Procedure for self. Checking a characteristic curve of a transmission medium in telecommunications with respect to tolerance limits
The invention relates to a method for automatically checking a characteristic curve of a transmission medium in telecommunications technology with regard to tolerance limits. which, like the corresponding nominal characteristic, are dependent on a value of a current transmitted by the transmission means.
It is known to test the electrical behavior of the switching elements under such conditions and to be able to assure that Linter is in perfect condition. the switching elements to be examined individually @o to me @@ en. that they are connected on the one hand to a power source with the named properties and on the other hand to a cathode ray O-z @ llograf @ On the screen, the characteristic curve of the respective switching element appears. the between two tolerance limits went up too. This measuring method is slow and cumbersome. it is not suitable for testing large numbers of switch units.
In order to be able to carry out an automatic measurement. has already been proposed. To arrange a row of photodiodes in front of the screen, which limit the tolerance field of the curve and signal any excess of the two-dimensional tolerance limits to a control device for the purpose of appropriate sorting of the switching elements. This measuring method is only suitable for such changes in the supply current. which allow the curve to be displayed on the screen.
In addition, complex devices such as a cathode ray oscillograph, multiple photodiodes with the associated amplifiers and pulse shapers, and a larger control device are required.
The object of the invention is to show a less complex, simpler method for the automatic testing of switching means and other conditions. that works without a cathode ray O @ zillograf.
The method according to the invention solves this problem in that the current transmitted by the transmission medium to be checked is equalized in a network in the test device. that the tolerances with respect to the stated value of the current assume a constant value.
Because a network corresponding to the respective transmission means rectifies the characteristic curve created by the test object, there is no display on a screen to determine the position of this characteristic curve between the tolerance limits and any existing limit values being exceeded required, e.g. a display with a simple measuring instrument with one-dimensional skata is sufficient.
This is only possible because the tolerance limits maintain their constant value during the entire measuring process.
The procedure according to d. The invention not only allows the influence of continuously changing properties of the supply current on the switching means to be investigated. but also to record one-off processes that are difficult or impossible to display on the screen of a cathode ray oscilloscope.
For the automatic evaluation of the measurement result, according to a further development of the invention, a measuring instrument with two or more limit value indicators can be used, which determines the position of the measured analog value in a certain range.
An example of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. While FIG. I shows a circuit arrangement according to the invention. FIG. 2 shows a normal curve in the associated tolerance field caused by a switching element, and FIG. 3 shows an equalized one.
The example of the invention according to FIG. 1 represents a circuit arrangement for the automatic testing of switching elements. for example, filters or other quadrupoles. depending on the input tone frequency.
The switching element P is fed from an alternator G with a current Ul. which changes its frequency continuously from a lower to an upper limit value. The voltage U2 present at the output of the switching element is amplified in the amplifier and fed to an equalizing network E. This network has a frequency response that is approximately mirror-inverted to the frequency curve of the test object @ P and practically completely mirror-inverted to the tolerance curve.
In Fig. 2 such a non-equalized curve of a switching element is shown. The dashed lines above and below this curve indicate the limits of the tolerance field.
After the addition of the two curves of the test object and of the network E, a straight line is obtained that runs horizontally, as shown in FIG. 2 (solid line). and the tolerance limits (dashed lines) maintain a constant value during the entire frequency change.
The resulting measurement voltage U3 is fed to a measurement instrument M. This measuring instrument can be a light mark galvanometer or other device equipped with limit indicators. 1 shows a measuring instrument M with two photodiodes F1 and F2 as limit indicators @e. In the case of a different task for the test device, for example, four limit value indicators can also be provided. so that the position of the pointer in one of the areas created in this way can be used as a criterion for later sorting the switching elements. Abe @ also the fluctuation of the pointer over several ranges or limit indicators could be examined.
The illustrated measuring instrument M is set up in this way. that when the upper limit value is reached, the photo diode Fl strengthens an impulse through the '' V2 to the
Control device St emits and when the lower limit value is reached, the photodiode F2 responds.
The control device St in turn actuates a mechanical sorting device. which, according to the determined measured value or the position of the measured value within the tolerance range, actively removes the test item from its holding device and sorts it into one of the measuring groups. At the same time, each reject can be reported acoustically and visually via the line. However, a counter can also be connected. the number of checked switching elements assigned to each group is recorded in the Lauie cines Z @ ltabschnittes for statistical purposes.
The amplifier VI is combined in the described switching arrangement with the equalizing unit E to form a common structural unit. A negative feedback between the individual amplifier stages that is adapted to the curve of the switching element ensures the necessary frequency dependence. Necessary equalization. This equalization is of course only satisfactory for switching elements with the same or approximately the same curve shape. every other curve progression accordingly also requires a different equalizer network.
For this reason it is beneficial. the circuit arrangement shown to be used primarily for testing switching elements. which occur in larger numbers. The equalizer E. ggl. together with the amplifier V1, but can also be plugged in. o that the test device can also be easily modified in a very short time to adapt it to another switching element to be examined.
It is switched in this way for self-control of the flow direction. that when the lower measured value limit is exceeded for the first time, the G @ enzwertm @ lder F2 responds and the control device St unlocks. However, if the lower limit monitor F2 does not respond. then after a certain period of time the timer T switches and reports the presence of a staring of the test device or a deickten test object z. B. with winding interruption.
