Fig. 2 zeigt den Schnitt mit einer Nockenverriegelung.
Compressed air coupling with shut-off device The invention relates to a compressed air coupling with a shut-off device. This consists of a coupling part and an insertable, lockable and detachable connection piece. The coupling part contains a spring-loaded check valve which, when the coupling is open, blocks the outlet of the compressed air from the coupling part. By inserting the connecting piece, the non-return valve is opened and thus the passage of compressed air to the connecting piece is released.
Such compressed air couplings are known per se. Your construction is complicated and expensive to manufacture. The present invention relates to a coupling consisting of a few and simple parts. These should be suitable for mass production. Their production should mainly be automatic turning. Unavoidable milling and drilling work should be kept to a minimum.
The invention consists in that the coupling part has a continuous cylindrical bore as a guide for the connection piece and the check valve in its closed position and that the check valve has cylinder stages, of which the first stage has a smaller diameter than the bore of the connection piece, the second Stage has a smaller diameter than the bore of the coupling part,
the third stage with sliding play fits into the cylindrical bore of the coupling part and the fourth stage is designed with guide play opposite a larger bore in the coupling part and the cylinder surface is interrupted by axially parallel air ducts.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to two examples of execution.
Fig. 1 shows the section through a coupling with a groove lock. Fig. 2 shows the section with a cam lock. In FIG. 1, 1 is the coupling part into which the connector 3 can be screwed. This is used to establish the connection with the incoming compressed air line. 2 is the connecting piece to which the outgoing compressed air line is screwed by means of the thread 2a. The coupling part 1 has a continuous cylindrical bore 4.
This expands to a larger bore 5, which merges into the thread 5a at the coupling end. The connecting piece 3, which is connected to the supply line for the compressed air, is screwed into the thread 5a. The connecting piece 2 can be plugged into the cylindrical bore 4 with the shaft 6. The connection piece has the bore 7. The nozzle tapers towards the mouthpiece 6a, which has holes 6b. Via this, the compressed air flows in from the space of the bore 5 into the bore 7.
The bore 5 also serves as an additional guide for the check valve B. The check valve is essentially a rotating body, which has an individual cylinder stages 8a ... 8d. The first step 8a has a smaller diameter than the bore 7 of the connecting piece. The second step 8b has a smaller diameter than the bore 4 of the coupling part. The diameter is expediently equal to the diameter of the ver younger mouthpiece 6a. The third stage 8c fits into the cylindrical bore 4 with sliding play. The fourth stage 8d is designed with guide play opposite the larger bore 5 in the coupling piece.
The check valve is given two axially offset loose guides and is thus secured against any tilting or jamming. The cylinder surface of the fourth stage is also interrupted by let-in, axially parallel air passage channels 9. The cylinder area of step 8d is reduced to individual guide ribs, which is sufficient for the sliding guide. A spring 10 presses against the end face 8e. This spring is supported in the bore 3a of the connection piece 3. It is used to close the check valve 8 when the connector is pulled out.
The cone transition surface 8k of the check valve then rests under pressure on the cone transition surface 45 of the coupling piece. Since the outflow of compressed air from the enlarged bore 5 is blocked. To improve the sealing of this metal-to-metal closure, an additional ring seal is available; for this purpose, a groove 11 is provided in the wall of the bore 4, in which a sealing ring 12 is inserted. This consists of an ela-elastic material such. B. made of rubber or a plastic.
The inner diameter of this sealing ring is slightly smaller than the cylinder stage 8e. When the non-return valve is closed, the groove 11 is covered by the cylinder surface of the stage 8c, and at the same time the sealing ring is slightly compressed. This creates the additional fine seal. In a corresponding manner, a sliding ring seal is also provided for sealing the inserted connecting piece 2, consisting of the sealing ring 14 in the groove 13.
To lock the inserted connecting piece, a spring wire 15 is inserted into the wall of the cylindrical bore in a cutout 17 of the coupling part, the end 15a of which is firmly inserted (FIG. 4). A segment surface 4a of the bore 4 is covered by this spring wire. At this point, the plugged-in connection piece has a circumferential groove 16. When the connector is inserted, the tapered mouthpiece 6a slides under the spring wire so that it is raised.
When it is pushed further, the connecting piece opens the check valve, whereupon the compressed air flows from the space of the bore 5 through the opening 6b into the bore 7. Finally, the spring wire 15 snaps into the groove 16 and thus locks the connecting piece.
The cutout 17 of the coupling part is covered by a ring 18 which can be rotated around the coupling part. A cam 19 is screwed onto the inside of the ring. This is done in a Ver broadening 17a of the cutout. The cam 19 is also in engagement with the free end 15b of the spring wire, such that when the ring is rotated in the direction of the arrow, the cam lifts the spring wire out of the groove 16. As a result, the locking of the inserted connecting piece 6 is released, and this can be pulled out of the coupling part. At the same time, the lifted check valve B closes.
The cylindrical bore in the coupling piece gives the possibility of locking by twisting the connecting piece (Fig. 2 and 5). For this purpose, the shank of the connecting piece has lateral cams 21. Furthermore, the bore of the coupling part has an enlarged bore 22 with a threaded part 22a. In this Ge threaded part 22a, a closure piece 23 is screwed. This has a bore 24 with two lateral cutouts 25 so that the connection piece with the lateral cams 21 can be plugged through.
The inwardly lying end face of the locking piece has two cam cups 25a, which are turned 90 away from the lateral cutouts 25. In the bore 22 there is the disk 26 which presses against the cams by means of the compression spring 27. As a result, the cams of the plugged in and then rotated 90 pans are pressed into the cams and held therein, secured against rotation.
To release the coupling again, the connector is first pushed in a little and thereby the cams are lifted out of the sockets, whereupon the cams can be returned to the cut-outs 25 by turning 90 and the connection stub can be pulled out again.
Compared to known designs, the compressed air coupling has the advantage of great simplicity. The production of the parts mainly requires turning work, which enables relatively cheap working methods with the highest precision. The bore 4 serves both for guiding the connection piece and for receiving the check valve B.
The use of a rotating ring to release the lock provides a high level of security against accidental release of the coupling. The locking with spring wire also makes it possible to rotate the coupling parts against each other in the assembled state without additional means being necessary. The use of cams on the connection piece also results in a high level of security against accidental loosening, since for loosening an additional pushing in of the connection piece and then turning of the coupling pieces is required. Accidental loosening of the clutch is practically impossible, so that accidents are almost entirely impossible.
The plugged-in connection piece can be locked in a particularly simple manner using two ring springs (FIGS. 6 and 7). The hitch part has a turned groove 37 for this purpose. The groove is deepened at one point by an additional cutout in such a way that the wall of the bore 4 is broken through. The ring spring 35 is inserted into the groove. The ring spring has the straight part 35a, which is located in an additional cutout and thereby covers a segment of the bore. At this point, the inserted connecting piece has the groove 16.
The straight part 35a of the ring spring snaps into this groove and thus locks the connecting piece.
To release the clutch, the spring end 35a must be lifted. For this purpose, another ring spring 39 and the ring 38 is provided. The ring has the recess 40 into which the spring 39 is inserted. The bent end 39a protrudes through a hole 41 into the groove 37 and thus comes into engagement with the spring end 35a. If the ring 38 is rotated counterclockwise, the straight spring part 35a is lifted off by the spring end 39a and thus simultaneously lifted out of the groove 16 of the connecting piece. The ring 38 is guided on the coupling part by the spring end 39a.
This type of locking by means of two ring springs is simple and highly reliable. The necessary operations for their production are the bending of two ring springs, simple turning work and drilling a hole.
