Semi-rim collar for clothing The present invention relates to a semi-rigid collar for clothing, characterized in that it comprises a piece of fabric forming the place of the collar, a piece of interlining and a piece of fabric forming the back of the collar, the parts of the stabilizer corresponding to the collar stand and the cuff being reinforced by bands fixed to them and separated from one another in order to leave an interval forming the fold line of the collar. collar.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment and variants of the neck which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the cloth part that comprises said embodiment of the neck.
Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken along the line of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a plan view of said embodiment of the neck, partially cut away.
Fig. 4 is a sectional view taken along the line of FIG. 3.
Fig. 5 is a sectional view taken along line 5-5 of FIG. 3.
Fig. 6 is a plan view of an alternative collar, looking from the rear.
Fig. 7 is a sectional view similar to FIG. 5, showing the collar when folded up.
Fig. 8 is a sectional view similar to FIG. 7 and corresponding to a variant. The embodiment of the semi-rigid neck shown in fig. 1 to 5 comprises a piece of fabric forming the place A and a piece of fabric forming the back B, between which is interposed an interlining C, the three layers being joined by stitching along their edges and by a stitch line ai along the neck foot b, in the vicinity of the fold line.
The interlining piece C is made of nylon or other suitable material, reinforced with a strip of thermoplastic material Dl, sewn onto the collar stand b, the reinforcing strip having a width of approximately 19 mm and extending up to 6 mm. mm approx. from the ends of the neck.
Another reinforcing strip D of thermoplastic material is sewn by stitching at c on the canvas in the part corresponding to the cuff, that is to say to the visible part of the collar, this band stops at 1 cm approximately from the edge. The two reinforcing bands D, Dl leave between them an interval d with a width of approximately 0.65 to 1.30 cm, on the collar stand, in order to form an unreinforced line for the folding of the collar when that -this is used. The thermoplastic reinforcement bands D, Dl are fixed to the material forming the interlining C under the effect of heat and pressure.
This arrangement provides a well-defined fold line d for the neck. A line of stitching key secures the stabilizer C on the collar foot b, the line of stitching al crossing the right side A of the collar, the stabilizer C and the reverse side B, along the collar foot b , in the vicinity of the fold line. It has been found that a collar whose location A is not fixed on the stabilizer C in the part forming the back of the collar has a better aesthetic appearance when folded down.
The edges from RS A can be folded over stabilizer C and the edges from the wrong side B can be folded back on themselves and secured by the stitch line a along the edge of the collar.
In a collar permanently attached to a shirt, the fabric thereof is introduced between the stabilizer C and the reverse side B, and it is also fixed by the stitch line a along the free edge of the collar stand .
The neck may include, as shown in FIG. 6, cells b1 sewn on the back B, in order to receive stiffeners or rods holding the points of the neck in the known manner.
In the variant shown in FIG. 8, the reinforcing strip Dl is fixed on the stabilizer C and on the fabric forming the place of the collar, in the part constituting the collar base b, under the effect of heat and pressure, and this band Dl is on the side of the covering C opposite to that on which it is found in the embodiment shown in FIG. 7. The band D is attached to the stabilizer C as described above.
