Driver's brake valve for compressed air-braked rail vehicles The invention relates to a driver's brake valve for compressed-air-braked rail vehicles, the actuating lever of which opens inlet and outlet valves provided for increasing or decreasing a control pressure, which opening movements include a piston loaded by the control pressure and a spring-loaded piston for the purpose of valve closure follows.
In the case of this type of driver's brake valve, it was previously necessary to provide special compressed air paths and valve devices to monitor them in order to generate the so-called filling surge, that is to say an overpressure wave which facilitates releasing the brake and exceeds the highest control pressure.
It is the object of the invention to avoid these special flow paths and monitoring devices for generating the fill level in a guide brake valve of the type described, and to open the fill level using as far as possible the means listed at the beginning which are required for the release process without a fill level effect. According to the invention, this object is to be achieved in that in the driver's burner valve acting as a stop are provided with tel,
which limit the follow-up path of the one hand acted upon by the regulating pressure and the other hand spring-loaded piston in one direction in such a way that while the actuating lever remains in the filling position the inlet valve provided for increasing the regulating pressure remains open.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of a driver's brake valve according to the invention is shown in a schematic manner.
According to this illustration, the driver's brake valve has a cylindrical part 1 which is mounted in a housing part 3 such that it can be rotated and axially displaced with the help of conventional means and is sealed against the passage of compressed air.
This cylindrical part 1 carries a handle 5 to be operated by the locomotive driver as it moves, and with it part 1 Pivoted by an angular amount, this rotary movement is advanced by the engagement of a stone 7 fastened on the housing part 3 into one on part 1 The curved groove 9 seen in a stroke movement of the part 1 of a corresponding size. The cylindrical part 1 is provided in the manner shown in the drawing with a cavity 11 , in which one is loaded by a spring 13 Valve plate 15 is located.
This valve plate is pressed by the spring 13 onto a valve seat 17 , which is also partially 1 heard. An opening 19 lies opposite an annular housing extension 21 in all stroke positions, to which the main air tank 23 located on the locomotive and supplied with compressed air by a compressor (not shown) is connected by means of a line 25 is connected.
In the housing part 3 with a larger diameter than the housing part 26 of the housing, a piston 27 is slidably mounted, its upper one in the drawing The surface is subjected to the respective pressure in the main air line 29 which extends over the length of the train and which opens into the space 30 . The lower side of the piston is influenced by a spring 31 , the preload of which can be adjusted by a manually axially adjustable abutment 33 .
The spring 31 is located in space 35 of the housing part 26 which space has an opening 37 with is connected to the outside air. The piston 27 carries, in the manner evident from the drawing, a tubular extension 39, its upper end in the drawing as a seat 41 for the valve plate 15 </ B > serves. The two seats 17 and 41 for the valve plate are concentric to one another.
The path of the piston 27 extending downward in the drawing is limited by a stop 43, which is the means for enabling the operating lever 5 to remain in the filling position for a long time dependent high pressure filling surge forms.
The mode of operation of the driver's brake valve described is as follows: The maximum control pressure of 5 atü that is required for the main air line 29 in the unbraked driving state is determined by the correct choice of preload the spring 31 loading the piston 27 is set.
In the unbraked state, according to the associated position of the actuating lever 5 , the cylindrical part 1 is in such an axial position that when pressing 5 </ B> atü in the main air line the valve plate 15 rests both on the seat 17 and on the seat 41, so that the inlet and outlet of the main air line are closed.
The piston 2.7 is thereby on the one hand due to the overpressure of 5 atü prevailing in space 30 and as a result of the load from the pretensioned spring 31 on the other hand, held in its correct position in the housing part 26 '. Does it come e.g. As a result of leaks in the brake system, the pressure in the main air line 29 and thus also in space 30 drop, so the piston 27 moves under the influence of the spring 31 upwards, whereby the valve plate 15 is lifted off the seat 17 , on the seat.
41 but remains under the load of the feet of 13 . When the seat 17 is lifted off, compressed air can flow from the main air reservoir 23 , which normally has an overpressure of 8 atmospheric pressure, through line 25 , the housing extension 21, the opening 19 and the room 11 to room 30 and on to the main air duct 29 < / B> flow until the pressure increase in line 29 and in space 30 the piston 27 cause the force the spring 31 forces it back into the position
in which, in addition to the outlet seat 41, the inlet seat 17 is also closed again by the valve plate 15 . An increase in the pressure in the main line 29 beyond the setpoint pressure of 5 atm would result in such a movement of the piston 27 in the direction of the stop 43 have that the valve plate 15 lifts itself off the outlet seat 41 while resting on the inlet seat 17 , so that the excessively high line pressure through the pipe socket 39 </ B > and removes the outlet opening 37 for as long as
until the spring 31 adjusted to the target pressure by means of the counter bearing 33 moves the piston 27 again into the position in which the inlet and outlet pass the valve plate 15 are closed. In the unbraked driving position, the driver's brake valve described, which acts as a pressure regulator, ensures the automatic maintenance of the control pressure of 5 atm in the main air line 29.
To carry out braking, the engine driver actuates the lever 5 in such a way that the cylindrical part 1 through the interaction of the sliding block 7 with the Curved groove 9 performs an upward movement in the drawing, in which the valve plate 15 remains lying on the inlet seat 17 of the outlet seat 41 of the piston < B> 27 is lifted.
Compressed air flows through the open outlet seat 41 from the main air line 29 into the room 35 and further through the outlet opening 37 into the open. This pressure reduction in the main air line 29 causes the brakes on the individual wagons of the train to be activated in a manner which is known and therefore cannot be described.
In addition, the pressure reduction in the line 29 and thus also in the space 30 of the housing 26 causes the piston 27 below the The action of the spring 31 leads to a follow-up movement in relation to the advancing valve plate 15, whereby the path of the piston up to the stop of the seat 41 on the valve plate 15 < / B> is the smaller, the smaller the previous stroke movement of part 1 was.
With the renewed closure of the outlet when the seat 41 hits the valve plate 15 , the pressure reduction in the main air line 29 comes to an end, whereby the desired braking level is set and maintained becomes.
For the purpose of releasing the brake, part 1 executes an axial movement downward in the drawing, whereby it is due to the support of valve plate 15 on seat 41 of the piston, which is initially still at rest 27 comes to a lifting of the plate 15 from the inlet seat 17 . Via this inlet, compressed air flows from the container 23 to the room 30 and on to the main air line 29 with the result that the brake of the train is also known Way is resolved again. The size of the release stage also depends on the extent of the axial movement of the part 1 .
The smaller this movement turns out, the smaller the path after which the valve plate 15 which is under the load of the spring 13 together with the follower piston 27 is moved downwards under the increasing pressure, reaches the inlet seat 17 again and thus interrupts the further increase in pressure in the main air line. Finally, the brake is fully released without the piston 27 having reached the lug 43.
However, if the brake is to be released with filling, the actuating lever 5 is rotated by such a large angular amount, and thus part 1 while opening the inlet seat 17 is moved so far down that the pressure in the main air line 29 or in space 30 against the force of the spring 31 < / B> the following piston 27 , the spring-loaded valve plate 15 rests on its tubular extension (seat 41), comes to rest at the stop 43 before the plate 15 has reached the inlet seat 17 again.
The consequence of this is that the compressed air, which has an overpressure of 8 atmospheres, is now sent from the main air reservoir 23 via the seat 17 , which remains open, to the main air line < B> 29 can flow as long as the actuating lever 5 which determines the axial position of the part 5 remains in its filling position. The resulting high pressure wave in the main air line accelerates the release process of the brake, which is particularly desirable for long pulls.
When the operating lever 5 in its z. B. the angular position corresponding to the driving position is brought back, the cylindrical part 1 moves axially upwards again so far that the inlet seat 17 on the valve plate 15 > meets and takes the same with it while lifting from the outlet seat 41.
Via the opened outlet, the air pressure above the highest control pressure is reduced until the piston 27 lifts off the stop 43 under the influence of the spring 3 1 when the prescribed control pressure is reached Has reached the valve plate 15 again with its attachment 39 or the outlet seat 41 forming its end. This means that the already described driving state with the brake released, in which the overpressure of 5 atm is automatically maintained.
The invention is in its constructive Ver realization not limited to the game Ausführungsbei shown. It could e.g. B. to the housing space 30 instead of the main air line 29 a large inlet and outlet cross-section monitoring relay valve can be connected, which synchronously with the dictating driver's brake valve lever the main air line. and vented. In terms of the arrangement of the stop 43 and its described effect, nothing changes.
