Claims (7)

  1. Mechanical apparatus for plotting the deformations of the image which occur in colour printing on stamped metal cans and for tracing the corresponding correction curves characterized in that it is composed of two chassis (A, E) which are cable on the same guide slides (H), one of the two chassis (A) provides support for at least a section (D) of a metal can baring an image with deformations produced in the course of string of the can; the other chassis (E) provides support for a film (T) bearing an image without deformations; the two chassis are displaceable in the same relative direction of a fixed reference line (C) and they are connected by a kinematic system (N, I, L, F) permitting relative displacements between the two chassis (A, E) and for varying the relative displacenents to obtain a measurement concerning the deformation of the image in the different parts of the metal can.
  2. Mechanical apparatus according to claim 1 characterized in that the kinematic system (N, I, L, F) which permits variation in the relative displacements of the two chassis (A, E) is formed by a closed belt system (N) controlled by a bar (F) which is pivotally mounted on a hinge and inclinable.
  3. Mechanical apparatus according to claim 2 characterized in that the support for the slider (L) which is movable on the pivotally mounted and inclinable bar (F) is provided with a stylus-carrying gripper (M).
  4. Mechanical apparatus according to claim 3 characterized in that installed in the plane below the stylus-carrying gripper (M) is a table on which it is possible to fix a piece of drawing paper (Z) for tracing thereon the graph (W) derived from the movement of the recording element.
  5. Mechanical apparatus according to claim 1 characterized in that the internal chassis (A) carries a ground glass (B) which is lit from below.
  6. Mechanical apparatus according to claim 1 characterized in that disposed above the glass (B) of the internal chassis (A) and fixed with respect to the structure of the apparatus, orthogonally to the direction of movement, is a transparent plate (T) of glass, plastics material or film, on which a fine reference line (C) is engraved.
  7. Mechanical apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 6 characterized in that the template or cam which is obtained from the curve joining the tops of the traced ordinates (W) produces the deformation to which the image is subjected and makes it possible to produce in advance the opposite deformation to the deformations to which the original will be subjected in the course of the procedure.
