some play. In addition, the inner profile of the erosion ring 22 is curved, its smallest inner diameter being arranged in the vicinity of the free end of the contact fingers 16.
The erosion ring 22 is enclosed in one end of a solid-walled support tube 23, for example made of copper. It can, for example, be screwed into this end, soldered in or secured in some other way, which ensures good electrical contact between the erosion ring 22 and the support tube 23. At its lower end, the support tube 23 has a flange 24 which lies flat on the flange 18 and is provided with a peripheral shoulder 25 which the
The circumference of the flange 18 overlaps. This ensures proper centering of the erosion ring 22 with respect to the ring of the contact fingers 16 already during assembly.
The flanges 18 and 24 are screwed together by means of bolts 26 in the recess 19.
During the switch-off stroke (imagine that the drawn-out components move downward) and after the nominal current contacts (not shown) are already disengaged, the arcing contact 20 leaves the contact fingers 16, and immediately thereafter also the erosion ring 22. The initially between one of the Shaped pieces 21 and the arcing contact 20 drawn switching arc commutates practically immediately on the erosion ring 22.
The flow of the quenching gas occurring in the inlet region 11 under pressure through the passages 15 can now blow the switching arc directly and uninhibitedly and then the arc path through the ring of the contact fingers 16 and through the adjoining drive tube 27 and / or also through the fixed arcing contact 20 through - if it is tubular - leave.
