After the thorax has been opened, the heart is exposed and a previously calibrated flow probe of an electromagnetic flow meter is placed around the ramus circumflexus of the left coronary artery to measure the amount of blood flowing through. Arterial blood pressure is measured via a catheter in the femoral artery with a pressure transducer. Furthermore, a calibrated strain gauge is used for direct measurement on the surface of the left ventricle

Dimethylphenethyl) -2- (3,4-dimethoxyphenyl) -m-dithian-2-propionamide in 80 ml of tetrahydrofuran was added dropwise. 45 The suspension obtained is heated under reflux for a further 3 hours, then cooled to 0 ° C. and 50 ml of saturated sodium sulfate solution are carefully added. The whole is then filtered off with suction, the solution is diluted with water and extracted with ether. The ethereal extracts are washed with 1N sodium hydroxide 50 lye, then with water, dried with magnesium sulfate and evaporated. The oily residue is chromatographed on silica gel with chloroform-ethanol (95: 5). The base obtained is dissolved in acetone and the equivalent amount of anhydrous oxalic acid is added. The resulting precipitate is recrystallized from methanol-acetone. The N- (3,4-dimethoxyphenethyl) -2- (3,4-dimeth-oxyphenyl) -m-dithiane-2-propylamine oxalate (1: 1) thus obtained melts at 186-188 ° C.

Die so erhaltene kristalline Masse wird dreimal aus Methanol-Acetonitril umkristallisiert und man erhält 4-{2 '-[3- 20 ((3,4-Dimethoxyphenäthyl)-methylamino)propyl]-m-dithian-2 '-yl}-2-methoxyphenol-l ',1 ',3 ',3 '-tetraoxid-hydrobromid mit einem Schmelzpunkt von 192°C (Zers.) 11.2 g 2- [4- (ben2yloxy) -3-methoxyphenyl] -N- (3,4-dimeth-oxyphenethyl) -N-methyl-m-dithiane-2-propylamine-l, 1,3,3- tetraoxide (prepared according to Example 3) are heated with 100 ml of 48% hydrobromic acid on the steam bath 15 for 2 minutes. The aqueous solution is then extracted with ether, evaporated in vacuo and azeotroped three times with ethanol-benzene. The residue is crystallized from acetone. The crystalline mass obtained in this way is recrystallized three times from methanol-acetonitrile and 4- {2 '- [3- 20 ((3,4-Dimethoxyphenäthyl) -methylamino) propyl] -m-dithian-2' -yl} -2 is obtained -methoxyphenol-l ', 1', 3 ', 3' -tetraoxid-hydrobromid with a melting point of 192 ° C (dec.)

1 g N-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenäthyl)-2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-m-dithian-2-propylamin (hergestellt gem. Der ölige Rückstand wird mit Oxalsäure in Aceton-Essigester behandelt, wobei das N-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenäthyl)-2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)-N-äthyl-m-dithian-2-propylamin-oxalat auskristalHsiert: Schmelzpunkt 126-127°C. 1 g of N- (3,4-dimethoxyphenethyl) -2- (3,4-dimethoxyphenyl) -m-dithiane-2-propylamine (prepared according to Example 1) is dissolved in 20 ml of absolute pyridine and mixed with 200 ml of acetic anhydride. After 18 hours the solvent is evaporated down and the residue is partitioned between ether and sodium carbonate (5%). After evaporation of the solvent, an oil (1.2 g) is obtained which is dissolved in 20 ml of absolute tetrahydrofuran. This solution is slowly added dropwise to a suspension of 0.4 g of lithium aluminum hydride and 20 ml of absolute tetrahydrofuran. A concentrated aqueous sodium sulfate solution is slowly added to the mixture and then suction filtered. After evaporation of the solvent, the residue is partitioned between ether and water and the organic extracts are worked up. The oily residue is treated with oxalic acid in acetone-ethyl acetate, the N- (3,4-dimethoxyphenethyl) -2- (3,4-dimethoxyphenyl) -N-ethyl-m-dithiane-2-propylamine-oxalate crystallizing out: melting point 126-127 ° C.
