Abstract
The clip is for securing plastic pipes to the walls of buildings, and has two semicircular stirrup pieces with protruding flanges clamped together by screws. The stirrup pieces each have on the inside a removable sector-type strip (9, 10). The two ends of the strips fit between the flanges (3, 4) and are secured by the screws (5). Thus the clip normally holds the pipe so that it cannot slide, but removal of the strips allows sliding to compensate for heat expansion etc. The strips can be of plastic, e.g. polyester, and the edges of the stirrup pieces on the inside can be sharp.
Description
Fig. 1 eine Vorderansicht einer erfindungsgemässen Rohrschelle und
Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht derselben.
The invention relates to a pipe clamp with two semicircular brackets with protruding flanges, which are connected by clamping screws.
To fasten plastic pipes to building walls and ceilings, two types of pipe clamps are usually used, namely a so-called. Fixing clamp, which has the task of holding the pipe and fixing it so that it cannot be displaced in the longitudinal direction, and a so-called. Sliding clamp, which must also hold the pipe, but should allow it to move in the longitudinal direction, e.g. B. under the influence of thermal expansion, can move. So far, two different types of pipe clamps have been used for a specific pipe diameter for this purpose, which made storage and transport to the assembly sites difficult.
The aim of the invention is to create a pipe clamp that can be used as a sliding clamp and as a fixed clamp.
The pipe clamp according to the invention is characterized in that the brackets are arcuate in cross-section, and that a band with a sector-shaped cross-section is detachably inserted on their concave inner side, the two ends of the bands lying between the flanges and held by the tensioning screws.
In this training the pipe clamp is used as a sliding clamp. If it is to be used as a clamp, the inserted tape is removed. As a result, the flanges of the two brackets move closer together when the tensioning screws are tightened and enable the brackets to be clamped to the plastic pipe to be held.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a front view of a pipe clamp according to the invention and
Fig. 2 is a side view of the same.
The pipe clamp has an upper and a lower semicircular bracket made of metal 1 and 2, respectively. Both brackets are provided with laterally protruding flanges 3 and 4 at their ends. The flanges 3 are provided with a hole, while the flanges 4 each have a threaded hole into which a clamping screw 5 is screwed. A nut 6 is also attached to the bracket 2, the threaded hole 7 of which serves to receive a support bolt. As can be seen from Fig. 2, the brackets 1, 2 are arcuate in cross section.
The concave inner surfaces therefore form an acute angle with the end surfaces. As a result, the inner edges are sharp-edged.
In the two brackets are sector-shaped plastic strips 9 and 10, z. B. made of polyester, inserted.
The ends of the two plastic strips 9, 10 lie between the flanges 3, 4 and have bores through which the clamping screws 5 reach.
In the training described, the pipe clamp is used as a sliding clamp. The plastic strips 9, 10 lying between the flanges 3, 4 thereby form spacer parts which prevent the plastic pipe to be held from being clamped immovably between the brackets 1, 2.
If the pipe clamp is to be used as a fixed clamp, the plastic straps 9, 10 must be removed. When screwing together, the two brackets 1, 2 move closer together and clamp the plastic pipe tight, the sharp inner edges penetrating the surface of the pipe and holding it immovably in the longitudinal direction.
