The present invention relates to a gun with a target and aiming device.
The target and Richtvor devices that are common today with guns are mostly arranged above the barrel axis, sometimes also to the side of the barrel axis at the same height as it.
This geometrical arrangement has the disadvantage that, particularly when shooting at a moving target, the field of view of the target and Richtvor direction is impaired by the sheaves of bullets crossing the optical axis. In the case of infrared aiming devices that work with heat radiators emitted by the object, these
Arrangements have the disadvantage that the projectiles crossing the heat rays result in a change in the modulation of the heat rays received and thus a falsification of the target information of the device.
The aim of the invention is to create a cannon in which the geometric arrangement of the aiming and aiming device relative to the cannon is provided in such a way that the
The field of vision of the aiming and straightening device is switched off by sheaves of bullets and a flawless target indication is achieved even with rapid firing sequences.
The cannon according to the invention is characterized in that the aiming and aiming device is arranged below the horizontal plane laid by the horizontal pivot axis of the cannon.
Two exemplary embodiments of the cannon according to the invention are described below with reference to the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows as a first embodiment an arrangement of the target device in front of and vertically below the cannon barrel with a gunner's seat behind the cannon,
Fig. 2 shows the arrangement of Fig. 1 seen from the front,
As a second embodiment, FIG. 3 shows an arrangement of the aiming device with a gunner seat vertically under the cannon barrel.
In the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a cannon is installed in a turret 6, the barrel 5 of which is visible. The receiving part 7 of an optical targeting device is arranged vertically under the cannon barrel 5, but in front of its bedding. The seat 8 for the gunner is, as usual, behind the cannon. Immediately in front of the gunner's seat 8, the display part 17 or the eyepiece of the target device is set up. The receiving part 7 and the reproducing part 17 of the target device are connected to one another by an electrical system that takes over the line of sight transmission. For example, a TV, an image converter tube or fiber strands could be considered. The optical axis of the aiming and aiming device thus runs perpendicularly below the axis of the gun barrel 5.
The aiming and aiming device 7, 17 can be designed as a target tracking device, e.g. as an IR target tracking device.
The front view of the arrangement according to FIG. 1 shown in FIG. 2 is divided into four quadrants 1 to 4. The aiming device 7 lies vertically under the cannon barrel 5 in quadrant 4. The gunner's seat is behind the protective roof 18 and is covered by it.
3 shows an optimal second exemplary embodiment with the arrangement of a compact target recording and playback unit 7, 17 with a gunner's seat 8. In this example, everything is arranged compactly as one unit vertically below the cannon barrel 5. The gunner's seat 8 is also arranged in front of the bedding of the cannon barrel 5 here.
In this way, an optimal target definition is achieved.
In the case of the cannon described, it is achieved that the field of view of the aiming and aiming device is kept free from impairment by projectiles even when firing, since the direction in front is always outside the field of view.
When using IR target devices, the heat rays emitted by the object and the projectile path only meet in the immediate vicinity of the object, where the interference from the projectiles practically no longer has any influence on the modulation of the heat rays.
An arrangement of the aiming and aiming device in the bed of the cannon barrel would not be recommended because, even with good insulation of the aiming device, it will not be possible to keep the bedding vibrations caused by the shots away from the aiming and aiming device.
However, this would result in rapid destruction of the sensitive aiming and aiming device.
IR aiming and aiming devices and also target tracking devices are suitable as aiming and aiming devices.
