Silo
silo
The present invention relates to a silo with a discharge opening having a closure device which is used to empty the silo under the effect of the weight of the silo material.
The silo according to the invention is characterized in that the closure device consists of a pivotably arranged closure lid and a locking member, and that the closure lid with a wall permeable to a pressure medium forms a pressure chamber delimited from the inside of the silo by this wall.
The invention can enable the silo to be emptied pneumatically, with the pressure chamber of the closure cover being able to serve as a ventilation element when the cover is closed. When emptying the silo with the lid open under the effect of the weight of the silo, this ventilation device can be used to loosen free-flowing bulk material.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in a single figure.
In the drawing, a denotes the lower part of a silo container and al denotes the outlet opening of the same, which is delimited by a flange a2. This outlet opening a1 is assigned a closure cover b which has a flange part b1 and a curved bottom part b2. The curved bottom part b2 is by means of a wall c made of a for a pressure medium, for. B. compressed air, permeable material, e.g. B. sintered metal, delimited from the inside of the silo and together with this wall forms a pressure chamber serving as a ventilation element. This pressure chamber is provided with a hose-like supply line b3 for the pressure medium.
The closure cover b is articulated by means of a swivel arm b4 on a slide d, which is guided in a horizontal guide track e and is displaceable by means of a screw spindle f. A worm wheel segment g cooperating with a drive worm gl is fastened on the pivot axis h of the closure cover b. The locking member for the cover b in the closed position has a locking ring i rotatably mounted on the flange a2 delimiting the outlet opening. This locking ring i can be rotated by means of a worm drive 11.
The locking ring i has wedge-shaped locking cams i2 distributed around the circumference, which are intended to interact with one of the corresponding wedge-shaped cam parts b5 of the lid flange bl, so that the drain opening al is closed in a pressure-tight manner by rotating the locking ring i.
The operation of this silo lock is described below. When the discharge opening of the silo is closed pressure-tight by the cap b, the silo can be fed by feeding z. B. of compressed air I can be emptied pneumatically through the pressure line b. The compressed air reaches the inside of the silo from the pressure chamber through the air-permeable wall c of the closure cover b and presses the silo through the outlet nozzle a3 of the silo.
To empty the silo under the effect of the weight of the silo, the locking cover b is unlocked by turning the locking ring i by means of the worm drive ll and the lid b is pivoted away from the discharge opening into an inclined position by means of the worm drive g, gl, with the silo over the wall c of the cap b can flow into a drainage channel, not shown. By introducing compressed air into the pressure chamber of the closure cover b, the latter can in turn serve as a ventilation element in order to loosen the flowable bulk material that has reached the cover.
By turning the screw spindle f, the cover b, which is pivoted downwards to open the silo drainage opening, can be moved laterally away from the drainage opening, which is an advantage when there is limited space under the drainage opening.
