Die O-Alkylierung einer Verbindung der Formel II bzw.
VII bzw.
Formel I, bzw.

In Wasser dispergierbare Wirkstoffkonzentrate, d.h.

EMI5.2
where Rl, R2, R4, R6, R7, Y, m and n have the meanings given for the formula I, X is a halogen atom and R'3 is a Ci-Ct-alkyl radical.
The O-alkylation of a compound of the formula II or
VII or IX can be combined with the various saturated or
unsaturated halides, depending on the reactivity of the halide used, in different solvents and at different reaction temperatures - but always in the presence of at least one mole of one of the bases mentioned below.
Particularly suitable inert solvents are acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, cyclohexanone, 1,2-dimethoxyethane, tetrahydrofuran, dioxane, dialkyl ether, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, hexamethylphosphoric acid triamide, sulfolane, inert hydrocarbons such as toluene, benzene, xylene and the like.
However, other solvents can also be used.
Alkali or alkaline earth metal hydroxides, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal carbonates, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal hydrides and alkali metal alkoxides are used as necessary bases or acid acceptors in the ether formation from a compound of the formula II or VII or IX and a halide; however, organic bases such as e.g. Triethylamine, pyridine, etc., can be used as acid acceptors.
The reaction temperatures for ether formation are between -10 and 130 C, usually between 5 and 75 "C (e.g. when using solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylformamide, dioxane, sulfolane, tetrahydrofuran, hexamethylphosphoric triamide, 1,2-dimethoxyethane etc.) or else at the boiling point of the solvent used (e.g.
for ketones).
The conversion of compounds of the formula IB into the corresponding epoxy derivatives is preferably carried out in an inert solvent, expediently in a chlorinated hydrocarbon between -25 ° C. and room temperature, usually between -5 and + 5oC, with the aid of an epoxidizing agent such as a Peracid.
The epoxy derivatives of the formula IC can also be obtained via the corresponding halohydrins, by splitting off hydrogen halide, by reacting an alkenyl ether of the formula IB with an N-halosuccinimide, e.g. with N-bromosuccinimide, in a mixture of water with a solvent such as tetrahydrofuran, 1,2-dimethoxyethane, dioxane or tert. Butanol, in a homogeneous or heterogeneous phase between -5 C and room temperature, converted into the bromohydrin and then treated by subsequent treatment of the bromohydrin with an alkaline agent, e.g. Alkali carbonate, or an Alka lialkoxyd the desired epoxy derivative is obtained. Alkali is to be understood in particular as sodium and potassium.
The term peracid is primarily used to denote peralkanoic acids with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, e.g.
Peracetic acid, and also aromatic peracids, such as perbenzoic acid, monoperphthalic acid, but especially 3-chloroperbenzoic acid, understood.
The work-up and isolation of compounds of the
Formula I, or IA-ID, is made by known techniques, e.g.
Adding water or ice to the reaction mixture, followed by extraction with a suitable solvent, e.g. Ether; Washing the organic phase, e.g. with dilute alkali or alkali carbonate, drying the
Solution over anhydrous sodium sulfate. After removing the solvent, the remaining compound can be
Formula I, if necessary, can be purified by crystallization, vacuum distillation or chromatography on silica gel or aluminum oxide.
In order to obtain epoxidized compounds of the formula IC, various reaction sequences can lead to the goal:
Either the hydroxyl group of the 4-hydroxy-aryl ether II in
The presence of a base is etherified with an alkenyl halide and then the olefinic in this arylalkenyl ether
Double bond, as described above, is converted into an epoxide, or else the alkenyl halide first with exclusion of moisture in a chlorinated hydrocarbon between - 250C and room temperature with the aid of an epoxidizing agent such as e.g. a peracid, epoxidized and this
Epoxy halide in the subsequent reaction with the 4-Hydroxya ryl ether II in the presence of an acid acceptor to the end product - a substituted or unsubstituted, epoxy-dated diphenyloxide alkyl ether or
4-Cyclohexyloxyphenyl alkyl ether - implemented.
The addition of hydrogen halide, in particular of
Hydrogen chloride or hydrogen bromide to an aliphatic double bond is preferably effected by the action of the anhydrous
Hydrogen halide to a compound of formula IB in a suitable solvent, e.g. Methanol, ethanol, another alcohol, a dialkyl ether, 1,2-dimethoxy ethane, glacial acetic acid, etc. The addition of the hydrogen halide is carried out at a temperature between - 30 and + 25 C.
Here, too, the halide formed is isolated by known techniques, such as adding water to the reaction mixture, extraction with an organic solvent and removal of the excess hydrogen halide by neutralization with a weak base or by washing with water, the halide remaining after removal of the solvent Crystallization, high vacuum distillation or chromatography can be further purified.
Unsaturated araliphatic ethers of the formula IB (where Y = CH2O or OCH2) can be hydrogenated to the saturated araliphatic ethers of the formula IE in a known manner, e.g. with catalytically excited hydrogen, expediently between room and boiling temperature of the reaction mixture at normal or elevated pressure. Raney nickel or noble metals such as platinum or palladium are preferably suitable as catalysts. Particularly suitable solvents are methyl and ethyl acetate, dioxane or alcohols such as methanol or ethanol.
The reactions to the active ingredient of the formula I, in which R3 is a C1-C4-alkoxy group, are carried out under normal pressure and in an anhydrous alcohol R'3OH and, if appropriate, in solvents and diluents which are inert towards the reactants, for example in ethers such as tetrahydrofuran , Dioxane, diethyl ether, 1,2-dimethyloxyethane, etc. In the 1st stage - if R'3 = H and in the 2nd stage, water can also be used as a solvent.
Mercury (II) acetate and mercury (II) trifluoroacetate are preferably used as mercury (II) salts.
As a complex hydride e.g. MeBH4 used, in which Me means an alkali or alkaline earth metal atom. The reaction with complex hydride takes place in the presence of alkali hydroxide and water. The reaction temperatures are in the range from -10 to +40 C, preferably between 10 and 30 C.
Another method for obtaining the compounds of the formula I in which R3 is a Cl-C4-alkoxy group can also be the etherification of an alcohol of the formula IG by reaction with a halide, depending on the reactivity of the halide used, in different solvents and with different solvents Reaction temperatures - but always in the presence of at least one mole of one of the bases mentioned above - are carried out.
The compounds obtained are obtained - where this is to be expected in principle - as cis / trans isomer mixtures. A mixture of isomers can e.g. be separated into the isomeric forms with the aid of chromatographic separation methods, e.g.
by adsorption on a separating material with selective adsorption activity, e.g. Silica gel, aluminum oxide, and subsequent elution of the separated isomers with a suitable solvent, e.g. Diethyl ether, hexane, methyl or ethyl acetate. Another chromatographic separation method is gas chromatography. In certain cases, a mixture of isomers can also be separated by fractional distillation or fractional crystallization.
The starting materials of the formulas II to XI are known compounds or can be prepared analogously to known methods described in the literature.
The compositions containing the compounds of the formula I are suitable for combating various animal and vegetable pests, and in particular they are suitable for combating insects.
The new agents containing the active ingredients of the formula I can be used primarily for combating larvae and eggs of insects of the orders and families:

The active ingredients can be present and used in the following working-up forms: Solid working-up forms: dusts, scattering agents, granules (coated granules, impregnation granules and homogeneous granules): Liquid working-up forms: a) active ingredient concentrates dispersible in water: wettable powders
Pastes,
Emulsions: b) Solutions
The active ingredients can be mixed with solid carriers for the production of solid forms (dusts, scattering agents). Carriers include e.g.
Kaolin, talc, bolus, loess, chalk, limestone, lime grit, attapulgite, dolomite, diatomaceous earth. Precipitated silica, alkaline earth silicates, sodium and potassium aluminum silicates (feldspar and mica), calcium and magnesium sulfates, magnesium oxide, ground plastics, fertilizers such as ammonium sulfate, ammonium phosphate, ammonium nitrate, urea, ground vegetable products such as grain flour, tree bark flour, wood flour. Nutshell flour, cellulose powder, residues of plant extracts, activated charcoal etc .. can be used individually or as mixtures with one another.
Granules can be produced very easily by dissolving an active ingredient of the formula I in an organic solvent and applying the solution thus obtained to a granulated mineral, e.g. Attapulgite, SiO2, granicalcium, bentonite etc., and then the organic solvent evaporates again.
Polymer granules can also be produced by mixing the active ingredients of the formula I with polymerizable compounds (urea / formaldehyde; dicyandiamide / formaldehyde: melamine / formaldehyde or others). whereupon a gentle polymerization is carried out. from which the active ingredients remain unaffected, and granulation is still carried out during gel formation. It is cheaper. Finished, porous polymer granules (urea / formaldehyde, polyacrylonitrile, polyester and others) with a specific surface and a favorable, pre-determinable adsorption / desorption ratio with the active ingredients. e.g. in the form of their solutions, (in a low-boiling solvent) to impregnate and remove the solvent.
Such polymer granules can also be applied in the form of microgranules with bulk weights of preferably 300 g / liter to 600 g / liter with the aid of atomizers. The atomization can be carried out over large areas of crops with the help of aircraft.
Granules can also be obtained by compacting the carrier material with the active ingredients and additives and then comminuting.
These mixtures can also be added to stabilize the active ingredient and / or nonionic, anionic and cationic substances, which, for example, improve the adhesion of the active ingredients to plants and parts of plants (adhesives and adhesives) and / or better wettability (wetting agents) and dispersibility (dispersants ) guarantee.
For example, the following substances are possible: olein / lime mixture, cellulose derivatives (methyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose), hydroxyethylene glycol ethers of mono- and dialkylphenols with 5-15 ethylene oxide residues per molecule and 8-9 carbon atoms in the alkyl residue, ligninsulphonic acid, its alkali and alkaline earth salts. Polyethylene glycol ethers (carbowaxes), fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers with 5-20 ethylene oxide residues per molecule and 8-18 carbon atoms in the fatty alcohol part, condensation products of ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, polyvinylpyrrolidones. Polyvinyl alcohols, condensation products of urea / formaldehyde and latex products.
Active ingredient concentrates dispersible in water, i. Wettable powders, pastes and emulsion concentrates are agents that can be diluted with water to any desired concentration. They consist of active ingredient, carrier, optionally additives stabilizing the active ingredient, surface-active substances and anti-foaming agents and optionally solvents. The wettable powders and pastes are obtained by mixing the active ingredients with dispersants and pulverulent carriers in suitable devices until homogeneous and grinding. Suitable carriers are, for example, those mentioned above for the solid work-up forms. In some cases it is advantageous to use mixtures of different carriers.
Examples of dispersants that can be used are: condensation products of sulfonated naphthalene and sulfonated naphthalene derivatives with formaldehyde, condensation products of naphthalene or naphthalene sulfonic acids with phenol and formaldehyde, and alkali metal, ammonium and alkaline earth metal salts of lignosulfonic acid. further alkylarylsulfonates, alkali and alkaline earth metal salts of dibutylnaphthalene sulfonic acid, fatty alcohol sulfates, such as salts of sulfated hexadecanols, heptadecanols, octadecanols and salts of sulfated fatty alcohol glycol ethers. the sodium salt of oleyl methyl tauride, ditertiary ethylene glycols. Dialkyldilaurylammonium chloride and fatty acid alkali and alkaline earth salts.
As antifoam agents e.g. Silicone oils in question.
The active ingredients are mixed, ground, sieved and passed with the additives listed above in such a way that the solid portion of the wettable powders does not exceed a particle size of 0.02 to 0.04 and of the pastes 0.03 mm. To produce emulsion concentrates and pastes, dispersants such as those listed in the previous sections, organic solvents and water are used. Examples of solvents are alcohols, benzene, xylenes and toluene. Dimethyl sulfoxide and mineral oil fractions boiling in the range from 120 to 350 ° C. in question
Solvents should be practically odorless and inert towards the active ingredients.
Furthermore, the inventive agents in the form of
Solutions are applied. For this purpose, the active ingredient or
several active ingredients of the general formula I are dissolved in suitable organic solvents, solvent mixtures or water. Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and their chlorinated derivatives can be used as organic solvents. Alkylnaphthalenes, mineral oils can be used alone or as a mixture with one another.
