Wristwatch The present invention relates to a wristwatch. This wristwatch is characterized by the fact that its handles are each connected to a part in an arc of a circle housed in a groove presented by the edge of the case body, the back, fixed to said body carrying an annular sealing gasket, in elastically compressible material, which bears on the one hand on the edge of the box body and on the other hand on the part in the arc of each handle. The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of part of a wristwatch, and, FIG. 2 is a detail plan view of the urn. The case of the watch shown comprises a crystal 1 forced into a case body formed by a caseband-bezel 2 in which a caseback 3 is screwed.
The bracelet 4 is fixed to the case by handles 5, only one of which is visible in the drawing, which are diametrically opposed, and which each comprise a base 5a having two lateral edges 5b to which the strap 6 of the bracelet is fixed. . Each handle is also connected to a part in an arc of a circle or segment 5c.
These circle segments 5c are housed in an annular groove 7 made in the edge of the box body 2. An annular seal 8, made of elastically compressible material, carried by the bottom 3, bears on the one hand on the edge. of the box body and on the other hand on said circle segments 5c.
It should be noted that the side walls of the groove 7 are slightly conical - this taper has been exaggerated for the clarity of the drawing - so that the segments 5c are mounted in the groove and are held there anyway. bottom is removed. These segments can simply be forced into the groove or be held there by crimping.
Finally, the gearbox body has two radial clearances 9, diametrically opposed, only one of which is visible in the drawing, providing passage to the handles.
As a variant, the segments of the circle of the two handles may form a single ring on which the handles are diametrically opposed.
The wristwatch shown is particularly elegant, the handles, except for their edges 5b, being invisible. On the other hand, the manufacture and termination of this box are greatly facilitated by the fact that the handles form a separate part, which makes it possible to obtain the box body by turning, the handles themselves being stamped.
Instead of being invisible, the handles can on the contrary be decorative. In this case they will be turned over with respect to the position shown in fig. 1, and will go over the bracelét.
