1 ,2-Diamino-4-methylbenzol
1 ,2-Diamino-2-methylbenzol
1 ,2-Diamino-4-methoxybenzol 1 ,2-Diamino-2-methoxybenzol
1,2-Diamino-4-äthoxybenzol
1,2-Diamino-2-äthoxybenzol
1, 2-Diamino-4-nitrobenzol
1 ,2-Diamino-Naphtalin
2,3-Diamino-Naphtalin
1,8-Diamino-Naphtalin
3,4-Diamino-diphenyl
2-Merkapto-benzthiazol
2-Merkapto-6-methylbenzthiazol
2-Merkapto-6-methoxybenzthiazol
2-Merkapto-6-chlorbenzthiazol
2-Merkapto-6-nitrobenzthiazol
2-Merkapto-6-cyanbenzthiazol
2-Merkapto-6-methylsulfonylbenzthiazol
2-Merkapto-benzimidazol
2-Merkapto-benzoxazol

Process for the production of new water-insoluble perinone dyes
It was found that new valuable perinon dyes of the formula
EMI1.1
arrives, wherein Ar is an optionally substituted aromatic radical, one X is an H atom and the other is a group of the formula
EMI1.2
denotes in which A denotes an optionally substituted aryl radical, Y denotes an O or S atom or an imino group if one is a perinone of the formula
EMI1.3
wherein one Z is a halogen atom or a sulfonic acid group and the other is a halogen atom, with a mercaptan of the formula
EMI1.4
condensed.
In the haloperinones or sulfoperinones to be used as starting materials, Ar is, for example, a naphthylene or, preferably, a phenylene radical which can be substituted, for example, by alkyl, phenyl, alkoxy or nitro groups. So of particular interest are perinones of the formula
EMI1.5
where R is a hydrogen or halogen atom, an alkyl, phenyl, alkoxy or nitro group and Z has the meaning given.
These starting materials are obtained by condensation of 4-chloro, 4-bromo- or 4-sulfophthalic acid or the corresponding anhydride with an aromatic diamine whose amino groups are in o or peri position to one another, for example with o phenylenediamine
1,2-diamino-4-methylbenzene
1,2-diamino-2-methylbenzene
1,2-diamino-4-methoxybenzene 1,2-diamino-2-methoxybenzene
1,2-diamino-4-ethoxybenzene
1,2-diamino-2-ethoxybenzene
1,2-diamino-4-nitrobenzene
1,2-diamino-naphthalene
2,3-diamino-naphthalene
1,8-diamino-naphthalene
3,4-diamino-diphenyl
If you start from unsubstituted o-phenylenediamines, a mixture of the two isomeric compounds of the formula is obtained
EMI2.1
O-phenylenediamines substituted in the core lead to the reaction with 4-chloro,
-Bromo- or -Sulfophthalic acid to form mixtures consisting of 4-isomeric perinones.
2-mercaptobenzothiazoles are suitable as mercaptans, for example those of the formula
EMI2.2
wherein X1 and X2 are H or halogen atoms, alkyl or alkoxy, nitro, cyano or alkylsulfonyl groups. In addition, 2-mercapto-benzoxazoles and benzimidazoles may also be mentioned.
Examples are:
2-mercapto-benzothiazole
2-mercapto-6-methylbenzthiazole
2-mercapto-6-methoxybenzthiazole
2-mercapto-6-chlorobenzothiazole
2-mercapto-6-nitrobenzthiazole
2-mercapto-6-cyanobenzothiazole
2-Mercapto-6-methylsulfonylbenzthiazole
2-mercapto-benzimidazole
2-mercapto-benzoxazole
The reaction of the halogen or sulfopennone with the mercaptan is expediently carried out in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide or carbonate at an elevated temperature, preferably in an organic solvent, for example an alcohol, or in dimethylformamide. It is advantageous to use at least 1 mole of the alkali compound per mole of perinone.
The new dyes are excellently suited for dyeing and printing structures, especially fibers and fabrics, for example made of cellulose triacetate and polyamides, but especially made of aromatic polyesters. This gives brilliant dyeings with excellent fastness properties, in particular light fastness, sublimation fastness and rub fastness. Such dyeings are also suitable for further refinement in the permanent press process, e.g. B. the coratron method, suitable. Dyeings of the new dyes treated in this way give excellent wet and heat fastness properties.
For dyeing, the new dyes are advantageously used in finely divided form and dyeing is done with the addition of dispersants such as soap, sulfite cellulose liquor or synthetic detergents, or a combination of various wetting and dispersing agents.
As a rule, it is expedient to convert the dyes into a dye preparation before dyeing which contains a dispersant and finely divided dye in such a form that a fine dispersion is formed when the dye preparations are diluted with water. Such dye preparations can in a known manner, for. B.
by reprecipitating the dyestuff from sulfuric acid and grinding the slurry thus obtained with dinaphthylmethanedisulphonic acid, optionally also by milling the dyestuff in highly effective milling devices in dry or wet form with or without the addition of dispersants during the milling process.
In order to achieve stronger dyeings on polyethylene terephthalate fibers, it has proven to be expedient to add a swelling agent to the dye bath, or in particular to carry out the dyeing process under pressure at temperatures above 100, for example 1200.
Suitable swelling agents are aromatic carboxylic acids such as benzoic acid or salicylic acid, phenols such as o- or p-oxydiphenyl, aromatic halogen compounds such as chlorobenzene, o-dichlorobenzene or trichlorobenzene, phenylmethylcarbinol or diphenyl. When dyeing under pressure, it is advantageous to make the dyebath slightly acidic, for example by adding a weak acid, e.g. B. acetic acid.
Thanks to their alkali fastness, the new dyes are also suitable for dyeing by the so-called thermosetting process, according to which the fabric to be dyed with an aqueous dispersion of the dye, which advantageously contains 1 to 500/0 urea and a thickener, in particular sodium alginate, ent, preferably at temperatures of a maximum of 600 is impregnated and squeezed off as usual. It is expedient to squeeze in such a way that the impregnated product retains 50 to 100 o / o of its initial weight in dyeing liquid.
To fix the dye, the fabric impregnated in this way is expediently dried after prior drying, e.g. B. in a warm air stream, heated to temperatures of over 1000, for example between 180 and 2200.
The heat setting process just mentioned is of particular interest for dyeing blended fabrics made from polyester fibers and cellulose fibers, in particular cotton. In this case, in addition to the dyes according to the invention, the padding liquid also contains dyes suitable for dyeing cotton, in particular vat dyes, or reactive dyes, i.e. H.
Dyes that can be fixed on the cellulose fiber by forming a chemical bond, for example dyes. containing a chlorotriazine or chlordiazine residue. In the latter case, it proves to be expedient to add an acid-binding agent, for example an alkali metal carbonate or alkali metal phosphate, alkali metal borate or perborate or mixtures thereof to the formulating solution. When using vat dyes, the padded fabric must be treated after the heat treatment with an aqueous alkaline solution of a reducing agent commonly used in vat dyeing.
Thanks to their good wool reserve, the dyes according to the invention are also excellently suited for dyeing blended fabrics made from polyester fibers and wool.
The dyeings obtained are expediently subjected to an aftertreatment, for example by heating with an aqueous solution of an ion-free detergent.
Instead of being impregnated, the dyes can also be applied by printing. For this purpose one uses z. B. a printing ink which, in addition to the auxiliaries customary in printing, such as wetting agents and thickeners, contains the finely dispersed dye, optionally in a mixture with one of the above-mentioned cotton dyes, optionally in the presence of urea and / or an acid-binding agent.
In the following example, unless otherwise stated, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight, and the temperatures are given in degrees of celsium.
example
2.07 parts of the perinone obtained by condensation of 4-bromonaphthalic anhydride with o-phenylenediamine are heated to boiling for 30 minutes in 20 g of dimethylformamide with 1 part of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and 1.85 parts of sodium carbonate. On cooling, the dye obtained crystallizes out in brownish yellow crystals. It dyes polyester materials in brilliant, greenish yellow nuances with excellent light and sublimation properties.
The table below lists further dyes which are obtained when the perinones from 4-bromophthalic anhydride and the o-phenylenediamines mentioned in column I are heated with the azoles described in column II according to the information in this example. Column III gives the dyeings obtained on polyester fibers with these dyes.
