REVENDICATIONS
La fig. 1 en est une vue en élévation;
la fig. 2 en est une vue en plan;
la fig. 3 est une vue en coupe, à grande échelle, par la ligne III-III de la fig. 5;
la fig. 4 est une vue en coupe par la ligne IV-IV de la fig. 3;
les fig. S et SA sont des vues en coupe par la ligne V-V de la fig. 3 illustrant le fonctionnement normal du lift;
les fig. 6, 6A et 6B sont des vues fragmentaires analogues aux figures Set SA, illustrant le fonctionnement du dispositif de sécurité;

CLAIMS
1. Lifting installation comprising at least one column constituted by a vertical screw, by means for driving this screw in rotation, by a supporting nut engaged on this screw so as to go up or down according to the direction of rotation of the screw, by a crew integral with said carrier nut intended to receive a load, and by a safety device comprising a second nut engaged on the screw below and at a certain distance from the carrier nut so as to support the crew and its load in case of failure of the carrier nut, characterized in that said safety device comprises means controlling the interval separating the two nuts and controlling the instantaneous or deferred stopping of said drive means at the moment when said interval is accidentally reduced .
2. Lifting installation according to claim 1, characterized in that said means controlling the interval of the two nuts is constituted by an oscillating lever mounted on the carriage whose angular position is modified when the safety nut is requested .
3. Lifting installation according to claim 2, characterized in that said control device comprises a switch inserted, in the closed position, in the control circuit of said drive means, which is opened by said lever when it occupies its modified angular position.
4. Installation according to claim 3, characterized in that the opening of said switch occurs when the crew reaches a position close to its lower limit position.
5. Installation according to claim 1, characterized in that said safety device comprises means automatically opening the control circuit of the drive means when one or the other of the limit stops has not worked .
This installation comprises at least one column constituted by a vertical screw, by means for driving this screw in rotation, by a protective nut engaged on this screw so as to go up or down in the direction of rotation of the screw, by an integral crew. of said carrier nut intended to receive a load, and by a safety device comprising a second nut engaged on the screw below and at a certain distance from the carrier nut so as to support the crew and their load in the event of failure of the carrier nut.
Known installations of this type have the disadvantage that no signal indicates a failure of the carrier nut, so that the safety nut can function as a new carrier nut until it is in turn victim of a failure, which can have the most disastrous consequences, for example the fall of the crew and their load.
The present invention, which aims to eliminate this risk, is characterized in that said safety device comprises means controlling the interval separating the two nuts and controlling the instantaneous or deferred stopping of said drive means at the moment when said interval is accidentally reduced.
The attached drawing shows, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention constituting a lift with two columns for automobiles.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view thereof;
fig. 2 is a plan view thereof;
fig. 3 is a sectional view, on a large scale, by line III-III of FIG. 5;
fig. 4 is a sectional view through the line IV-IV of FIG. 3;
fig. S and SA are sectional views through the line V-V of FIG. 3 illustrating the normal operation of the lift;
fig. 6, 6A and 6B are fragmentary views similar to the figures Set SA, illustrating the operation of the security device;
fig. 7 is an electrical diagram of the lift.
Each column 10 of the lift shown in the drawing comprises a vertical screw 11 rotatably mounted between a pivot 12 and a bearing 13, a profiled beam 14, a carriage 15 mounted on ball bearings capable of moving vertically without play in the beam 14, a nut 16 secured to the carriage 15 engaged on the screw 11, telescopic arms 17 articulated to the carriage 15, and a three-phase electric motor-reducer 18 making it possible to drive the screw 11 in rotation by means of a double belt transmission notched 18A in one direction or the other and thus raise or lower the carriage 15. The beam 14 is welded to a plate 19 supporting the pivot 12 and, at its upper end, to a horizontal plate 20 on which are mounted the bearing 13 and the gear motor 18.
The two motor-reducers 18 are controlled synchronously by two push-buttons 21 and 22 embedded in one of the columns 10 and belonging to a single-phase circuit (fig. 7) by means of relays R1, R2, R3, and R4 . One of these buttons controls the rise, the other the descent of the carriage 15.
The travel of this carriage 15 is limited downwards, respectively upwards, by a device comprising (fig. 4, S and SA) a rod 23 on which two fingers 24 and 25 and two cams 26 are adjustable. 27 cooperating with contactors 28 and 29 inserted in the single-phase control circuit of the motor-reducers 18 (fig.
7). The fingers 24 and 25 are placed on the path of a plate 30 welded to the carriage 15. The rod 23 is mounted on brackets 31 welded to the beam 14 so as to be able to move axially against the action of two springs 32 from an equilibrium position for which the contactors 28 and 29 are closed.
The carriage is automatically stopped downwards (fig. S) at the time when the plate 30, after coming into contact with the finger 24 and having driven the rod 23 down against the action of the upper spring 32 corresponding, causes, through the cam 26, the opening of the contactor 28. In the same way, the carriage 15 is automatically stopped upwards (FIG. SA) by the opening of the contactor 29.
The lift shown also comprises a safety device mainly intended to prevent the fall of the carriage 15 and of its load in the event of failure (breakage, wear, etc.) of the nut 16. This safety device comprises a nut 33 engaged on the screw 11 below and at a certain distance from the carrier nut 16. This nut 33, which normally does not support any load, is intended to automatically replace the carrier nut 16 in the event of failure of the latter and allow to lower the carriage 15 to a lower level where it is possible to unload it easily.
The safety device comprises, for this purpose, a rod 34 on which three fingers 35, 36 and 37 are adjustably fixed, and a double cam 38 intended to cooperate with a contactor 39 inserted in the control circuit of the motor-reducers 18.
The rod 34 is also mounted on the brackets 31, parallel to the rod 23. It can move axially, like the latter, against the action of two springs 40 which normally maintain it in an equilibrium position axial for which the contactor 39 is closed.
The safety device also comprises an oscillating lever 41 whose axis 42 is integral with the carriage 15. Its curved end forms a spout 43 and it comprises, approximately in the middle of its arm, a nose 44 normally engaged between the nuts 16 and 33 .
The fingers 35 and 37 which are on the vertical trajectory of the beak 43 are located at slightly higher levels, respectively lower than those of the fingers 24 and 25. As for the finger 36, shorter than the fingers 35 and 37, it is located in a horizontal plane slightly above that containing the finger 24. As a result of its reduced length, its end is set back relative to the trajectory of the spout 43.
In normal operation, the fingers 24 and 25 cause the carriage 15 to stop before the spout comes into contact with the fingers 35 and 37.
The safety device intervenes, on the one hand, when the nut
carrier 16 is faulty and, on the other hand, when the limit stops have not worked normally, and this in the following manner: Failure of the carrier nut 16.
This nut slides or falls until it is stopped by the safety nut 33, which therefore supports the entire load. During this relative displacement of the two nuts 16 and 33, the nose 44 comes into contact with the safety nut 33, which causes the lever 41 to tilt as illustrated in FIG. 6. It follows that, when the carriage 15 arrives descending at a certain distance from its lower end-of-travel, the spout 43 comes into contact with the finger 36, moves the rod 34 downwards and causes the opening of the contactor 39. The power supply to the motors 18 is cut off and the carriage 15 is stopped in a slightly raised position for which it can easily be unloaded and from which it is no longer possible to restart it by pressing the buttons 21 and 22. This impossibility therefore indicates that the carrier nut 16 is broken or worn.
Failure of defin stroke stops.
When the carriage exceeds one or the other of the limits of its normal travel (fig. 6A and 6B), the spout 43 comes into contact with the finger 35 or the finger 37, moves the rod 34 downward or downward. high, which causes the contactor 39 to open. The power supply to the reduction motors is cut off and the carriage 15 is stopped slightly above or below the positions it occupies when the limit stops are operating normally. In these positions of the carriage 15, it is no longer possible to put it back in motion by pressing the buttons 21 and 22. This impossibility therefore indicates that one or the other of the end-of-travel stops has failed.
To prevent the fingers fixed on the rods 23 and 24 from being moved by incompetent people, these rods are made inaccessible by a locked casing 45.
The invention is obviously not limited to the embodiment shown in the drawing. In particular, one could imagine, as a variant, replacing the finger 35 with a lug secured to the cooperating carriage 15, if the lower limit of the latter's travel is exceeded, with the finger 36.
