Fig. 16 bis 30 auf die Herstellung eines Kreuzbodenbeutels.
Pouch comprising thermoplastic material and process for its manufacture
The invention relates to a new, thermoplastic material containing bag, so z. B. entirely made of thermoplastic material or made of thermoplastic-coated materials, as well as a method for producing such bags, with the bottom folded into the hose plane, which has a bottom seam formed by welding a narrow edge strip.
The invention aims to improve the bags and their manufacture on a working cylinder, these bags having bottoms laid flat in the plane of the hose.
In the production of bags from thermoplastic material, it is known to fold the material edges to be connected out of the plane of the bag bottom and to place them against one another in a plane perpendicular to the bottom plane and to weld them. If, however, as is customary in machine production, the bottom formation begins by pulling up and laying the bottom part on the tube pieces fed in the longitudinal direction on a working cylinder, the material edges to be connected run in the longitudinal direction of the hose and cannot be moved due to the curvature of the working cylinder stand up and place against each other.
The mechanical production of the bases of these bags on a working cylinder offers many advantages. In embodiments of the invention, the production of the bags can be effected in a simple and perfect manner with the material edges standing up and against one another on a cylinder, in order to achieve a completely tight closure and a considerable saving in material.
The invention is suitable both for bags with gussets, so-called block-bottom bags, and for those without gussets, so-called cross-bottom bags.
A tube can be formed in a manner known per se on webs made of thermoplastic films or of materials coated with thermoplastics.
According to the invention, the bag is characterized in that the bottom seam is formed by welding the flat edge strips of the tube end provided with folds for the bottom, and that triangular folds of the tube end and the ends of the flat bottom seam resting on these folds are folded over onto the floor and are attached there.
The method according to this invention for producing the bag of the above-mentioned type is characterized in that one tube end of the flat-folded tube is pulled open to form the bottom, the resulting corner folds are raised and stretched towards the side edges of the tube, the edge strips of the bottom opening opening Place them against each other and thereby raise them up, whereupon they are connected to one another by pressure and heat to form a bottom seam.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained with the aid of the accompanying drawings. There are shown bags in the individual stages of soil production on a working cylinder, and refer to:
Fig. 1 to 15 and 31 on the production of a block bottom bag and
16 to 30 show the manufacture of a cross-bottom bag.
In the production of a block bottom bag to be described here, the pieces of tubing are pulled up on the working cylinder in a manner known per se to form the bottom. Deviating from a known technique, in which, to achieve a raised bottom weld seam running in the longitudinal direction of the hose, overlapping corner taps are required, for which a hose piece that is longer than twice the side fold depth plus the piece for the bottom seam is required, the piece of hose used to form the bottom is required 1 dimensioned for the block bag to be described here so that it only corresponds to twice the side fold depth a or what is the same, the bottom width b, plus the desired width of the bottom seam.
The result is a workpiece of the shape shown in FIG. 1 with a cross section along the line A-B in FIG. 1, which FIG. 2 shows. The arrow drawn in FIG. 1 indicates the direction of movement of the workpieces on the working cylinder, which is accordingly also curved in the same direction.
The side impacts 1 and 2 of the bottom are now, for. B. by means of the suction cups 3 and 4, so that spreading means, such. B. the spreaders 5 and 6, shown in phantom in FIG. 7, can penetrate in order to completely spread the bottom beyond the side edges in accordance with the illustration in FIGS. 5, 6 and 7. Triangular folds 12 and 13 are formed, protruding beyond the tube edges. The spreaders 5 and 6 and the heating jaws 7 and 8 move a little with them on the circular path prescribed by the working cylinder while they act on the bags.
Instead of the spreader, you can also use tools that, after pre-opening, squeeze the lower tube opening wide from the outside by applying pressure on both sides, e.g. B. against a plate temporarily placed in the center plane of the floor, so that in this way the corner impacts are stretched in the direction of the side edges of the hose and the edges 9, 10 are placed on top of one another.
Heating jaws indicated in FIG. 9 and labeled 7 and 8 can now grasp the two opposing, raised edges 9 and 10 of the bottom opening running in the direction of the cylinder axis and connect them to one another by means of pressure and heat.
The welded bottom seam 11, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, is then first folded down onto the bottom of the bag, preferably against the direction of travel of the workpieces, whereupon the triangular folds 12 and 13 resulting from the spreading of the hose end with the ends of the folded bottom seam lying on them 11 are folded over onto the bag bottom according to FIG. 13, which then shows in section the structure shown in FIG. 14; while the bottom seam 11 and the flaps 12, 13, z. B. by gluing, attached to the floor. The original of the welded seam 11 and the triangular folds 12 and 13 can be done by stationary means.
Since the bottom of the bag is already completely leak-proof due to the hot welding or welding of the stretched bottom seam, the bag can be used in this form. However, instead of gluing the folded seam 11 and the folds 12, 13 or in addition to this gluing, a known bottom cover sheet 14, shown in FIG. 15, can be glued onto the completely folded bottom so as to create the seam 11 and the folds 12 To hold 13 in their position on the ground and at the same time give the finished bag a good appearance.
In FIG. 31, a working cylinder 31, its axis 22 and a workpiece designated by 23 according to FIG. 1 are shown.
The production of a cross-bottom bag according to FIGS. 16 to 30 to be described here is also based on a longitudinally welded tube, from which individual tube sections are separated and fed in the longitudinal direction to the working cylinder.
At the end to be closed, a floor square with corner taps 1 and 2 is drawn, the tube piece I serving to form the floor square is dimensioned so that the floor width b also corresponds to the desired width of the floor seam (Fig. 16).
The corner impacts 1 and 2 are now, for. B. by means of suction cups 3 and 4 (Fig. 18 and 19), raised.
This creates the fold lines 15-16 and 17-18 drawn in dash-dotted lines in FIG. B. can be set by limiting rails 19 and 20 (Fig. 19). These fold lines 15-16 and 17-18, which run in the longitudinal direction of the hose, have a distance from the side edges of the hose section which is equal to half the width of the bottom.
In the pre-opened floor square then penetrate spreading agents, z. B. the spreaders 5 and 6 shown in phantom in Fig. 22, and spread the bottom opening in the transverse direction (Fig. 22), with triangular lateral folds 12 and 13 starting from the fold lines 15-16 and 17-18 (Fig. 20), which initially lie over the remaining, equally sized corners of the floor square.
Now, as shown in FIG. 24, the heating jaws labeled 7 and 8 can grasp the two opposing, raised edges 9 and 10 of the bottom opening and connect them by pressure and heat. The welded bottom seam 11 is then, as shown in FIGS. 26 to 30, folded down and, as described above, glued or provided with a cover sheet 14.
This way of working takes place z. B. Application in the field of packaging bag production and brings a significant advance, since it is then possible to machine bags with a closed bottom made of steam-tight thermoplastic or thermoplastic coated, modern Beu telwerkstoffe in a rational manner, so that the preservative properties of these bag materials now can be fully utilized even with bags that can be produced cheaply. In this case, bags are obtained in a flat-folded form, which can be stacked tightly and as a result can easily be sent from the manufacturing site to the filling site.
