In hydraulic presses, especially in those of large dimensions, the deformations which occur inside the two decks are quite significant. They change with each operation depending on the shape, dimensions and quality of the material to be folded.
Systems are known today which try to compensate for the negative effects of the bending of the fixed deck and of the movable deck: Swiss patents Nos 411755 and 508426 and French patent No 2078874.
These mechanical and hydraulic devices have the drawback of forcing the user to predetermine the deformation that there will be inside the fixed deck and the movable deck, in order to compensate for it before the folding operation. They require a long trial period before obtaining valid results. And often the result obtained is not entirely satisfactory.
It is indeed very difficult, in the case of a press brake, to accurately determine the deflection that will be encountered under the pressure of the cylinders during the working phase and immediately after. And even if we wanted to obtain a result by analytical calculation, something quite feasible, we would have to redo the calculations each time we change one of the parameters: the shape, the bending angle, the thickness, the resistance of the material, the tools used or the bending length.
In addition, if the deflection due to bending inside the fixed and movable apron were calculated in this way, there would still be considerable errors due to the deformation of the guide system.
On the other hand, the deflection changes continuously during the working phase. The calculation giving only the final deflection, the result will be very random, all the more so as sheets of the same size and quality have differences in strength and thickness due to manufacturing tolerances.
Thus, a press brake, before being able to work within reduced tolerance margins, requires a long period of adaptation on the part of the operator, and its accuracy depends on the skill of the latter.
The object of the present invention is to overcome the above drawbacks in a much more precise manner.
To this end, the present invention relates to a hydraulic press, comprising a fixed deck and a movable deck, as defined by claim 1.
The invention also relates to an actuation method as defined in claim 13.
The invention makes it possible to determine the deflection due to the deformation of a press brake, not before the work period under stress, but during the entire work phase.
The idea consists in fact in determining and compensating for this deformation during the folding cycle, by making precise measurements of the deflection obtained simultaneously under stress. These measurements are analyzed by a central unit during and / or immediately after the working phase, and the deformations are compensated simultaneously by a counter-deformation which is given, until the matrix and the tool are parallel.
The advantages of a hydraulic press which operates according to the idea of the present invention are obvious. The deformation of the fixed deck and / or the movable deck can be corrected very precisely, since the exact measurement of the deflection is known. This correction is made automatically and instantly by the machine, following orders given by an analysis center, without resorting to the skill of the operator.
The correction can be carried out either during the working phase, or during and after the working phase, or only after the working phase.
The choice is only due to technical problems which derive from the shape of the press, the shape of the tool, the shape you want to obtain after shaping and the materials used.
The invention will be better understood with the aid of the appended drawings showing, by way of example, the press with the device according to the invention. In the drawings:
fig. 1 represents a front 3/4 view in perspective of a hydraulic press with two cylinders, with compensation slot, in its working position without tools,
fig. 2 shows a front 3/4 view of a hydraulic press with two cylinders, with two compensation slots, in its working position without tools.
Fig. 1 shows a hydraulic press in which the pistons of the working cylinders 6 are in their force position, therefore with the movable bulkhead 5 in the working phase.
In this phase, it is obvious that the movable deck 5 will have ten
dance to bend, the middle point of the movable deck 5 being higher than the two ends.
For the same reason, the fixed apron 4 will tend to bend so that the middle point of the fixed apron 4 is lower than the ends of said apron.
It follows that the working surface of the two aprons 4 and 5, and therefore the surfaces of the two tool holders, the die holder 8 and the punch holder 9 are no longer parallel.
Measuring means 3 make it possible to measure the deflection due to these deformations. They transmit their information to a central analysis unit 7. This central unit analyzes the information obtained and orders the compensation cylinders 2, which are located inside a compensation slot 1, to provide additional thrust inside. fixed apron 4 to obtain a curvature of the surface of the die holder 8, curvature which will be exactly the same and parallel to the curvature of the surface of the punch holder 9. The operation continues throughout the working phase, providing a permanent total correction.
Therefore, the deformations due to bending in the fixed and mobile aprons, which were in opposite directions and which gave in the most distant parts of the working rolls 6 a considerable error, can be corrected by a counter-deformation obtained by the thrust of the compensation cylinders 2 inside the compensation slot 1.
Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment of the invention.
It relates to a hydraulic press in which two compensation slots 1 have been made, one in the fixed deck 4 and the other in the movable deck 5.
The press is shown in its working phase, in which the working cylinders 6 have the pistons in their position under stress.
In this position, the die holder 8 tends to deform in its central part downward relative to its ends, while the movable apron 5 and in particular the punch holder 9 tend to deform, so that the central part of the tool is higher than the ends of said punch holder.
For this reason, if the entire length of the press is used or if the workpiece is centered on the press, bending will be irregular due to insufficient penetration of the tool in the middle of the press.
When the two fixed aprons 4 and mobile 5 are under stress, means 3 for measuring the deformation, on the basis of parameters such as the penetration depth of the tool or the bending angle of the part, send to the central 7 analyzes the data necessary to establish with what effort the pistons 2 of the upper and lower compensation slots 1 must intervene to cancel the deformation on the edges of the two decks.
Via a hydraulic circuit, the central analysis unit controls the pistons of the compensation cylinders 2 so as to fully compensate for the bending in the movable deck 5 and in the fixed deck 4. The die holder 8 and the holder - punch 9 are each reduced to a straight line, exactly parallel to each other.
In another embodiment, not shown, the compensation slot is located only in the movable apron 5 and no compensation slot is made in the fixed apron 4.
In this case, the fixed deck 4 - in particular its working surface, namely the die holder 8 - will tend to deform and its central part will then be lower than its ends. At the same time, the working surface of the movable deck 5 - namely the punch holder 9 - will deform and its central part will then be in a higher position than that of its ends.
At this point, the means 3 for measuring the deformation will transmit the information to the central analysis unit 7 which, via the hydraulic circuit, will give the orders to the pistons of the compensation cylinders 2, located in the compensation slot 1 inside the movable apron 5, to modify the curvature of the edge of the movable apron 5, namely the punch holder 9, so as to correspond exactly to the curvature of the fixed apron 4 on its edge, namely the die holder 8.
In the above embodiments, the correction system is arranged in a compensation slot 1 located in the deck.
The same correction system can be applied between the tool holder and the tool, that is to say between the die holder and the die and / or the punch holder and the punch.
