Case for a lipstick stick The present invention relates to a case for a lipstick stick, in which the stick is taken out or returned to an outer casing of the case by rotation of a pivoting member relative to this casing hand held stationary. The case according to the invention is charac terized in that it comprises a spring-loaded musical movement, and means for winding the spring of this movement.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, five embodiments of the case forming the subject of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a partial elevational view in axial section of a first embodiment of this case.
Fig. 2 is a partial sectional view of the second embodiment.
Fig. 3 is a partial sectional view similar to FIG. 2 of the third embodiment.
Fig. 4 is a partial sectional view similar to FIG. 2 of the fourth embodiment.
Fig. 5 is a cross section taken on line 5-5 of FIG. 4.
Fig. 6 is an axial sectional view of the fifth embodiment. The lipstick stick case shown in fig. 1 comprises a fixed outer casing 1, only part of which is visible and in which the red stick (not shown) is taken out or returned by rotation of a pivoting member 2 with respect to this casing 1.
The pivoting member 2 forms the base of the case and comprises a base 3 on which is mounted a musical movement designated generally as 4. This musical movement is of the known type comprising a spiked roller 5 cooperating with vibrating blades (not shown) and driven by a spring 6 mounted in a rotating barrel 7.
The spring 6 is hooked, on the one hand, to the barrel 7 and, on the other hand, to an axis 8 carrying at one end a winding pinion 9 and a ratchet wheel 10 cooperating with a pawl 11 solid. a casing 12 surrounding the barrel 7 and fixed to the base of the musical movement. The pinion 9 meshes with a toothed ring 13 integral with a sleeve 13 'fixed inside the casing 1 which has a flare 14 intended to cover the pinion 9 and the toothed ring 13.
The operation of the case described is as follows. To make the red stick come out of the case, the operator rotates the pivoting member 2 around the axis AA of the case while maintaining the fixed casing 1. The pinion 9 is driven by the toothed ring 13 and goes up the spring 6 by its axis 8. This spring 6 is supposed to be sufficiently wound up when the pivot member 2 has made almost one turn, which corresponds, on the other hand , when the red stick is moved out of the envelope 1.
The pawl 11 coming into engagement with the ratchet wheel 10 allows the tensioned spring 6 to drive the barrel 7, the toothed ring 7 'of which meshes with a pinion integral with the shaft of the spiked roller 5. The latter then rotates for the time necessary to play at least one melody. A snap-fastening, not shown, is furthermore arranged to allow the red stick to be entered into the casing 1 while maintaining the engagement of the winding pinion with the entry ring 13.
In the embodiment of FIG. 2, a helical spring 15 is arranged between the bottom 16 of the pivoting member 2 and a flange 17 of an extension 18 of the fixed casing 1. The musical movement 4 is similar to that of FIG. 1 and comprises a winding pinion 9 'intended to engage with an internal toothed crown 19 fixed inside the extension 18 of the fixed casing 1. A socket 20, intended to receive the red stick, participates to the rotation of the component 2.
The operation of this embodiment is as follows. The baton de rouge can be controlled from the pivoting member 2 without winding the musical movement as was the case in the embodiment of FIG. 1. In fact, by rotating this pivoting member 2 around the axis AA of the case, the red stick rises or falls in the fixed casing 1 through the intermediary of the movable sleeve 20 independently of any action. reassembly.
If the operator wishes to wind the movement back to musi c 4, he then exerts a thrust on the bottom of the pivoting member against the action of the spring 15 so as to bring the winding pinion 9 'into engagement with the toothed crown. 19.- The spring 6 is then reassembled as in the case described above and by releasing the pivoting member 2 the music plays until the spring 6 is relaxed.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the bottom 16 'of the pivoting member 2 carries a toothed ring 21 intended to engage during the winding operation with the winding pinion 9' when the member 2 is pushed against the action of a spring 15 'placed between the bottom 16' and an extension 18 'of the fixed casing 1, as in the case of the previous embodiment. The musical movement 4 is fixed to a flange 22 of the casing 1.
A central rod 32 fixed to the bottom 16 'of the pivoting member 2 is connected to arms 33 fixed to an internal sleeve 20' intended to receive the red stick.
When winding the spring 6 of this embodiment, the toothed ring 21, while rotating, drives the winding pinion 9 'of the musical movement 4 which, for its part, is fixed relative to the casing 1 of the case . The sleeve 20 'is simultaneously driven in rotation by means of the rod 32 of the arms 33 and serves to control the movement of the red stick.
In the embodiment of FIG. 4, the base of the case is formed of two concentric pieces 23 and 24, the piece 23 corresponds to the pivoting member and comprises a bottom 3 as in the embodiment of FIG. 1, on which the musical movement 4 is fixed. A clutch device shown in FIG. 5 is mounted between the two concentric parts 23 and 24 so as to allow the control of the red stick independently of the re-assembly of the musical movement.
This clutch device comprises on the internal part 24 a stop 25 formed by pushing the material and on the external part 23 two stops 26 and 27 intended to cooperate with the stop 25 according to the direction of rotation of one of the parts. with respect to the other, as will be described below. A ball 28, biased by a spring 29, serves to retain the two parts 23 and 24 by friction, this ball not being in the same plane as the stops 26 and 27.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows Assuming that the operator rotates the part 23 in the direction of the arrow, the stick of red comes out of the case (fig. 5), the part 24 being driven. by friction. When the red comes out, the part 24 is immobilized, the stop 26 will join the stop 25 and, continuing the rotational movement of the part 23, the part 24 is in turn driven by the stop 26,
This has the effect of winding the spring 6 of the musical movement by means of the ring gear 19 'and of the winding pinion 9', as in the case of FIG. 2. By rotating part 23 in the opposite direction, part 24 is driven by friction and the red stick retracts. When it is at the bottom, the part 24 is blocked and, continuing the rotation, the stop 26 leaves the stop 25, and it is the stop 27 which comes into contact with the stop 25. The musical movement is then ready. for a new reassembly.
Thanks to the two stops, winding is limited and, consequently, a breakage of the spring is avoided.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6, 30 designates a sliding support for the red stick. A rack 31 is fixed to the support 30 and engages a winding pinion 9 "shown in phantom. The pivoting member 2 carries the musical movement 4 and is extended by a sleeve 2 'extending to the inside the fixed envelope 1 of the case.
By rotating this member 2 relative to the fixed casing 1, the sliding support 30 moves axially inside the sleeve 2 'while participating in the rotational movement of the latter, for example, by the 'Intermediate helical grooves made in the fixed part cooperating with pins integral with said support 30 which slide in longitudinal slots of the sleeve 2'. The rack 31 is lifted by the support 30 and drives the winding pinion 9 ".
The red stick can be tucked into the case even if the chainring is engaged with the 9 "winding pinion, thanks to the interposition of a not shown locking mechanism. Alternatively, the rack could be replaced by a wire winding on a winding pulley.
In the embodiments described, the musical movement comprises a rotary barrel as used in watchmaking. It would also be possible to mount a movement comprising a fixed barrel and provide at the end. winding stroke of the spring, for example, toothless sectors allowing the winding gears to rotate freely.
