Montre-calendrier
Calendar watch
The present invention relates to a calendar watch comprising a cam pivoted freely on the same fixed pivot as a drive wheel, this cam being provided with a pin which projects on its upper face and its lower face, the end of which lower passes through an opening of the drive wheel and the upper end of which is engaged in a sliding lever, and the arrangement of this cam being such that it performs instantaneous rotational movements under the action of a lever and a spring.
A large number of known drive mechanisms have the drawback that the date indication and that of the day change gradually over a period of several hours. Neither the date nor the day can be read correctly or corrected during this period of change, a drive finger then being engaged in the teeth of the calendar ring.
Drive mechanisms have already been proposed which ensure an instantaneous jump of the date indicator member. However, these known mechanisms only make it difficult to produce an instantaneous advance of the date indicator member and of the day indicator member and to correct the date by means of a correcting mechanism. The aim of the present invention is therefore to provide a calendar watch of the type mentioned, the drive mechanism of which is capable of simultaneously actuating the date indicator member and the day indicator member by making them pass instantaneously from one to the other. indication to the following.
For this, the watch according to the invention is characterized in that said lever has a slot engaged on a guide pin fixed to the plate, is provided with a pivoting finger on its lower side, actuated by a spring, and in this that said rocker is arranged so as to cause an abrupt rotational movement of the date ring forwards by changing the date.
The device according to the invention also makes it possible to correct the date at any time, that is to say even if the drive finger is placed between two teeth of the calendar ring.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of this embodiment, and
fig. 2, a sectional view along the line X-X of FIG. 1.
The calendar mechanism shown in the drawing comprises an hour wheel 1 which is driven by the movement. A drive wheel 3 is provided with an opening 5. It performs one revolution in 24 hours driven by an intermediate return 2. A cam 4 pivoted freely on a fixed pin which also ensures the pivoting of the wheel 3 is provided with a pin 6 which protrudes on its upper face and on its underside. The lower end of the pin 6 passes through the opening 5 while its upper end cooperates with a sliding latch 7. This latch has a slot 8 into which penetrates a guide pin 9 fixed to a base plate. The rocker extends, on the other hand, above the cam 4.
It comprises a finger F which is dimensioned so as to be able to engage in the teeth of a day star 14 integral with a days disc 15 carrying at its periphery the indications of the seven days of the week.
Pins 18, 19 and 20 are fixed to the rocker 7.
The pin 18 forms the pivot of a date finger 10. This finger is arranged so as to engage in the toothing of a calendar ring 16 which bears the dates of the month. The finger 10 is actuated under the effect of a spring 11. Although only the dates from 1 to 4 are shown in FIG. 1, it is clear that the ring 16 has the numbers from 1 to 31.
A pawl 12 is located under the ring 16 and tends to rotate counterclockwise under the action of a spring 13 engaged in a recess in the plate. The lever 12 has at one of its ends a triangular beak B, which cooperates with the cam 4. The drive mechanism described further comprises a jumper 22, the free end of which is engaged in the teeth of the ring 16 under the 'action of the spring 21 and a jumper 24 held by a spring 23 in the teeth of the star 14. The two jumpers 22 and 24 each have a triangular end, the sides of which bear in the rest position against the top of two adjacent teeth of the organ they regulate.
The drive wheel 3 drives the cam 4 which cooperates with the lever 12, so that the spring 13 is gradually armed due to the spiral shape of this cam. As the upper end of said pin 6 is engaged in an opening of the rocker 7, the latter is moved while being guided by the pin 9. Part C of finger 10 and finger F perform a closed circuit in the direction of arrows, each in 24 hours. While the cam 4 rotates in the direction of the arrow, the spring 13 is gradually charged and when the end B of the lever 12 reaches the end A of the cam 4, the part C of the finger 10 is in position D The finger F is then in position G. The lever 12 cooperating with the part A of the cam produces instantaneous rotation of the latter, the pin 6 advancing freely in the opening 5 of the wheel 3.
At this moment, part C of finger 10 is engaged in the teeth of ring 16 and produces an instantaneous advance of this ring by moving from D to E. At the same time, finger F of rocker 7 is also in taken with the teeth of the star 14 and produces an instantaneous displacement of the indicator organ of the days of
G to H. The advance of the indicating members is instantaneous.
Immediately thereafter, parts C of finger 10 and F of lever 7 are located between the teeth of the indicator members and prevent the latter from jumping two teeth instead of one.
As finger 10 is constantly actuated by spring 11, the date can be corrected at any time without damaging the mechanism, even if part C of finger 10 is housed between two teeth of ring 16.
Since the date and day indicator units are moved by instantaneous jump, the date and day can be read correctly at all times and no two indications appear at the same time in the window.
