B. in fein dispergierter Form vorliegen.
Beispiel 2
EMI2.2

Hair dyes
The present invention relates to a new composition for coloring hair, in particular for coloring living human hair. The hair dye is characterized by a content of at least one nitrophenylenediamine of the formula
EMI1.1
where R1 is a hydroxyalkyl group and R2 and R3 are alkyl groups.
Particularly suitable alkyl groups are those which contain 1 to 4 carbon atoms, such as. B. the methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, isopropyl, n-butyl, t-butyl group. The hydroxyalkyl groups preferably contain 2 to 4 carbon atoms, such as. B. the 2-hydroxyethyl, 2-hydroxy-1-propyl, 3-hydroxy-1-propyl, 4-hydroxybutyl, 1,3-dihydroxy-2-propyl group.
The hair colorants according to the invention can be prepared by methods known per se.
The content of dye is usually about 0.01 to 10%, preferably 0.05 to 3% of the hair dye. The dyes can e.g. B. be in finely dispersed form. Real solutions are used to advantage. As a distribution resp. Solvents are those previously used for hair dyes, such as ethanol, isopropanol, but above all water and mixtures of water and water-soluble organic solvents. If appropriate, aqueous preparations can also contain water-immiscible solvents. The pH of the hair dye is generally from 5 to 10, preferably from 8 to 9.5.
The usual auxiliaries can also be added to the hair colorants. Such substances are e.g. B. thickeners such as polyacrylic acid, methyl cellulose and bentonite, resins such as polyvinylpyrrolidone, solubilizers such as urea, thiourea and glycol ethers, substances that regulate the pH value, such as sodium carbonate, ammonia and ethanolamines, surface-active compounds such as alkylbenzenesulfonates, fatty alcohols pyridinium sulfonates and alkylphenolatesulfonates , Swelling, emulsifying and dispersing agents, antioxidants, perfume oils and hair care products. Depending on the needs of the practice, the hair dyes can be brought into various application forms in a known manner, such as. B. liquid, cream-like emulsion, washing-up liquid, shampoo, jelly, paste, hair lacquer, hair setting and sprayable preparation.
To produce natural tones, the hair dyes according to the invention can also be used with other dyes customary in hair cosmetics, e.g. B. azo and anthraquinone dyes, but especially so-called substantive nitro dyes, such as nitro-o-phenylenediamine, nitro-p-phenylenediamine, 4-nitro-2-aminophenol, are added. Mixtures of dyes according to the definition have proven to be particularly valuable. Mixtures of this type are distinguished by the fact that they produce uniform colorations in spite of different hairs and that they show practically no undesired color shifts even after repeated washing.
The hair colorants according to the invention are used by known methods. For example, they can be poured, sprayed, or applied with the help of a brush or sponge onto the hair. The contact time with the hair is not critical and in practice is about 5-30 minutes. For physiological reasons, the application temperature is less than 500 C, preferably 20-35 C.
The hair colorants according to the invention are distinguished by the fact that they are able to intensively color the hair under physiological conditions without aftertreatment, in particular without the action of oxidizing agents. The coloring process is practically independent of the type of hair, i. H. of the structural differences caused by the influence of the atmosphere, permanent deformation and bleaching agents.
The dyeings are lightfast, rubfast and, above all, washfast.
The following examples are intended to illustrate the invention without restricting it in any way.
The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius; Parts mean parts by weight.
example 1
EMI2.1
1 part of the hydrochloride of 4-diethylamino2-nitro-1- (3-hydroxypropylamino) benzene is dissolved in 40 parts of isopropanol and 150 parts of water at 50-60. With the help of monoethanolamine, the pH is adjusted to 9.0. This solution is left to act on untreated natural gray human hair for 30 minutes at 30-35. After thorough rinsing with soap and water, a deep, blue-violet color is obtained that is wash and rub-fast.
A mixture of 0.2 part of the hydrochloride of 4-diethylammo-2-nitro-1- (3'-hydroxypropylamino) benzene, 0.1 part of the hydrochloride of 4-amino-2-nitro-1 (2 ' Hydroxyäthylamino) benzene and 0.2 parts of 4-nitro-2-amino-1 - (2'-hydroxyäthylamino) benzene gives, when applied by the same method, a uniform natural brown tone. Even after repeated washing, no color shift can be detected. Coloring on untreated hair and hair treated with permanent shaping agents are practically identical.
The hydrochloride of 4-diethyiamino-2-nitro-1 - (3-hydroxypropylamino) benzene used in this example is obtained in a known manner, for example by ethylation of 4-amino-2-nitro-1 - (hydroxypropylamino) benzene . The yellow hydrochloride melts at 195 C with decomposition and is easily soluble in water and ethanol. The blue-violet base is somewhat soluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol and ethanol-water.
The absorption spectrum of the compound dissolved in ethanol-water at pH = 9 shows a maximum at 255 and 490 nm.
Example 2
EMI2.2
The following solution is prepared: 1 part of the hydrochloride of 4-dimethylamino-2-nitro-1- (2'hydroxyäthylamino) benzene, 10 parts of oxyethylated lauryl alcohol (about 20 molecules of ethylene oxide) and 80 parts of water. The solution is adjusted to pH 9 with ammonia and to 100 parts by volume with water. White human hair is treated with this dye solution for 20 minutes at 30 °. After washing and rinsing the hair, the result is a deep purple, washable and rub-fast coloring.
The 4-dimethylamino-2-nitro-1 - (2'-hydroxyethylamino) benzene hydrochloride used in this example is obtained in a known manner. The compound melts at 214-216 ° C. The absorption spectrum of the base dissolved in ethanol-water at pH = 9 shows a maximum at 496 nm.
The compounds listed in the table below are also suitable for dyeing hair by the processes mentioned in the preceding examples.
