Description

Inspection door for a built-in bathtub The object of the invention is an inspection door for a built-in bathtub, characterized in that it comprises a frame intended to be fixed in an opening in the wall surrounding the bathtub, and in which is embedded a second frame which is removably attached to the first, and which carries a wall intended to close the aforementioned opening.

The attached drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of this gate. Fig. 1 is a front view; fig. 2 a vertical section.

The gate shown comprises four earthenware tiles 1, 2, 3, 4 held assembled in a metal frame 5 by a screw 6 screwed into a cross member 7 whose ends are welded to the rear of this frame, the head of the screw 6 being clamped against a washer 8, and the outer sides of each tile penetrating behind a front edge of said frame, the section of each of the four sides of which is L-shaped.

Tabs 9 welded to the rear of the frame 5 contribute to the fixing of the tiles.

A metal frame 10 surrounding the frame 5 is intended to be permanently fixed in an opening in the wall surrounding the bathtub. The two frames are fixed to one another by means of a screw 11 and tenons 12. These are integral with the frame 5 and enter holes in the frame 10.

It suffices to unscrew the screw 11 to be able to remove - the frame 5 at the same time as the earthenware tiles which are fixed to it, the tenons 12 being able to be released after tilting the frame 5. A slight play is sufficient to allow this tilting.
