7 in Pfeilrichtung gegeneinander verschwenkbaren Klappen 8, 9 besteht.
(Fig. 4).
Device for folding in film tubes
In the known machines for producing filled bags, the finished bags, provided the starting material is processed in film form, have two welding or sealing seams in the transverse direction and one seam in the longitudinal direction. The transverse seams are created by welding or sealing jaws in such a way that they act on the film tube from both sides and connect the two film halves to one another under pressure and temperature.
Bags produced in this way have the disadvantage that they lack a standing surface, so that on the one hand they lack stability and on the other hand do not allow stacking in an upright position.
The present invention is based on the object of eliminating this inadequacy and of finding a way of providing bags with bases which ensure the stability. According to the invention, this aim is achieved in that two folding angles, which are displaceable transversely to the direction of advance of the film tube and execute a movement in opposite directions, are provided, each of which consists of two flaps arranged in mirror image to one another and pivotable against one another, the end faces of which run inclined to the respective side of the tube section.
It has proven to be useful to fix the flaps, which can also be formed by a frame, in the rest or starting position so that they enclose an acute angle with one another, and also to dimension the extent of the pivoting so that they after the pivoting process lie at least approximately in one plane. The jaws for the transverse weld can therefore serve as an abutment and / or limit for the flaps.
Further details are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which illustrates an example embodiment of the invention.
Show it:
1 shows a perspective illustration of the device part consisting of the flaps, the transverse welding hooks and the film tube,
Fig. 2 the same device as Fig. 1, but in one
3 and 4 another phase of the sequence of movements of the folding tools,
5 shows the front view of a folding bracket with a guide track assigned to it,
6 shows the side view of the folding angle according to FIG. 5, partially cut, (section AB)
FIG. 7 shows the top view of the folding angle according to FIG. 6.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1-4, each end face 1, 2 of the film tube 3 with a rectangular cross-section is assigned a folding angle 4, 5, each of which consists of two flaps 8, 9 which can be pivoted relative to one another about an axis 6 or 7 in the direction of the arrow .
The mechanism for pivoting the two flaps basically comprises a push rod 10 which articulately engages a rigid bracket 11 which is combined with a rotatably mounted axis 12. At one end of the angle 11, two links 13 are articulated, which are attached to the flaps 8, 9. If the push rod 10 moves in the direction of the arrow, then the axis 12 rotates through an angle corresponding to the extent of this deflection. This also opens or closes the links 13 in the sense of a corresponding change in the included angle by which the position of the flaps 8, 9 is determined. For the sake of clarity, the pivoting mechanism provided for both folding angles is only shown in connection with the folding angle 5.
The device for advancing the folding angle in the direction perpendicular to the end faces 1, 2 of the film tube basically consists of a push rod 14 which acts on a rigid angle 16 which can be rotated about a vertical axis 15 and which is coupled to the axially displaceable push rod via a link 17 This device is only indicated once, specifically in connection with the folding angle 4.
With 18 the cross welding jaws are designated, which are expediently combined with a separating device.
The timing of the folding process is as follows:
After the tube 3 has been advanced by the intended amount, each folding angle 8 begins to move towards the end face 1 of the film tube assigned to it; that is, the two folding angles move in opposite directions. The extent of this feed movement depends on the required depth of penetration of the folding angle into the relevant sides of the film tube.
During the movement of the folding angles, the two welding jaws 18 also begin to move towards one another. After the end of the advancing movement of the folding angles, the two flaps 8 are pivoted against each other until they each come to rest on one of the welding jaws 18 that has meanwhile reached the closed or welded position. However, this edition is not necessary for the folding function.
When the two flaps are pivoted out, the two triangular bottom parts of the hose section are formed. This is followed by the transverse welding or the sealing and the separation of the bags (FIG. 3). So that a seam running perpendicular to the bottom plane of the bag is not produced, the two welding jaws are jointly moved a little further so that the comb 19 of the bag containing the seam is pressed over. (Fig. 4). By applying additional pressure of a corresponding size to the two flaps of the folding angle, with one of the two sealing jaws serving as an abutment, the folded comb can be welded or sealed to the bottom of the bag with the help of the welding jaw, which is also heated on its upper side.
In particular, there will be a sealed or welded seam in the area of the directly acting pressure surfaces.
After the bottom of the bag has been produced, including closing it in the manner described above, the filling process is initiated.
A structural design of the folding angle including the guides, which has proven itself, is shown in FIGS. 5-7.
Here, the two flaps 8, 9 of the folding bracket are each combined with a holder 20 which has bolts 21, 22 on which ball bearings 23, 24 are placed.
The bearing rollers run in guide tracks 25, 26 which are recessed in the cam piece 27.
The flaps of the folding angles can also be under the action of a restoring force in the form of a spring or the like, which must first be overcome before being pivoted out. For this purpose, special actuating elements, such as pivot levers or the like, can be provided, which are controlled, for example, depending on the position of the welding jaws.
In certain cases it can also be advantageous to arrange the flaps in such a way that they enclose an angle greater than 900 with one another in the rest position.
