The invention relates to a terminal block with contact parts and fastening devices for electrical conductors.
In the previously known series terminals, the contact parts and fastening devices are designed so that the conductor ends to be fixed in the terminal are stripped, i.e. H. must be exposed, after which the fastening of the exposed conductor ends is carried out by screwing. This method requires considerable assembly work, which in the assembly of larger switchgear in which numerous terminal blocks are arranged side by side, represent a very considerable time and thus cost factor.
In another field of work, namely that of making contact with spark plug cables in motor vehicles, it has become known to provide a contact tip as a contact device for the electrical line, which is inserted into the end of the line to be contacted in a pin-like manner, approximately in the middle.
The present invention is based on the object of designing a terminal block of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it ensures rapid attachment of the conductors to be contacted.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that each contact part has a contact tip penetrating the electrical conductor and a pair of toggle levers that surrounds the contact tip and guides the conductor between them is arranged, which is designed so that it acts as a jamming block for the conductor when it is pulled out of the fastening device.
With this modular terminal, on the one hand, the insulation does not need to be stripped or the end of the conductor exposed and, on the other hand, there is no need to screw the conductor into the terminal. It is sufficient to push the conductor into the opening provided for this purpose in the terminal, whereby the pair of toggle levers between which the conductor is guided guides it slightly spreading and centering it so that the contact tip enters the conductor perfectly longitudinally. The effective blocking of the toggle lever pair in the pull-off direction of the conductor reliably prevents unintentional pulling off of the conductor, because when there is a tensile load in the pull-off direction, the toggle lever pair only increases the contact pressure.
It is particularly important here that the contact load is transferred to the outer circumference of the conductor by the rocker arm, i.e. the sensitive bare wires are freed from this load in contrast to previous embodiments. The assembly of the conductors, such as control lines, can also be carried out particularly quickly because the conductor only has to be pushed into the terminal. The penetration of the tip in the required manner and the blocking of the conductor take place automatically during this insertion.
Further preferred embodiments and configurations emerge from the subclaims. The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, which shows several exemplary embodiments of the terminal block. Show it:
Fig. 1 is a sectional view of a terminal block according to the invention,
FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the terminal block according to FIG. 1 with the conductor inserted;
3 shows a further modular terminal according to the invention in a sectional view.
The terminal blocks shown in the figures are used to connect isolated electrical lines, preferably fine-wire lines. They have a Klem menkkörpers 1, in the interior of which a needle-shaped contact tip 2 and a rail 3 connecting the two contact tips 2 are provided as contact parts.
Since the terminal blocks are constructed symmetrically, only one half is shown in the figures and only one half is described below.
In front of the contact tip 2 there is a pair of toggle levers 4 and 5 or 4a and 5a, the levers at a distance from the contact tip 2 in each of their outwardly directed side faces having recesses 6, which are tiltably mounted on pins or projections 7 of the terminal body 1 . Between the rocker arms 4 and 5 or 4a and 5a at a distance from the contact tip 2, a projection 8 is formed on one of the two rocker arms, which is tiltably mounted in a recess 6a of the other rocker arm. The conductor 9 can be pressed onto the contact tip 2 between the rocker arms 4 and 5 or 4a and 5a.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, the rocker arm 4, designed as an angle lever, is provided with a bore 10, the rocker arm 5 with a tapping 11 and the central projection 8 with a bore 12. Furthermore, the lower ends of the rocker arms 4 and 5 are held together by a clamping spring 13 in the area of the contact tip 2. If, in this arrangement, the conductor 9 is inserted through the corresponding opening in the clamp body 1 into the rocker arm pair 4 and 5, through its bores 10 and 11 and the bore 12 of the projection 8, the contact pressure generated by the clamping spring 13 engages the Rocker arm the conductor and guide or concentrate it in such a way that the contact tip 2 can safely penetrate the conductor 9 in the longitudinal center. The rocker arms 4 and 5 are in their lower, d. H. between the pivot points and the contact tip area spread out.
In the withdrawal direction of the conductor 9 from the contact tip 2, the toggle levers 4 and 5 have a blocking effect because such a pull on the conductor 9 automatically only increases the pressing force of the toggle levers 4 and 5 on the conductor 9. In the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2, pushbuttons 14 are provided for quick release of the connection, which are guided displaceably in the clamp body 1 and whose lower end rests on the upper angle arm of the rocker arm 4 inside the clamp body. This angle arm overlaps the other rocker arm 5, as the drawing shows.
By pressing the push button -14, the blocking of the conductor 9 by the toggle levers 4 and 5 can be released, so that the conductor 9 can then be pulled off the contact tip.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3, a contact tip 2 is again provided in the terminal body la, in front of which the rocker arms 4a and 5a are located, which in turn are tiltably mounted via recesses 6 and pins or projections 7 and 8 and in turn by the clamping spring 13 be held together in the lower area. In this embodiment, the rocker arm 5a is laterally provided with an upwardly projecting extension 5b, which is led out of the clamp body la as a feeler lever. By pressing the feeler lever 5b, if the conductor is to be removed from the contact tip 2, the blocking by the toggle levers 4a and 5a can be released.
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the conductor is introduced from above, while in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3 it takes place from the side. In both cases the rocker arms have the desired effect.
It goes without saying that the terminal block can be equipped with the usual additional functions, such as the creation of cross connections, the connection of measuring devices and the like.
In a modification of the exemplary embodiments described above, there is also the possibility of producing the pair of rocker arms in one piece from elastic material, pushing it onto the conductor and guiding both together into a corresponding recess in the terminal housing.
In certain applications, this solution has the advantage of simplifying handling, in particular very thin conductors.
