Bottle opener device The present invention relates to a bottle opener device characterized in that it comprises a housing forming a handle and in which is mounted a musical movement, means for attaching the cap of a bottle, integral with said housing, and means for triggering the musical movement during use of the device.
The drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the device forming the subject of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of the first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a side view of the second embodiment.
Figs. 3 and 4 are variants of a detail of FIG. 1.
Fig. 5 also shows a variant of a detail of FIG. 2.
The bottle opener device shown in FIG. 1 comprises a case in two parts, one of which, not shown, forms a cover and the other designated by 1 contains a musical movement 2. A bracket 3, integral with the case, has hooking projections 4 for the ar rachage of the closure cap of a bottle. The stirrup 3 is formed from an iron rod of circular section, the ends 5 of which are crimped into a part 6 fixed inside part 1 of the housing.
The musical movement 2 comprises a spiked roller 7 cooperating with a comb with vibrating blades 8 and an air regulator 10 driven by a motor 9 via a train of gears. A mass 11 is slidably mounted on a curved rod 12, one end of which has a stop for said mass and the other end of which is fixed to the base of the musical movement by means of one of the screws 13 of the comb 8. The end mite 14 of mass 11 protrudes into the path of the wings of regulator 10 in order to block the latter when the device is in the standing position shown in FIG. 1.
The operation - of the device described is as follows: To tear off the closure cap of a bottle, the user, who holds the device by the casing forming the handle, swings the latter so that the bracket 3 tilts towards the bottom. The mass 11 then slides on the re-curved rod 12 in the position indicated in phantom and its end 14 moves away from the trajectory of the regulator, which allows the musical movement to start.
As soon as the user returns the box to its upright position, as shown in fig. 1, the mass 11 abuts against the end of the curved rod 12 and comes into the path of the regulator 10, which stops the musical movement. .
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the bracket 3 is replaced by a part 15 fixed laterally (by screwing, welding or riveting, for example) on the housing forming the handle, this part having a notch 16, the lower part of which is in the form of a hook 17.
The part 15 could be replaced by that shown in FIG. 5 and comprising a hook 17 'formed from a strip of metal folded over so as to present two flanges 15' welded to the hook 17 '.
The housing forming the handle is shown with its two parts 1 and the joined together, the part constituting the cover which fits over part 1 along the junction line 18.
The musical movement, not shown, disposed in part 1 of the case, is re-mounted from the outside by means of a key 19, the ring 20 of which can be folded against the wall of the case.
In the variant, shown in FIG. 3, the automatic triggering mechanism of the musical movement is arranged in such a way that this movement is started when the case is tilted and continues to play until the end of a melody regardless of the subsequent position of the housing, that is to say even when the housing is upright as shown in Figs. 1 and 2. For this purpose, the sliding mass 11 is replaced by a lever 21 capable of tilting about an axis 22 integral with a support 23 fixed to a screw 13 of the comb 8. One end of this lever 21 has a finger 24 positioned opposite a hole 25 made in toothed wheel 26 wedged on the shaft of roller 2.
The other end of lever 21 has a spout 27 against which abuts one of the fins of the air regulator 10, the other fin of which is curved so as not to be stopped by said spout 27. Thus, when the bottle opener device is tilted in its position of use, the weight of the part of the lever 21 located on the side of the spout 27 with respect to the axis 22 causes this lever 21 to tilt around this axis, which releases the regulator 10 and sets the movement with music on. By resting the device vertically on the table, the musical movement continues to run until the finger 24 falls into the hole 25 under the effect of the weight of the lever 21 located to the right of the axis 22, the nozzle 27 then again blocking the regulator.
The musical movement could also be triggered by a pressure button 28 arranged at the base of the device and cooperating with the air regulator 10 (FIG. 4). A spring 29 pushes the button 28 into its position projecting outside the housing 1. When the bottle opener device is placed vertically, on the table for example, the button 28 is dark in its position shown in dotted lines in FIG. 4 and blocks the regulator 10, thus stopping the musical movement. The latter starts up again as soon as the device is no longer resting on the table.
The housing forming the handle of the device described may have the shape of a bottle, of a musical instrument such as a guitar or banjo, or of any other object such as a padlock, mirror, etc.
