B. in Í1 gebackene Kartoffelscheiben, sog.
Device for filling bulky, pourable material
The invention relates to a device for filling bulky, pourable goods, in particular French fries chips, on a packaging machine, in which a bag tube is formed from an endlessly tapering web of material around a shaped tube, in which behind the shaped tube by movable welding jaws at predetermined intervals Cross seams are welded for the purpose of forming individual bags, which are each filled during the pulling movement of a corresponding piece of hose from the shaped tube through the shaped tube.
Packaging machines of the type mentioned have proven themselves well when the goods to be packaged in bags are powdery or granular and consequently trickle into the bags from a metering device through the vertically arranged hollow shaped tube. However, if bulky objects of unequal shape and size, such as.
B. in Í1 baked potato slices, so-called. French chips are automatically packed in bags with such a machine, difficulties often arise because these objects can get jammed in the hollow tube or simply do not get into the bag quickly enough under the influence of gravity . In addition, depending on the position of the individual slices in relation to one another, a certain, dosed amount of the French chips takes up a very different amount of space in the bag. This is also undesirable since one does not want to make the bags unnecessarily large for a certain filling quantity.
It therefore seems advisable not to fill the chips using their gravity alone, but to act on them with an additional force without breaking them, on the one hand to avoid jamming in the filling device and on the other hand to slightly compress them in the bags to reach.
According to the invention, a suction device for the goods to be filled is provided on the molded tube, as well as control means for limiting the time of suction to the period of time during which a cross seam is welded by the welding jaws on the bag tube.
It is already known to provide suction devices in packaging machines, but these are only used to suck up dust and not to promote the filling material and the suction takes place continuously and not at controlled time intervals.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in a schematic representation.
1 shows a view of a filling device for bulky, pourable material, with a suction device, on the shaped tube of a packaging machine and
FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the shaped tube with intake duct along line II-II in FIG. 1.
A shaped shoulder 3 is attached in a known manner to a hollow, vertically arranged shaped tube 1 of the packaging machine, which serves to feed an endless bag tube 6 around the shaped tube 1 from a packaging material strip 5 of thermoplastic material or the like running endlessly from a supply roll 4 form. The longitudinal seam of the hose 6 is welded by heated welding rollers 7 or similar means.
Below the lower end of the molded tube. Res 1, heated pairs of welding jaws 8 are arranged along the tube axis and can move relative to one another. When they move towards one another, these squeeze the hose 6 at the point of attack and weld a cross seam. During the welding process, the welding jaws 8 move from position A to position B and pull a piece of the hose 6 off the shaped tube 1.
Then the welding jaws 8 are moved apart from the hose and returned to position A, in which they are again moved against one another in order to weld a new transverse seam. It can also in a known manner, for. B. two pairs of welding jaws can be provided, one of which alternately welds a transverse seam and pulls off the hose, while the other runs back into the starting position A.
During the welding of the transverse seam and the removal of the tube piece, a certain amount of chips is introduced into the hopper 2 of the shaped tube 1 from a metering device (not shown). These then fall through the shaped tube into the tubular bag 6 which is formed when the transverse seam is welded and which is then closed at point A by welding the next transverse seam. In the further course of the work process, the tube 6 is then cut through in the transverse seams, so that the individual closed bags are created.
In order to prevent individual french fries from getting stuck in the funnel 2 or in the molding tube 1 when filling, and to accelerate the filling process of the bag, a suction device is arranged on the molding tube 1. This includes a suction blower 9, which is connected to the molded tube via a line 10 above the molded shoulder 2. In the interior of the shaped tube 1, as shown in FIG. 2, a suction channel 12 is formed by means of an insert plate 11 which is arcuate in cross section and which is connected to the line 10.
The insert sheet 11 extends close to the lower end of the shaped tube 1, so that this is under the influence of the suction air flow over its entire length.
It is essential that the suction air in the forming tube 1 is only effective when a piece of tubing is held by welding jaws 8 and pulled off the forming tube 1, as otherwise there would be a risk that the suction air flow could pull it into the forming tube from below .
In order to avoid this, a fast-acting valve 13 is arranged in the suction air line 10, the valve head 14 of which is controlled in the cycle of the cross-seam welding processes in such a way that it only operates during the period in which the welding jaws move from A to B and a Pull off the tubular bag from the shaped tube 1, closing the opening 13a, but opening it for the rest of the time so that the fan 9 sucks in air from the environment and not through the suction channel 12. The valve 13, 14 can be controlled in a known manner z. B. be done pneumatically or electrically.
