Diaphragm valve The invention relates to a diaphragm valve, the sleeve-shaped diaphragm being made of elastic material and being combined with a likewise elastic core body, and the diaphragm leaving a flow channel around the core body free in the open state.
The invention makes it possible to create a valve of this type in which the active part of the membrane is very elastic, so that the membrane can be pressed against the core body by a slight force in order to block the flow of liquid or gas.
According to the invention, the membrane is connected to the hollow core body by longitudinal ribs. Since in this embodiment the sleeve-shaped membrane is supported by the connecting ribs and these ribs can be relatively stiff, the membrane itself can be made thin and therefore easily deformable. You can also now use a simple cylindri cal one-piece housing, since you can compress the membrane in order to be able to push it into this from one end of the housing. If desired, after a set of the membrane, the hollow core body can be provided with a filling.
In the drawing, in which three exemplary embodiments of the valve according to the invention are shown: FIGS. 1 and 2 show a longitudinal section or a cross section of a valve with a one-piece housing, FIG. 3 / B> and 4 corresponding sections of a valve, wherein the housing consists of a separate middle piece with attached end pieces, and Fig. 5 and 6 corresponding sections, As in Fig. 1 and 2, but a modified version.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the housing consists of a simple cylindrical pipe section 1, on which connection flanges 2 are arranged.
The sleeve-shaped membrane 3 made of elastic material is united by longitudinal ribs 4 with an elastic core body 5 , which is hollow and whose cavity is open at the inflow end of the housing.
The housing has a connection 6 for admitting a pressure medium into the housing in a space 8 around the membrane, whereby the membrane is pressed against the core body and the one arranged around the latter, Flow channel consisting of six individual channels is closed.
At both ends, the membrane has a collar 7 which engages in a correspondingly shaped groove on the inner edge of one or the other housing flange.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the membrane 3 is significantly shorter than the core body 5, and it engages with a collar 7 in grooves in the middle piece 8 of the housing. The two end pieces 10 of the housing are clamped to the middle piece 8 by bolts 9 . The core body 5 has a head 11 provided with a channel 12 on the inflow side of the housing
In the ribs 4 there are radial channels 13 which connect the cavity of the core body 5 with a space on the outside of the membrane 3 . Since the presence of the channel 12 means that the pressure on the inflow side of the housing will prevail in the hollow body 5 , this pressure also reaches the outside of the membrane through the channels 13 3, and when the control valve 15 present in the pipe 14 is closed, this pressure will also prevail on the outside of the membrane.
Since this pressure is greater than the pressure on the inside of the membrane, the latter will press against the core body and therefore the valve will close itself. If the valve 15 is brought into an intermediate position, the membrane seeks the equilibrium position corresponding to this position, so that the passage of the valve can be regulated with the aid of valve 15 .
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, which mainly coincides with that according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the cavity of the core body is < B> 5 open on both sides and an elastic tube 16 is arranged in this cavity. The cavity of the core body 5 is here also formed by one or more, in the case shown two, channels 13 with a space on the outside of the membrane 3 connected.
The pressure medium supplied at 6 will then also flow into the cavity of the core body 5 around the tube 16 , so that when the valve is closed, the Tube 16 is gradually pressed tight and the flow of liquid is gradually interrupted and the valve is prevented from hitting.
Since in the valve according to the invention the flow channel between the core body and the mine is divided into sub-channels by the ribs (4), the design can be made so that the channels are separated, e.g. B. can be closed by mechanically pressed pressure pieces or by bellows.
The membrane and the core body can be made of rubber or an elastic plastic as a whole in a die, but both parts can also be obtained separately and then attached to one another.
Finally, it should be noted that in the case of the valve according to the invention, the membrane around the core body can release a passage opening which, for example, is at least the same as the inflow opening of the housing, without it being necessary to construct a three-part housing according to FIG. B> to use.
