Construction element The present invention relates to a construction element comprising a main metal panel formed from a metal sheet mounted on a stiffening frame, intended to close an opening of corresponding general shape.
The construction element according to the invention is characterized by the fact that it comprises at least one elementary metal panel intended to be fixed in an adjustable manner to the main panel as an extension thereof, the metal sheet of the elementary panel being slid between the sheet of the main panel and its stiffening frame, the fixing of the elementary panel to the main panel being done using at least one flat iron provided with a longitudinal oblong opening, this flat iron being fixed by the 'one of its ends to the elementary panel, at least one fixing element (bolt or screw) enabling the flat iron to be clamped against the stiffening frame by engaging in the oblong opening of the flat iron.
The appended drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the construction element according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of an opening such as, for example, a garage opening closed by a tilting door or the like.
Fig. 2 is a view on an enlarged scale, in section along II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a view to scale corresponding to that of FIG. 2, showing the rear face of the door in two fragments, the lower or upper part and an intermediate part.
This construction element, also called bar- dage, is therefore intended to be used as a closing panel, for example as a garage door or as a wall closing element, for example in a metal frame, in reinforced concrete or in wood. , or as a shuttering panel. With reference to FIG. 1 is shown an opening 1 in the wall 2 of a garage, this opening being intended to be closed by a tilting door 3.
This up-and-over door 3 is in fact constituted by the claimed construction element which comprises a main metal panel 4 formed of a metal sheet 5 mounted on a stiffening frame 6 established on the corner angles 7. This stiffening frame 6 can be reinforced by intermediate ribs, or tie rods, not shown in the drawing.
On its visible external face, the main panel 4 is preferably formed with two ribs 8 terminating its lateral ends. These ribs 8 are obtained by folding back the sheet of metal sheet 5, or commercial profi le sheets. The purpose of these ribs 8 is first of all to increase the rigidity of the panel, while making it possible to obtain a pleasant aesthetic effect. When such a panel 4, of standardized dimensions for its mass production, must be mounted in an opening 1 of somewhat larger dimensions, provision is made to increase the area of the main panel 4 by means of at least one elementary metal panel 9 intended to be fixed in an adjustable manner to the main panel 4 to allow the latter to be enlarged.
This elementary panel 9 also comprises an edge 10 provided with a rib 11 obtained by folding back the sheet of metal sheet 12 making up this elementary panel.
The fixing of this elementary panel 9 to the main panel 4 is done by sliding the sheet of metal sheet 12 between the sheet 5 and the angle iron 7 of the corresponding edge of the panel 4. The elementary panel 9 is provided with a flat iron 13 fixed. , for example, using a rivet or a bolt 14 to the angle iron 7 constituting a stiffening part of the elementary panel 9. This flat iron 13 is provided with an oblong opening 15. Holes 16 are drilled in the angle iron 7 constituting the base of the stiffening frame 6 of the main panel 4. It is possible to press the flat iron 13 against this angle iron 7 using screws or bolts 17 engaged in the oblong opening 15 flat iron 13, as well as through holes 16 of angle iron 7.
This flat iron 13 is therefore fixed to the angle iron 7 perpendicular to the general plane of the panel 4. The oblong opening 15 therefore allows exact adjustment of the elementary panel 9 with respect to the main panel 4. A flat iron bent at an angle 18 is also fixed to the outside of the angle iron 7 limiting the panel 4 on its lateral side in order to allow this angle iron 18 to be fixed again using a bolt 17 against the flat iron 13.
Preferably, the construction described above is applied to the lower corner of the building element. A similar construction can be applied to the upper corner thereof. However, it is also possible, for reasons of standardization of construction, to mass produce the elementary panels 9 without providing them with any parts at their ends opposite to that to which the flat iron 13 is fixed, so as to be able to cut these elementary panels 9 to the desired length during their assembly.
It is then sufficient to fix at the unfinished end of the elementary panel 9 a square iron 18 as shown at the top of FIG. 3, a flat iron 13 also provided with an oblong opening 15 being bolted at 19 against the corresponding angle iron 7 of the main panel. The flat iron 13 is then cut to the length resulting from the adjustment of the elementary panel 9 against the main panel 4. This assembly variant is applicable to the fixing of the intermediate part or parts of the elementary panels, as shown at the top of fig. 3.
The construction element described above therefore not only makes it possible to adapt panels such as the main panel 4 in width to an opening 1 of particular non-standardized dimensions, but also allows this main panel 4 to be adapted to the height. of the particular opening 1 by adding elementary panels to the top or bottom of the main panel 4. These elementary panels also make it possible to adjust the squareness of the main panel 4 with respect to the opening 1.
