Planing machine for the surface treatment of continuously cast special steel slabs The present invention is a planing machine for the surface treatment of continuously cast special steel slabs which have curves and other deformations in the longitudinal direction.
It is known to use standing plates such. B. to produce stainless steel plates by continuous casting and subsequent rolling, the surface was processed with consideration for surface cracks before the rolling process. Continuously cast slabs generally have wrinkles and metallurgical, hypodermic defects, which are caused by vibratory movements in the casting. Such cracks may still be present after the slabs have been rolled. For this reason, such folds and defects must be removed beforehand. Such slabs warp or warp easily over their entire length during the casting process, and different cross-sectional thicknesses can also occur. It was therefore difficult to process such slabs and to completely remove the casting skin at a high output.
For this reason, the surface cracks were usually treated separately and then the cast skin was removed by a single grinding operation. Such a surface treatment is uneconomical, since the grinding chips of the special steels cannot be recovered. As a result of the quenching treatment during the casting process, the slab is extremely susceptible to cracking, so that cracks can arise as a result of the grinding process, which appear as defects in the finished rolled stock.
The purpose of the present invention was to create a planing machine for the surface processing of continuously cast special steel slabs, the processing being adapted to the surface curvatures and other deformations of the slab in order to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned.
The planing machine to which the invention relates is one with a cross member arranged on a frame, which is equipped with tool support heads, and a longitudinally movable table set up for clamping a slab and is characterized by gauges attached to both sides of the table, the course of which reflects that of the neighboring edge of the surface to be machined on the tensioned slab, and through effective between the frame and the cross member, the cross member on both sides of the machine carrying hydraulic adjustment devices that are automatically controllable by the corresponding gauges .
An exemplary embodiment of the planing machine according to the invention is explained with the aid of the accompanying schematic drawing. 1 shows a side view of the planing machine, FIG. 2 shows a front view of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a detailed front view of a cutting steel support according to FIG. 1, FIG. 4 shows a detailed view of a cross rail according to FIG. 1 from the rear FIG. 5 shows a plan view of FIG. 4, FIG. 6 shows a section along the line VI-VI according to FIG. 4 and FIG. 7 shows a section along the line VII-VII according to FIG.
The planing machine shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a bed 3 and a table 4 which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the bed and a gate-shaped stand 5 belonging to a frame. On the stand of 5 a cross rail 7 is arranged as a cross member in verti cal direction, which is actuated by two oil pressure cylinder pistons 6, which are arranged on the stand 5. A flat cutting steel carrier 8 is arranged in such a way that it is laterally displaceable with respect to the cross rail. A side-cutting steel support 9 is firmly arranged on one of the stand side panels.
In the automatic planing machine mentioned, the cutter supports are fixed and the table can be moved. The table 4 can be moved back and forth in the longitudinal direction of the bed 3. A slab 10 to be processed is clamped firmly on the table 4 by means of support members 11 and clamping devices 12.
A gauge 14 is arranged on both sides of the table 4, which is effective in the longitudinal direction and is adjusted according to the upper side edge of the slab 10 fastened on the table. On the transverse part of the stator 5, the cross rail 7 (or the cross member) is suspended by means of the two oil pressure cylinder pistons 6 so that it can be slid back and forth in the vertical direction along the stator side parts 5 sliding tend. The rail 7 is actuated by an oil pressure control device which acts on the cylinder piston 6 and which will be described in detail later. The Öldrucksteuervorrich device for the cylinder piston 6 is used to ensure that the transverse rail 7 exerts a parallel to the upper surface of the slab following movement.
This means that an oil pressure control device behind the cross rail must be actuated by the gauge 14, an arm 16 and a wand 19. The wand must follow every curvature or bend of the two upper side cans of the slab 10, so that the cross rail via the cylinder pistons 6 and the oil pressure control device can exercise a movement parallel to the upper surface of the slab such that the distance between the cross rail and the surface mentioned is constant stay. Next, a control device and corresponding Öldrucksteuervorrichtun are arranged behind the cross rail 7 conditions to operate devices such as the flat cutting steel carrier, the cross rail and the oil pressure cylinder piston.
As FIG. 3 shows, the flat cutting steel carrier 8 is mounted on the cross rail 7 and can be moved laterally by means of a screw spindle 18. The surface-cutting steel carrier 8 has a ver sliding saddle 20 and several tool clamping heads 21, 22, 23 and 24 which are slidable on the saddle 20 in the vertical direction along the guide tracks of the cross rail 7 in the lateral direction. The cutting tools 25 and 26 for machining the upper surface of the slab are firmly clamped in the aforementioned clamping heads.
The on both sides of the tool clamping heads on the subordinate clamping heads 21 and 24 are used for processing the inclined edge zones of the Bram menoberflächen (Figure 3) and have follower devices 28, which follow the gauges 27 on the cross rail 7.
With a lateral displacement of the cutting steel carrier 8, the tool clamping heads 21 and 24 follow the corresponding gauges 27 on both sides and carry out a subsequent movement of the cutting steel carrier 8 so that the lateral surface parts of the slab 10 are given a shape adapted to the rolling process. The gauge 27 can be formed for any surface shape of the lateral end parts of a slab to be processed. The tool clamping heads 21 and 24 also have an adjusting device 30 with which the head can be moved vertically so that the initial position of the head can be moved relative to the cutting steel carrier 8.
Two cutting tools 26 are each on. fastened to one of the two central tool heads 22 and 23 and do not exert any subsequent movement relative to the cutting steel carrier 8 and are used to machine the parallel slab parts, whereby they are moved together with the cutting steel carrier 8 or the cross rail 7. Each of the tool heads 22 and 23 can be moved by hand in the vertical direction so that their starting position, relative to the cutting steel carrier, can be adjusted by means of an adjusting screw 31. The tool heads 21, 22, 23 and 24 are clamped by the clamping devices 33 on the flat cutting steel carrier 8 under the effect of the cutting forces. The lateral displacement of the cutting tools or the lateral displacement of the flat cutting steel support 8 takes place automatically via the screw spindle 18.
As FIGS. 4 and 5 show, the cross rail 7 is designed in such a way that it can be slid back and forth in the vertical direction along the guide track of the stand. The sliding movement of the cross rail 7 takes place via the control device of the oil pressure cylinder piston 6. The cross rail 7, which is suspended from the two oil pressure cylinder pistons 6 and is supported by them, is provided with a pivotable guide part 35 which touches the stand 5 on one side and with a sliding guide part 37 which is under spring action. Next, the cross rail has two guide parts 45 and 46 which, under the action of springs, touch the rear surfaces of the stands.
As a result, the cross rail 7 can be slid along the stand 5, according to the displacement of the oil pressure cylinder piston 6, moved and pivoted. The guide part 35 is mounted on the cross rail 7 about a bolt 36 pivotable ge.
As FIG. 6 shows, the guide part 37 has an adjusting screw 41 which is screwed into a projection 38 of the cross rail 7, as well as a sliding plate 43 which is pressed against the guide surface of this stand by means of disk springs 42. The disk springs 42 are arranged in front of the front end of the adjusting screw 41 so that their pressure force with the adjusting screw 41 can be adjusted. As a result, the force acting on the stand in the direction of the side surface of the cross rail is absorbed by the pivotable guide part 35 and the guide part 37, so that the cross rail 7 can be displaced and pivoted in the vertical direction along the stand.
As FIG. 7 shows, the cross rail 7 is provided with two sets of metallic guide parts 45 and 46, which are of identical design. Each of these guide parts 45 and 46 has a screw 47 screwed into the cross rail, disc springs 48 and a guide plate 49, which springs under the action of the discs 48 against the guide surface of the stand 5 is pressed. The spring force of the disc springs 48 is adjustable by means of a nut screwed onto the screw 47. Therefore, a force acting in the direction of the front surface of the cross rail 7 is absorbed by the stand 5 through the guide parts 45 and 46, so that the cross rail 7 can be displaced in the vertical direction along the stand.
By arranging the guide parts 35, 37, 45 and 46, the cross rail 7 can be displaced vertically in accordance with a displacement of the oil pressure cylinder piston 6 such that it is always displaced in the longitudinal direction parallel to the curvatures of the upper surface of the slab 10.
As FIGS. 1 and 2 show, a side cutting steel support 9 is arranged on the lower part of a stand 5 of the gate-shaped stand, and this has its own displacement device with which it can be displaced horizontally and vertically. The mode of operation of such an automatic planing machine is as follows:
The special steel slab 10, on which the cast skin is to be removed, is placed at least approximately hori zontal on the support members 11 of the table 4 and clamped on the table 4 with the jigs 12 of the kind that the side surfaces of the slab parallel to those of the table run away. In this case, no jig may be arranged on the slab side surface from which the cast skin is to be removed or which faces the side cutting steel carrier 9. Then the casting skin is first removed on one side of the slab 10 during a forward movement in the longitudinal direction of the table until the black casting skin is completely removed.
After the casting skin has been removed on the side of the slab facing the side cutting steel support 9, the clamping devices are also arranged on this side in order to fasten the slab more firmly to the table. The gauges 14, which follow the longitudinal movement of the table 4, are set in such a way that they match the upper side edges of the slab, then the table 4 is displaced in such a way that the front end of the slab comes to lie under the cross rail 7. The cross rail is set parallel to the slab. At the same time, the rollers 17 of the arms 16 are set to actuate the scanning needles.
