dust vacuum cleaner There currently exist a large number of dust vacuum cleaners which generally have a casing mounted on wheels and enclosing an electric motor driving an air turbine. On the suction port of this turbine is attached a bdite, closing a to dust bag and provided with a removable cover. Generally, this cover has a mouth on which the end piece of a flexible suction pipe is attached, the free end of which can be fitted with a rigid suction tube.
This type of vacuum cleaner, very widespread today, generally has a long flexible cord allowing the electric motor to be connected to a distribution network. Housewives tend, in order to confer as much autonomy as possible to the vacuum cleaner, to require flexible cords & a very long length (5 meters and more). However, practice has shown that these long cords are quickly put out of use. either by accidental crushing or by exaggerated twisting. In addition, these cords become tangled and form knots which are the cause of breakage of the insulators.
In addition, these long cords remain pinched under doors and wrap around furniture # t, de so that the range of the vacuum cleaner does not correspond to < / B> the one that the flexible cord should allow.
The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner of the type described and which tends to to overcome the drawbacks mentioned by the fact that it is provided with a reel to which one of the ends is fixed. flexible cord intended to electrically connect the electric motor to a distribution network.
The appended drawing illustrates, schematically and by by way of example, an embodiment of the dust vacuum cleaner, object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a partially sectioned view. Fig. 2 is a side view, one of the wheels being removed.
According to the attached drawing, the vacuum cleaner comprises a parallelepiped 1 casing which, seen in profile, has the shape of a non-regular hexagon. Each side wall 2 of this housing carries an axis 3 on which is freely pivoted a wheel 4 provided with a tire 5 made of flexible and elastic material such as rubber, for example example.
The diameter d of the wheels 4 is greater than the largest diagonal of a side face of the housing 1. The axles 3 being fixed approximately at the center of these side faces, it follows that, viewed from profile (fig. 2), the wheels 4 projecting from on all sides the casing 1. </ B>
An electric motor 6 is fixed in the lower part of the casing and supports an air turbine 7. A box 8 </ B > fitted with a dust 9 bag is attached to the suction port 10 of this turbine, and a removable cover < B> 11 is fixed in a known manner on]! End of this database. This cover carries a flexible duct 12, the end of which is fixed on a flange 13 carried by a hub 14. This checkerboard is rigidly fixed on an axis, 15 and comprises a internal groove 16. Openings 17 connecting the flexible duct 12 to the internal groove, 16. This pin 15 is rigidly fixed to one of the side walls of the housing 1 by a support 22.
A drum 18 is pivoted on this hub and a winding spring 19 , one end of which is fixed to the axis 15, </ B> while its other end is fixed to a casing 20 integral with the drum, ie to rotate the latter on the hub. This drum is provided with two side walls 21 and one end of a flexible suction tube & 23 passes through the wall of the drum and opens into the groove 16. The free end of this flexible suction tube emerges from the housing 1 by a guide 24.
The dust 9 bag rests on a 25 pedal subjected to the action of the spring and which simultaneously constitutes the contact movable of a switch 26, 27, inserted in the supply circuit, of a incandescent lamp protected by a cap 29.
The housing 1 also contains a reel for a flexible electric cord 30 for connecting the electric motor 6 to a network of </ B > distribution. This reel comprises a drum 31 provided with two lateral guide walls 32 and pivoted on an axis 33 fixed to Fune, des, side walls of the casing 1. This drum is subjected. to Faction çFun winding spring 34 housed in a casing 35 and of which rune of the ends is fixed to the drum, while the other end is fixed to Paxe 33. One of the guide walls 32 wears two rings 36,
37 on each of which is elastically applied a rubbing contact 38, 39 one of which is connected by a conductor 40 to One of the supply terminals to the electric motor while the other is connected to the second motor supply terminal b by two conductors, 41, 42 and a switch 43. Each ring 36 , 37 is electrically connected to run of the conductors of the flexible cord 30 which emerges from the housing 1 by a guide 44.
From the above and from an examination of the drawing, it is easy to see that the flexible cord 30 is still wound on the the drum and unwinds or winds on it according to the movements of the vacuum cleaner. Thus, only the length of flexible cord necessary to connect the vacuum cleaner to the distribution network is outside the housing 1. It follows that this cord no longer trails on the ground and that its storage is carried out without fatigue, so that its insulating sheath is much better preserved against the risk of deterioration. than this is the case for the flexible cords of known vacuum cleaners.
To start the vacuum cleaner, simply turn on switch 43.
Likewise, the spring 19 tends to maintain the flexible suction tube 23 constantly wound on its reel. Consequently, only the length of the suction tube necessary to allow the work emerges from the housing 1. This flexible suction tube therefore no longer risks to be inadvertently overwritten.
Finally, when the to dust bag 9 is full, its weight is sufficient to lower the pedal and cause the closure of the light signal supply circuit in order to warn the user must empty the dust bag. All then has to open a door 45 and release the removable cover 11 to have the freedom to remove this 9 bag full of dust.
