Automatic control device on machines with movement control controlled by tactile organs There are already the most varied types of self-controls. So, for example, so-called program controls, in which the necessary control commands are issued by control drums with cams set on the working machine in accordance with a pre-defined program. If instead of the mechanical work of the control drums master rollers with electrical contacts are provided, all switching commands are also placed here by the arrangement of the contacts on the test roller. In contrast, machines that are equipped with sensors that automatically scan templates or models and thus control tools behave completely differently.
These sensors scan the contours of the stencils and are deflected to different degrees in the process, giving them corresponding switching commands to the drive elements of the machines. Other self-controls or machines are also equipped with a device for imprinting or holding control pulses, for example with a magnetophone device, so that all switching commands that the sensors issue when scanning a mask can be automatically recorded and as often as desired can reproduce.
The present invention relates to an automatic control device on machines with movement play controlled by touch organs, the touch organs automatically following the contours of the objects to be scanned and used for control.
This control device is characterized in that it has an Auswertevorrich device which averages and evaluates at least one specific measured value during a scanning process in order to control the subsequent movement of the machine depending on this specific measured value after this scanning process has elapsed. The capabilities of these automatic control devices are therefore much higher than those of the above-mentioned known automatic controls. However, these abilities can also be increased at will, so that completely new effects can be achieved.
The new controls can be produced in a wide variety of designs and used for the most diverse tasks. Only a few examples can be described here, from which the working principle and the basic features of the new type of control emerge.
The object of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, for example. 1 shows schematically a plan view of an automatic board trimming machine and the circuit diagram of the control for this board trimming machine.
2 to 6 show a Fühlersteue tion with five command sensors and combi-ned sensor movements, the direction of the combined movement is gradually adapted to the contour of the template and these special positions of the controller. Automatically recorded who the.
7 shows the working principle of this automatic system using a magnetophone device.
FIGS. 8 to 10 show a control device with an electrical sensor which automatically scans outline contours and an evaluation device for evaluating several decisive measured values.
11 shows the basic construction parts of such an evaluation device. FIG. 12 shows a relay combination of an evaluation device.
13, 13a and 13b show an evaluation device for the automatic clamping or alignment of workpieces.
First, the basic idea of the invention is presented using a simple example, which is then followed by other examples which reveal the numerous possible combinations and applications of the invention.
FIG. 1 shows an automatic board trimming machine on which the boards cut on a gang saw can be trimmed. The boards usually have very irregularly shaped edges corresponding to the growth of the tree trunk. Such a board 6 is now placed on the table 1 of the trimming machine and clamped Festge. The machine table now moves in direction A, whereby the two board edges are scanned by a sensor 2 and 3 each. The sensor sits on the support 4 and the sensor 3 on the support 5, which supports can be moved in the direction of C <B> -D </B>. The feelers have probe spindles that can be moved in all directions.
If the feeler spindle of the probe is not yet in contact with the board edge, the probe always switches the drive of the machine support on which it is attached so that it approaches the board edge. If the feeler spindle experiences a deflection, i.e. if it rests against the edge of the board, this movement is stopped. With an even greater deflection of the feeler spindle, the support moves away from the board edge. While the board. 6 is moved past the sensors, so the supports 4 and 5 move back and forth, depending on the shape of the board edge. The stop 7 is attached to the support 4 and takes the stop 8 with it when the support 4 moves in the direction D.
If the support 4 moves in the direction C, the stop 8 is not shifted, that is, it remains in its respective position. The stop 9, which is firmly screwed to the support 5, sits on the support 5. If the support 5 moves in direction C, the adjustable stop 10 is carried along by the stop 9. As soon as the sensors 2 and 3 have completely scanned the two board edges, the machine table operates in its end position with the stop 41, an end switch E1 through which the stops 8 and 10 are clamped via corre sponding magnets. so that they can no longer adjust themselves.
The drives 11 and 12 now receive: voltage; whereby the supports 13 and 14 are advanced against the board edge. The sup port 13, which carries the circular saw blade 15, which is driven by the motor 16, moves forward until the limit switch 17 hits the stop 8 with its plunger. In the same way, the movement of the support 14, which carries the saw blade 19, is also limited by the limit switch 56 as soon as the plunger of this limit switch is actuated by the stop 10. In this way, the distance between the two saw blades 15 and 19 is automatically set to the board width which is determined by the deepest indentations in the longitudinal edges of the untrimmed board.
In this machine, unlike the known sensor controls, the feelers do not steer any work movements. Rather, the sensors only have the task of making certain determinations on the workpiece. Only the largest possible board width that the trimmed board can have is determined by the sensor. It is irrelevant whether, for example, a hydraulic sensor control or an electric one is used. Although generally known control means can be used for the automatic adjustment of the stops 8 and 10, the sensor control is also provided with is.
As it can be seen from the circuit diagram of FIG. 1, the motors 21, 22 and 23 are first switched on with the main switch 20. The magnetic reversing clutch 24 is driven by the motor 21 and the magnetic reversing clutch 25 is driven by the motor 23. The motor 22 drives the magnetic reversing clutch 26 through which the machine carriage 1 is moved. The board 6 is attached to the machine table, and its edges are scanned by the sensors 2 and 3.
The sensor 2 sits on the support 4 and the sensor 3 on the support 5 ,. The support 4 with the feeler 2: can be moved in the direction C-D by the magnetic reversing coupling 25. Through the magnetic Umkehrkupp ment 24, the support 5 is moved back and forth. The stylus of the sensor 2 'is pressed forwards by the spring 27 so that the contact bridge 28 rests on the contacts 29 and 30. This gives the magnetic reverse clutch for forward motion tension and moves it. see support 4 in direction D with the feeler against the board edge.
Current flow: main line P, terminals 31 and 32 of the limit switch E1, terminals 29 and 30 of the sensor, via the normally closed contact of relay R, i.e. terminals 33 and 34 to terminal 35 of the magnetic coupling, via the coil of the magnetic coupling to terminal 3,6, via the limit switch E2 to the main line N. If the button 2 hits the board edge, the contact bridge 28 is pushed back and the forward movement of the support 4 is switched off. Since the table 1 with the board 6 slides past the button 2, this is pushed back as soon as the board edge has an increase, until the contact bridge 28, the contacts 3, 7 and 38 bridged.
Now the other coil of the magnetic reversing clutch receives voltage via the terminal 39, whereby the support 4 is moved back in direction C. In the same way, the support 5 is controlled by the button 3 via the magnetic reverse clutch 24 in order. The stop 7 is seated on the support 4 and takes the stop 8, which is displaceable on the shaft 40, with it when it moves in the direction D. If the sensor 2 has scanned the whole board edge by moving the machine table in direction A, the stop 41 actuates the limit switch E1, where the relay R receives voltage and holds itself.
Current flow: main line P, terminals 42 and 43 of the limit switch El, terminal 44 of the relay coil of relay R, via terminal 45 to main line N. via contacts 44 and 46, the relay holds itself as soon as it is switched on. The relay now switches on the return clutch, so that the support 4 is moved back in direction C.
Current course: Main line P, via terminals a and b of relay R to terminal 39 of magnetic coupling 25, via terminal 36, limit switch E2 to main line N. As soon as support 4 reaches the lowest position, its stop 47 actuates the limit switch E2, and thereby the magnetic clutch 25 is switched off again. At the same time, the limit switch E'2 actuates the magnet 48, by means of which the stop 8 is clamped on the shaft 40.
Current course: main line P, terminals 49 and 5'0 of the magnet 48 to terminal 51 of the limit switch E2 via the terminal '52 to the main line N. Furthermore, the contactor 53 is also switched on by the limit switch E2, whereby the motor 1.6 to voltage is placed. The motor 54 also runs through the contactor 53. The motor 16 drives the saw blade 15 and sits on the support 13. The motor 54 drives the magnetic coupling 11. The limit switch E2 also switches on the magnetic coupling 11 and thereby moves the support 13 in direction D. The limit switch 17 is seated on the support 13.
As soon as the plunger of this limit switch is actuated by the stop 8, the magnetic hitch ment 11 is switched off. In the same way, the sensor 3 scans the other edge of the board and controls the magnetic reversing clutch 24. The stop 9 adjusts the stop 10.
If the sensor 3 has completely scanned the right board edge, the stop 10 is clamped in the same way as the stop 8, whereupon the support 14, which carries the motor 55, is also advanced against the board edge until the limit switch 5.6 is actuated by the stop 10. In this way, the machine automatically adjusts the two saw blades to the largest possible board width that the trimmed board can have. The limit switch 1'7 also has a normally open contact 17a, which is in the power supply to the terminal 57 of the magnetic reversing clutch 26.
This ensures that as soon as the saw blade 15 is set to the desired target size, that is, the limit switch 17 is actuated by the stop 8, the table 1 now moves in direction B and the board is trimmed.
Since you only want very specific board widths in practice, the control system also fulfills this condition. This can be achieved in that corresponding notches are attached to the guide 40, into which the stop 8 jumps. For this purpose, the stop 8 is to be provided with a spring which only enables a further displacement of the stop in the direction D by the stop 7 when this displacement is so great that the next notch position is reached. A similar device with storage springs can be provided for this purpose, as described in patent no. 307449.
The example described shows how such controls can be designed so that the machine itself actively determines a certain minimum or maximum value and then adjusts its tools.
In FIGS. 2 to 6 it is shown in a second exemplary embodiment how an automatic control device can be designed in such a way that it does not select and record a specific value, but rather several values. In Figure 2, a machine tool is schematically provided with a machine bed 61 Darge on which a longitudinal support 62 slides. The longitudinal support 62 carries a planar support 63 on which a feeler element 64 is attached. This sensing element 64, which is intended. To scan a template, has an all-sided deflectable sensor which can operate one of five different command levels depending on the direction of deflection. Such a sensor with five command levels is described in detail in Swiss Patent No. 320854, for example.
In FIG. 3, the command levels assigned to the scanning directions are shown schematically. The longitudinal support is controlled by the magnetic reversing clutch 65. This clutch is driven by a Leonard motor 6,6. The face support 63 is controlled by the magnetic reversing clutch 67, which is driven by the Leonard variable speed motor 68. The motor 6, 6 is fed by the Leonard generator 69 and the motor 68 is fed by the generator 70. The motor 71 is connected to the two Leonard generators. 69 and 70 coupled and drives them.
With the controllers 72 and 73, which belong to a control unit A, the speeds of the governor motors 66 and 68 are controlled. The two controllers are coupled to one another by means of a shaft 59a and are adjusted by the stepping mechanism 59, which is shown in FIG. 4 and influenced by the sensor 64. The stepping mechanism 59 has two magnets 58 and 75. Through the magnet 58, the regulator shaft 59a is clockwise and the magnet 75 counterclockwise ver is. In Fig. 5, the controller positions are shown cally, with the arrow 60 symbolizing the respective position of the controller arms. The controller 72 for the plane motor is designed in such a way that the motor 68 stops when the controller arm is in a horizontal position.
In the vertical position of the controller arm, the motor 68 runs at the highest speed. In the controller 73, the speed ratios are reversed. When the regulator arm is in a horizontal position, the motor 66 runs at the highest speed. If the controller arm is perpendicular right down, the motor 66 is switched off. Both motors rotate in intermediate positions of the controller, and there are combined movements of the support 63 or the sensor. The two controllers 72 and 73 only come into operation when the sensor is in command positions II or IV. In command positions I, III and V, the two controllers 72 and 73 are short-circuited by the short-circuit contactor 74.
6 shows a template contour which is scanned by the sensor 64. The controller arms of the two controllers 72 Lund 74, with which the combined movements II and IV of the five-command sensor can be set in different directions, should be in a horizontal position at the beginning of the scanning process. If the sensor is on the Scha blonenkante A-B (Fig. 6) and if it is in command position III, the sensor initially moves in the horizontal direction. At corner B the sensor becomes free and comes into command position II. Since the resulting movement II also runs horizontally when the controller arms are in a horizontal position, the sensor moves even more freely until it reaches command position I.
It now moves vertically downwards, while at the same time the magnet M (FIG. 4) of the stepping mechanism 59 holds a switching pulse and adjusts the controller arms. The various positions of the controller 7 ″ 2 and 73 are shown in FIG. 5 by the letters a to <I> i </I> and a to <I> i '</I>. They now assume position b Since this direction does not yet coincide with the inclination of the contour BC, another staircase appears. The sensor becomes free again and moves into command position I, so that it moves vertically downwards again.
At the same time, the magnet 58 of the stepping mechanism 59 receives another switching pulse for the adjustment of the regulator arms, so that these are adjusted even more and the regulator arms take position c. In this way, the sensor gradually adjusts the regulator arms automatically until their angular position corresponds to the inclination of the template contour B-C. Whenever the sensor becomes free and moves into command position I, magnet 58 receives a switching pulse. At corner C (Fig. 6) the sensor is in command position III, and the magnet 75 (Fig. 4) receives voltage. The stepping mechanism 59 is adjusted counterclockwise, where it is turned back by the regulator arms.
The controller arms, which were in position e when scanning path B-C, are now turned back into position d. The sensor makes a few flights of stairs until the controller is in position b, which corresponds to the contour C-D. From point D onwards, the template contour runs diagonally upwards again and the sensor comes into command positions IV and V.
The magnetic reversing clutch 67 changes the direction of rotation, so that the resulting movement now runs obliquely upwards. However, this movement is still too weakly inclined and the sensor comes into the command position V several times, with the magnet 58 (FIG. 4) holding a switching pulse each time. The indexing mechanism 59 rotates the controller arms clockwise so that they can be adjusted from position b 'to position c'. With this control, the controller arms are therefore always only gradually adjusted to the inclination of the template contour.
The described control can now be perfected by the fact that the controller positions corresponding to the contour inclination are selected and recorded by an evaluation device, so that when the scanning process is repeated, the controller arms are no longer gradually adjusted to the contour, but instead immediately Adjust the slope of the contour. For this purpose, the gear 77 is placed on the shaft 76, which is identical to the shaft 59a, which can be driven by the motor 81 via the intermediate gears 78, 79 and 80. Furthermore, the potentiometer 82 sits on the shaft 76, the sliding contact 83 of which is coupled to the shaft 76. As soon as the regulator arms of the regulators 72 and 73 are adjusted, the sliding contact 83 of the potentiometer 82 is adjusted at the same time.
The magnetic coupling 81 is also connected to the shaft 76. The two magnetic clutches 87 and 88 are also driven via the chain wheels 85 and 86. The sliding contacts 89, 90 and 91 of the potentiometers 9'2, 93 and 94 can be adjusted via the couplings 87, 84 and 88. In addition, a stepping mechanism 95 is still provided, the Klem men 96, 97 and 98 with the sliding contacts 89, 90 and 91 of the potentiometers 92, 9.3 and 94 are connected. In the switching position G of the stepping mechanism 95, the terminal 96 is connected to the terminal of the sliding contact 8.9 of the potentiometer 92 :. The potentiometer 92 is connected to the potentiometer 82 in a bridge arrangement, the diagonal voltage of which is fed to the amplifier 99-.
The field 100 of the motor 81 is fed by the amplifier. The armature of the motor 81 is connected to the transformer 101. Due to the chosen arrangement, the motor 81 tries to adjust the sliding contact 83 until it is in the same position as the sliding contact 89 , the potentiometer 93 is connected to the bridge. The motor 81 now tries to adjust the sliding contact 83 of the potentiometer 82 until the position of the sliding contact 83 coincides with that of the sliding contact '90. In Patent No. 307449 is. the basic principle of the mentioned bridge arrangement has already been described.
With this evaluation device, this control is able, as required, to hold firmly those controller positions that correspond to the contour of the template.
In the starting position, the sliding contacts of all potentiometers are first set to the horizontal position, that is to say the same position as the regulator arms of regulators 72 and 73. In the described scanning process of the path A-C (FIG. 6), as explained, the indexing unit 59 (FIG. 4). gradually set the regulator arms to position e. There. the magnetic clutches 87, 84 and 88 are switched on, the sliding contacts 89, 90 and 91 of the three potentiometers 92, 93 and 94 are adjusted. If the controller remains in this switching position for a few seconds, that is, if the sensor no longer performs any switching steps, a time relay runs through which the magnetic coupling 87 is opened.
The sliding contact of the potentiometer 9 '? then remains in this position. The sensor then scans the contour C-D (Fig. 6) and the remaining controllers are set to position b. Since now only the clutches 84 and 88 are switched on, only the sliding contacts 90 and 91 are adjusted together with the regulator arms. If there are no more switching steps, the second clutch 8.1 is also switched off by the above-mentioned time relay. The sliding contact 90 of the potentiometer 93 then remains in this position.
If the sensor scans the contour D-D (FIG. 6), the controller arms are adjusted by the step controller 59 (FIG. 4), as described, in the opposite direction, with the sliding contact 91 taking part in this movement. If the controller arms have played on the inclination of the contour D-E, that is to say they have reached position c '(FIG. 5), the clutch 88 is finally released. If the scanning process is now repeated, that is, if the sensor scans the distance AB (FIG. 6) a second time, the sensor becomes free again at corner B, and now the stepping mechanism 95 receives a switching pulse, causing it to enter the Position G comes and the first potentiometer 92 is switched on in the bridge.
The motor 81 now immediately adjusts the controller to position e, so that the sensor does not have to carry out any further switching steps, but rather scans the path B-C immediately and continuously. At corner C, however, the stepping mechanism 95 receives a switching pulse from the sensor, so that it now jumps into switching position H and the potentiometer 93 is connected to the measuring bridge. The motor 81 now rotates in the opposite direction and rotates the regulator arms back to position b, which corresponds to the position of the sliding contact 90. At corner D, the sensor moves to command position V, and stepping mechanism 95 jumps to switching position J.
The potentiometer 94 is now connected to the measuring bridge, and the motor 81 turns again in the opposite direction of rotation, as a result of which the regulator arms are immediately set to position c '.
This example shows how such a control device can be designed in such a way that, as in the first example, only a certain value but also several values can be selected and recorded from it. Instead of the additional devices with measuring bridge described, a magnetophone device can also be used to hold the controller positions.
7 shows the basic working principle of such an additional device with a magnetophone device. It is assumed here that the sensor 64 scans the template contour of FIG. 6 described above. The switching pulses from the sensor are fed to the relay 103 of the control system via the cable 102. The two magnetic reversing clutches 66 and 67 for moving the machine center are connected to the relay part. These reversing clutches are driven by the motor 10-1. With the sensor commands I and V, the sliding contacts of the controller 105 are adjusted clockwise.
With the command III, the sliding contacts are, as described under Fig. 2, ver counterclockwise. Instead of the stepping mechanism 59 described under Figure 4, a magnetic reversing clutch 10.6 was provided for the adjustment of the controller contacts. This is driven by the motor 107. The magnetic reversing clutch 106 is connected to the relay part via the terminals 108, 109 and 110. The sliding contact 112 is coupled to the shaft 111. This sliding contact slides on a contact disk 113, the contacts of which are connected to the frequency generator 114. If the sliding contact 112 is rotated, it switches on the various frequencies of the frequency generator one after the other.
Nine frequency relays FR1 to FR9 are connected to lines 115 and 116, corresponding to the nine frequencies of the frequency generator. Each of these fre quency relays is equipped with a normally open contact that is closed when the frequency relay responds. The frequency relays are tuned to the nine frequencies of the frequency generator, and the frequency relay FR1 responds at the first frequency, the frequency relay FR2 etc. at the second frequency.
Each controller position a to <I> i </I> is assigned a specific frequency and a frequency relay that responds to this.
If the sensor now scans the edge of the template and the controller 105 is adjusted so that the sliding contact 112 slides over the contacts b, c, d, etc., the different frequencies are switched on one after the other. The magnetophone device 117 is provided for recording these frequencies. When recording, the selector switch 118 is to be brought into position K (recording). If the keying process is repeated, the switch 118 is to be put in the position: L (playback). The sensor now no longer needs to emit any impulses to adjust the controller, since the magnetophone device adjusts the controller.
This is achieved in the following way: If, for example, the magnetophone emits the first frequency assigned to contact a, the frequency relay 11'R1 responds. The frequency relay closes its normally open contact FR1a and thus switches on the auxiliary relay R1. The magnetic coupling 106 receives voltage via the lines 119 and 120 as soon as one of the auxiliary relays R1 to R9 is switched on. For example, if the magnetophone device emits the second frequency, which corresponds to position b of the controller, the frequency relay FR2 responds and switches on the auxiliary relay R2 with its normally open contact.
Through the normally open contact of this auxiliary relay, the coupling 106 receives voltage until the regulators are adjusted so far that the sliding contact 60 rests on contact b. In this position, the coil of the auxiliary relay R2 is short-circuited so that it drops out and the magnetic coupling 106 is switched off. If the magnetophone device emits the fifth frequency, which corresponds to position e of the control arms, the frequency relay FR5 is energized. This Fre quenzrelais closes its normally open contact FR5a and thereby switches on the auxiliary relay R5. It now receives the magnetic hitch be 106 via the lines 119, 120 voltage. The control arms are adjusted by the coupling 106 until the sliding contact 60 rests on the contact e.
Since the upper coil end e of the relay R5 is connected to the contact e of the contact path of the controller 10 \ 5, the coil of the relay R5 is short-circuited so that the relay drops out and the magnetic clutch 106 is switched off again If the frequency cannot only be adjusted clockwise, a further frequency can be provided which effects this switching of the magnetic reversing clutch 106. The circuit can be carried out in such a way that simultaneously with the one shown in FIG This special frequency is actuated by magnet 75 of indexing mechanism 59. In box 121 there is such a changeover contactor and a special frequency relay which triggers the described changeover.
In the case of the control device described, the controllers are at. The second keying process is no longer adjusted by the probe, but by the recorded frequencies. This adjustment is initially carried out in the same way as for the recording. So that the controller when scanning the route A-C of FIG. 6 is not gradually, but immediately set to the position e, a time relay is provided in the box 121, which causes this Schnellverstel development. During the first keying operation, the time relay receives switching pulses from the sensor, as does the magnets 58 and 75 of the indexing works 59 in FIG. 4, whenever the controller is to be adjusted.
The respective adjustment variable is limited by the time relay so that the controller can only adjust itself by a very specific amount.
The control for holding the various controller positions can therefore be designed in the most varied of ways. For example, it is also possible to couple a potentiometer or a capacitor to the controllers, through which the frequency of a controller is changed. These frequencies are then recorded by a magnetophone device and reproduced during the second scanning process. With these re-produced frequencies, as in. Patent No. 312 $ 96 described a variable speed motor to be operated, which causes the adjustment of the controller.
But there are also tasks in which the machine has to scan outlines, for example, and several excellent measured values are to be determined, which must occur in a certain size, ratio and sequence and only if these conditions are met, the further work process may use. In this case, it is necessary to check the measured values during the scanning process three times in terms of size, proportion and sequence.
8 to 10 show the working principle of such a control device, a bridge circuit being used for the checking and sorting part. From Fig. 8 is. the tactile apparatus can be seen. The two drives 1 "22 and 12'3 of the device are controlled by the relays R1 to R4. The drive 122 moves the support 124 in the direction AB, the drive 1'23 moves the support 125 in the direction CD The relays R1 to R4 are controlled in the known manner so that the sensor automatically scans the contour of the work piece 127. First, the relay R1 receives voltage, whereby the sensor moves in the direction.
As soon as the sensor reaches corner k, the relay R3 receives voltage - so that the sensor now moves in direction D. Relay R2 receives voltage at corner 1, and the sensor moves in direction <I> B. </I> At corner m, relay R4 is finally switched on, causing the sensor to move in direction C. If the machine should now automatically drill several holes in the workpiece 127 in the following operation,
And if these bores are to be arranged differently for workpieces with a square shape, for example, than for workpieces with a rectangular shape, the control must be able to distinguish between them, which, depending on the shape of the workpieces, transmits the corresponding switching impulses to the drive elements. The workpiece only has a square shape if, during the scanning process, all four relays are actuated by the sensor, furthermore all relays have been switched on for the same length of time and the order in which the relays are actuated is correct. For this check, the current collector brush 128 be fastened to the machine slide 12'5 and slide on the resistance wire 129.
If the machine carriage 125 moves in the direction C-D, the current collector 128 slides on the resistance wire. A current collector 130, which slides on the resistance wire 131, is also seated on the support 124.
Fig. 9 shows the design of the checking and sorting part. This consists of the bridge 132, a galvanometer 133, a step holder 134, the auxiliary relays <B> 135, </B> 136, 137 and 138 and the command relay 139, which only responds when the shape of the workpiece is the required Conditions met. The two resistance wires 129 and 131 are, as FIG. 10 shows, closed in the bridge and the sliding contacts 128 and 130 slide on the same. The bridge is fed by the current source 140. The diagonal voltage is measured by the instrument 133. The pointer of the instru mentes is designed with a flag that only releases a light beam when the diagonal voltage reaches zero.
A photocell amplifier device 141 can be regulated so that the switching pulse emitted by the relay connected to the switching relay can be delayed. The indexing mechanism 134 has three switch positions 142, 1-13 and 144. In the switch position 142, the terminals 145 and 146 are exposed. This is the starting point. If, as shown in FIG. 8, the sensor 126 moves from the point n, in the direction L1 to the point k, the sliding contact 130, which slides on the resistance wire 131, is also adjusted as a result.
If the bridge of FIG. 9 has been tuned at the beginning of the scanning process so that the diagonal voltage has the zero value, i.e. the pointer of the instrument 133 is vertically upwards, the bridge is now detuned by adjusting the sliding contact 130. The pointer of the instrument keeps deflecting further and stops at a certain value when the sensor reaches corner k. At this corner, the sensor switches the direction of movement. For its movement in direction A, the sensor has switched on relay R1, while it now switches relay R1 off at corner k and relay R4 switches on for movement in direction D.
As a result, the support 125 is now moved in direction 1) and the sliding contact 128 is adjusted on the resistance wire 12'9. The diagonal voltage of the bridge decreases again and reaches its zero value when the movement in direction D of the sensor is as great as the movement in direction A. Relay R1 closed its auxiliary contact R1a before moving in direction A. and thereby the relay 13'5 made to respond. The relay 135 is equipped with a self-holding contact and remains switched on even if the relay R1 drops out again. Due to the working contact R4a of the relay R4, the relay 136 now also picks up and holds itself.
If the paths that the sensor has made in directions A and 13 are the same, then, as already mentioned, the diagonal voltage reaches zero, and the instrument 133 emits a switching pulse. As a result, the coil 147 of the stepping mechanism 134 receives tension so that the same jumps into the next working position 143. The sensor now moves in direction B to corner m, which detunes the bridge again. At the corner m, the sensor switches on the movement in direction C and then the sliding contacts 128 and 130- reach their starting position again. The bridge is then tuned again, the diagonal voltage reaching its zero value and the instrument 133 emits another switching pulse.
The coil of the stepping mechanism receives another current pulse, and the stepping mechanism 134 jumps to position 144. Now the command is received; Relay 139 voltage and the machine issues the desired switching impulse for further work via terminals 148 and 149. So that the machine can correctly decide whether the workpiece contour it scans has a square shape; points, the following conditions must be checked for the test part: 1. The control must determine whether all four relays R1 to R4 have been switched on by the sensor. , 2.
The control must check whether the paths that the feeler takes in the four directions were all the same length, that is, whether the relationship between the sides is correct.
3. The control must check whether the order in which the four relays R1 to R4 are switched on one after the other is correct. For this reason, the circuit was chosen so that only when relays 1315 and 13.6 are switched on, the sensor has actually moved in direction A and then D, the stepping mechanism can move from position 7.42 to position 143.
The current flow is as follows: Main line P, terminal 150, solenoid 147 of the stepping mechanism, terminal, 151 via the segment of the stepping mechanism to terminal 152, via terminals 153 and 154 of relay 136 and terminals 155 and 15'6 of the Relay 135 to main line: P. The segments of the stepping mechanism 1'34 are designed so that in the position 142 and 143 the contacts 152 and 151 are bridged. The command relay 139 does not pick up yet.
The sensor must first scan the other two sides of the workpiece, with the relays 137 and 138 being switched on. If the sensor moves in direction B, the bridge is detuned again, and the sliding contact 130 is moved back to its starting position. This movement is stopped at corner ni, and the sensor now moves in direction C. It is now the second sliding contact 128 'also moved back into the starting position. The diagonal voltage of the measuring bridge again reaches its NTull value, and the instrument 133 then emits another switching pulse.
The coil 147 now receives voltage and the indexing mechanism jumps into position 144. The contacts 152 and 151 become free even before the contacts 145 and 1.1'6 are closed by the indexing mechanism. But since the relays 137 and 138 were also switched on in the meantime, the command relay 139 now picks up. The contacts 149 and 148 are bridged and is triggered by the switching pulse for the next operation.
So that even in cases where the movement in direction D is greater than that in direction E1, the test part of the control system can make a flawless decision, the instrument 133 is provided with a control device, where it only then makes the decisive switch emits an impulse when the sensor stops at corner l, i.e. no longer runs. If the edge of the workpiece k-1 is longer than the edge n-k, then the measuring bridge is only tuned for a very brief moment and then immediately out of tune again. In this case, the instrument does not emit a switching pulse.
As can be seen from FIG. 10, a stop can also be attached to the support 1'24, through which the current collector 130, which slides on the shaft 157, is carried along. The feeler moves with it. the support 124 in direction 4, the current collector 130 is also adjusted by the stop 1: 5'8. If, however, the sensor moves back in direction B, the sliding contact 130 stops. With this arrangement, the time for the switching pulse of the instrument 133 can be chosen to be much longer. For the movement in direction B, a special sliding contact can be provided which is only adjusted when the support 124 is moved in direction 13.
As described in patent no.307449, the resistor bridge can also be connected to an amplifier, whereby a switching tube is triggered whenever the diagonal voltage reaches zero. Instead of the resistance wires on which the sliding contact slides, as described in the above patent specification, potentiometers can also be provided that can be coupled directly to the drive of the Sup porte. So there is a wide variety of circuit options for such a testing and sorting part.
The characteristic of such an automatic control system is that it has the following three construction parts according to FIG. 11 1. One or more tactile organs which themselves actively perform the necessary tactile movements (search movements).
2. An amplifier part to which the tactile impulses of the sensor or sensors are transmitted and through which these are amplified and fed to the drive elements of the machine.
3. A test or sorting part to determine the characteristics of a specific workpiece shape.
As can be seen from FIG. 11, the sensor 126 scans the variously shaped objects 159. The probe pulses are transmitted to the control part 160 via the line 161. Here they are amplified and fed to the drive elements 162 and 163 via the line 164. The checking or sorting part 165 is also connected to the control part 160, by means of which the excellent measured values occurring during the scanning process are recorded and checked according to their size, proportion and sequence.
After this test has been completed, the test or sorting part of the machine issues further switching pulses for the respective work process in question. '' A relay combination can also be used for the testing and sorting section. The Fig.12 shows such a relay combination. The relay 11 of this relay combination responds only when the second measured value occurs during the measurement <I> Ma </I>, the third measured value during the measurement illb and the second measured value occurs again during the measurement Mc, as shown in the thick Lines drawn out current curve can be seen.
In the figure, the decisive measured values are indicated by the hatched rectangles. Only when the measured value Ma occurs during the scanning process and this measured value also occurs in the second quantity, the contact a2 is closed. During the scanning process, the measured value Mb must now appear in the third variable so that the contact b3 is closed. If the third condition is finally fulfilled, that is, if the measured value Mc occurs in the second quantity, then the current curve shown by the strongly drawn line is closed. In order to achieve a faster determination of the workpiece contours, the scanning device can also be equipped with two or more tactile organs. Fig. 13 shows a device for the automatic off direction of workpieces.
The support 167, which carries the rotary table 168, slides on the machine bed 166. By means of the drive element 169, the support 167 is moved in the direction A-B via the spindle 170. The outer contour of the workpiece 172 is scanned by the feeler disk 171 of the sensor. The control for the automatic scanning from such outline contours has already been described in Patent No. 331313. If the workpiece has an irregular contour, the distance r1 changes continuously during the scanning process, i.e. the radius from the pivot point of the workpiece to the point at which the feeler disc of the Füh lers touches the contour of the workpiece. If the feeler disk 171 of the sensor is exposed, the carriage 167 first moves against the feeler disk of the sensor.
If the feeler wheel touches the workpiece 172, the feeler spindle of the sensor is thereby deflected and, as described in the aforementioned patent, the rotary table movement is switched on. The sensor sends a corresponding switching pulse to the drive element 173. The machine potentiometer 174 is coupled to the shaft 170. The sliding contact of this potentiometer adjusts itself automatically with the movement of the support 167. The machine potentiometer 174 is in a bridge circuit with the potentiometer 175 (FIG. 13a). If the apparatus is switched on and the sensor scans the outline of the workpiece, the machine potentiometer is constantly adjusted.
If the setting potentiometer 175 is now set to the radius r, the bridge voltage reaches its zero value at the moment at which the sensor also assumes the distance r1 from the center point 11 of the template. This allows the workpiece to remain in this position so that, for example, drill heads arranged above the workpiece now approach the workpiece and drill it accordingly. In this way, the workpieces can be precisely aligned fully automatically.
If the workpiece contour is shaped in such a way that the position is not yet precisely fixed by the radius r1, that is, there are several points on the circumference of the workpiece that have the same radius, a second support can be provided, as the figure shows who the one on which a second feeler sits. The feeler 176 sits on the support 1'77, which can be moved back and forth in the direction C-D by the drive element 178. A further machine potentiometer 179 is now coupled with this support. For the bridge circuit of this Po tentiometer 179, a further adjustment potentiometer 180 (Fig.13b) is provided. This is set to the radius r2.
The rotary movement of the workpiece and the movements of the supports 167 and 1-77 are only switched off when the positions of the two machine potentiometers 174 and 179 match the setting potentiometers 175 and 180 (FIGS. 13a and 13b). As mentioned, a special bridge arrangement with an amplifier can be provided for the machine potentiometer 179 and the setting potentiometer 18'0. However, it is also possible to use a step-by-step switching mechanism that switches the line connections to the bridge when the first measured value, that is to say the measured value r1, occurs.
In the first switch position of the continuation mechanism, the machine potentiometer 174 and the setting potentiometer 17'5 are connected to the measuring bridge. In the second switching position of the stepping mechanism, the potentiometer 179 is connected to the measuring bridge together with the adjustment potentiometer 180. If the sensor 171 has reached the value r1 during the scanning process, the measuring bridge is balanced and the switching tube controlled by the diagonal voltage of the bridge ignites, whereby the switching mechanism is switched to the next switching position. If the second sensor has now also reached the correct distance, the measuring bridge is balanced again and the switching tube ignites again.
As a result, the indexing mechanism is switched again and all drive elements for moving the workpiece are shut down. At the same time, the indexing mechanism gives an impulse for the following work process, for example the drilling process.
Of course, you can also see a third sensor in an analogous manner and increase the number of potentiometers if the shapes of the workpieces and the type of clamping make this necessary. While the automatic material feed on punching machines, automatic turret machines, etc. could already be solved, this was previously not possible on many other machine tools and work processes. The described automatic system offers great advantages especially for the automation of the clamping processes in such machines. This also makes it possible to automate assembly lines that were previously operated by hand. The control can also be expanded so that the workpieces are checked using various types of feeler.
For example, one or more sensors can be used to scan the outline of a workpiece, while a photoelectric sensing device checks the various colors of the workpieces. .
