Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Calendar timepiece The present invention relates to a calendar timepiece.
This timepiece is characterized by a device for resetting the date of the date indicator controlled by the device for setting the time of the timepiece, this device for resetting the date comprising a one-way coupling unique thanks to which the date indicator member is driven when the time-setting device is actuated in one direction only.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of part of a timepiece, and FIG. 2 is a section taken along line II-II of FIG. 1.
The timepiece shown comprises a crown 1 rotatably mounted on plate 2, on the dial side, bearing the indication 3 of the dates of the month. This crown has an internal toothing 4, in the form of a festoon, with which is engaged a drive device, not shown, connected to the movement.
The timer transmission 5, connecting the roadway 6 to the cannon wheel 7 of the hours, controls a pinion 8 rotatably mounted on a journal 9 carried by the plate. A pinion 10 with Breguet field teeth is housed in an internal recess of the pinion 8 and has a drive finger 10a engaged in a longitudinal groove 11 of this internal housing. The pinion 10 is thus angularly integral with the pinion 8, while being able to slide axially on the journal 9. This pinion 10 is held applied, by a spring 12, against a pinion 13 also having a Breguet field toothing, mounted idle on the journal 9, and integral with a control finger 14 engaging in the teeth 4 of the date crown 1.
A bridge 15 keeps the various components of the coupling assembled; this bridge has not been shown in FIG. 1.
During normal operation of the watch, crown 1 is driven at the rate of one tooth per twenty-four hours by the control device, not shown, and the Breguet coupling formed by the two pinions 10 and 13 operates in a detent manner. that the finger 14 is not driven. When the movement time-setting device, not shown, is actuated in the normal direction of movement of the hands, the finger 14 is not driven either. On the other hand, when the time-setting device is actuated in the opposite direction, the fingers 14 are driven, which makes it possible to reset the date indicator to the date.
The pinion 8 being of smaller diameter than the wheel of the timer transmission 5 with which it meshes, the date can be reset quickly. Thanks to this arrangement, resetting the date does not require a special pusher, which is an advantage in particular from the point of view of the tightness of the watch case.
