Fig. 1 zeigt ein Spannfutter mit Spannzange und ein darin gehaltenes Werkzeug, zur Hälfte im Mitten-Längsschnitt, zur Hälfte in Ansicht von der Seite;
Fig. 2 ein Einsatzstück mit Zentrierspitze und
Fig. 3 ein Clarkson-Fräser.
PATENTANSPRUCH

The invention relates to a chuck with collet for clamping milling tools (Clarkson type), the rear end part of which is provided with an external thread. The invention aims to create a chuck with collet in which such a milling tool is better held and centered than in chucks of the known type.
This aim can be achieved according to the invention in that the collet has a bore with an internal thread part corresponding to the external thread of the tool and that a centering tip is exchangeably attached inside the chuck in the bottom of the conical bore serving to accommodate the collet.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention:
1 shows a chuck with a collet and a tool held therein, half in a central longitudinal section, half in a view from the side;
Fig. 2 shows an insert with a center point and
3 shows a Clarkson milling cutter.
The chuck shown in Fig. 1 has mainly known parts, such as a holder 1 with a conical bore and a driver collar 2. In the holder there is a collet 3 which is provided with an internal thread 31 at its rear end of the bore. A union nut 4 clamps the collet into the bore of the chuck and holds the shank of the tool W in a central position.
In the base of the conical bore serving to receive the collet, a centering bore 11 and a threaded bore 12 running centrically thereto and having a smaller diameter are provided. An insert with a centering point is screwed into this thread and centered through the bore 11 (FIG. 2).
Fig. 2 shows such an insert with a tip 5, a cylindrical centering collar 51 and a threaded pin 52. A hexagon is worked out between the collar and the tip for screwing in and loosening so that the insert can be inserted or removed using a socket wrench.
A Clarkson milling tool W is shown in FIG. 3, the shaft W1 of which is provided with an external thread W2 at the rear end. The external thread W2 corresponds to the internal thread 31 inside the collet.
When using the collet, the procedure is to first screw the milling tool into the collet with little effort. Then you tighten the union nut firmly. The tool must not be screwed in firmly from the start, as the collet will slide a little axially into the chuck when the union nut is tightened.
PATENT CLAIM
Chuck with collet for clamping milling tools, the rear end part of which is provided with an external thread, characterized in that the collet has a bore with an internal thread part corresponding to the external thread of the tool, and that inside the chuck in the base of the conical, for receiving the collet serving hole, a centering tip is attached replaceably.
