la fig. 11 est une vue en perspective du clapet (et de son support tubulaire) du dispositif doseur des fig. 9 et 10;
la fig. 12 est une vue d'une variante à la fig. 9 dans laquelle le clapet comporte son propre poussoir d'ouverture ;
la fig. 13 est une vue correspondant à la fig. 10, le poussoir du clapet ayant été repoussé par le bouchon (démuni de poussoir);
Dosing device for pasty or liquid materials
The present invention relates to a metering device for pasty or liquid materials, characterized in that it comprises a shutter valve arranged to automatically close the outlet orifice in which it is placed, under the action of the pressure of the material. contained in a flexible container, when the user exerts pressure on this container.
The drawing represents, by way of example, several embodiments of the metering device which is the object of the invention and which is represented on a flexible tube.
Fig. 1 is a partial sectional view of a first embodiment of the metering device shown at the end of the flow stroke;
fig. 2 is a side view of the valve with its tubular guide;
fig. 3 is a view similar to that of FIG. 1, the device being closed by its cap;

fig. 9 is a sectional view of the metering device according to a third embodiment;
fig. 10 is a sectional view similar to the previous one, the pivoting valve having been placed in the open position by a pusher provided at the closing cap;
fig. 11 is a perspective view of the valve (and of its tubular support) of the metering device of FIGS. 9 and 10;
fig. 12 is a view of a variant in FIG. 9 in which the valve has its own opening pusher;
fig. 13 is a view corresponding to FIG. 10, the valve pusher having been pushed back by the stopper (without the pusher);
fig. 14, finally, is a perspective view of the valve (and of its tubular support) of the metering device of FIGS. 12 and 13.
In the exemplary embodiment of the metering device according to FIGS. 1 to 3, this comprises a tube and a tip 3 which is screwed, in place of the usual stopper 5, on the neck 1 of the tube 2 containing the pasty material to be dispensed in doses (toothpaste, beauty cream, cream shaving, shaving soap, etc.), and which has a hole of the same diameter as that of the neck which it extends. The end piece 3 is provided with a thread 4 intended to receive the closure cap 5.
In the channel defined by the hole of the neck 1 and that of the end piece 3 slides a tubular guide 6 having, on the outside, a stop collar 6a and, on the inside, a shutter valve 7, orifices 8 being formed in the wall of the guide, towards the end of the latter carrying the valve 7.
When the stopper 5 is in place (fig. 3), the assembly, guide 6 and valve 7, is in the pressed position in the tube and the holes 8 are found to be unmasked.
When, the stopper 5 having been removed, the user squeezes the tube 2, the material contained in said tube passes through the holes 8 and leaves the outside through the tubular guide 6 which, under the action of the pressure, moves gradually until it occupies the position shown in FIG. 1. In this position, the holes 8 are masked, the valve 7 closes the channel of the neck 1 and the flow of material ceases. So that the tube 2 can deliver a new dose of material, the assembly 6-7 must have been returned substantially to the position shown in FIG. 3. To obtain a continuous flow (not metered), all the user has to do is, while exerting pressure on the tube 2, to keep the assembly 6-7 pressed into said tube (position of fig. 3).
The user thus has the possibility of varying the doses; moreover, if he misplaces the stopper 5, he can continue to use the tube, simply by inserting the assembly 6-7 by hand for each dose to be dispensed.
The assembly 6-7, the end piece 3 and the stopper 5 can be made of any material: plastic, rubber, metal, etc.
The size of the doses depends on the internal diameter of the guide 6, the diameter of the orifices 8, the length and the stroke of the guide 6, the degree of mobility of the guide in the channel of parts 1 and 3 and, of course, the degree viscosity of the material to be determined. Knowing therefore the nature of the product that the tube 2 is called upon to contain, it is possible to act on the various factors listed above to obtain the desired normal doses.
The metering device according to the second embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 is intended for the metering of liquid substances and differs from the previous embodiment, in that, between the tubular guide 6 and the valve 7a, a flexible reservoir is interposed, advantageously produced in the form of a bellows 9. The collar 6a of the guide 6 and the stopper 5a are furthermore arranged to provide a tight seal.
The bellows reservoir 9 allows the flow of normal doses, despite the greater speed of translation of the guide 6 and the faster closing of the orifices 8. In fact, in the position of FIG. 5, the reservoir is filled to empty by crushing, during the expulsion of a dose of liquid material, when pressing on the tube 2 (fig. 4).
The variant shown in FIGS. 6, 7 and 8 differs from the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 3 in that the guide carrying the valve 7 is reduced to a simple plate 10 hollowed out in the shape of a U, the branches of which are terminated by push-in stops 10a.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS.
9, 10 and 11, the metering device comprises a pivoting valve. In this embodiment, the valve 1 1 is made in one piece, of suitable plastic material, with its tubular seat 12 provided with a rim 1 2a forming a stop. The stopper 13 is provided with a pusher 14 intended to return the valve 11 to its open position (Fig. 10) in anticipation of a dose to be delivered.
The dosage is carried out by closing the valve 11, applied to its seat 12 (fig. 9) under the action of the pressure of the material contained in the tube 2.
In the variant shown in FIGS. 12 to 14, the valve 11a is provided with a rod 15 forming a pusher on which acts an internal projection 16 of the plug 13a.
In the above description, the metering device is either removably mounted on or incorporated into the delivery end of a tube, but it is obvious that said device can also be removably mounted on (or incorporated into) another flexible container. than a tube.
